I've been shopping here for probably close to 10 or 15 years tonight is definitely the Last time I will be coming here. First of all their prices are absolutely ridiculous and by far the most expensive in the bay area you can go there and buy something for $30 and by the time they add on top all their ridiculous charges you're spending $45-$47 they can claim whatever they want about how they have to add those charges but I can tell you with 100% certainty that none of the other places I go and none of the other places that I order delivery from charge those ridiculous prices also upon entering the front door tonight one of their short extremely rude employees almost knocked me over trying to come out of his work saw me standing there after he hit me with the door looked at me like I was crazy and didn't even say excuse me or sorry just a total douche bag. I went in the store but because of what had happened I walked out and I will never be back. I can't believe that he was raised like such an animal that he would hit somebody with a door and not even acknowledge them or say excuse me. This place used to be great but unless do you like dealing with rude employees and spending most of your paycheck on the same exact shit that you can get anywhere else for cheaper and it's literally cheaper to have a delivered then it is to go here I'd recommend going elsewhere. Their selection also sucks anytime I go here they say we're out of this we're out of that.. also the last time that I came here I mentioned that I like strawberry cough and the fact that It actually tasted like strawberries and the dude made a passive aggressive joke about it that was just awkward and rude. Lastly about two months ago I bought a battery to use for Vape cartridges that of course was way overpriced but I was desperate because the place I usually buy them was closed. The battery worked for about three days and they didn't even offer replacing it or returning my money so I had no choice but to throw it away and go buy a new one. Also be prepared to wait half an hour even if there's only one or two people in front of you because they are going to have about 10 employees walking around doing nothing and only one at the counter helping. Read all of the recent one into star reviews this place has gone to shit.
I've been shopping here since you needed a medical referral. So great that now they are open to all over 21. The first couple of weeks of shelter in place, when they were trying to stay open and scrambling to comply with new state orders, was quite chaotic and poorly organized. But I am happy to report that they have since figured it out. Excellent web site for pre-orders, smooth process of texting when you arrive and they send out your order. These folks have always been super nice, polite, respectful and helpful to me. Stock seems to change weekly but they always have something good available.
So I came into this place yesterday and I bought a couple clones. But when I got home I took a look at the rockwool at the bottom and it was loaded with these worms I thought it was weird because it looked like the roots were breathing. But in fact they were a larva Nat that destroys the plant tried calling today see if I get a refund or work something out still haven't heard anything pretty disappointed..
Get your state identification scanned to get in line. Prices differ between medical and recreational. ATM out front, but best to skip it if possible. On my first visit early this year, the line was stretched. However, moved fairly quick. Second time around was a dream. I felt I had the time in the world to chat with the tender. Their menu on their big screen tremendously helped. I was able to decide prior to reaching the tender. They got quality flowers and edibles too. Parking is available on their private lot, but not much. Organized and polite sums up the service they provide.
Their prices and taxes are ridiculously HIGH! No pun intended. The parking lot is also very awkward
Absolutely love BPG! Been coming here for 10 years and have always had a great experience up until a few days ago. Our budtender Ilana I think her name was seemed like she really didn't want to help us. We would ask her questions and instead of verbally responding she would just point to things. She made me feel like I should get out of her hair so instead of making my full purchase I decided to leave. Not trying to get anyone in trouble but the whole situation was really off-putting. Everyone has their bad days so maybe I caught her on a bad day but when patients are coming in and spending literally hundreds of dollars you should try to be friendly because you never know who they are or what kind of tip they may leave you.
Drove all the way here cause it said they had a certain item in stock online & they didn't. They should def update that.
Still rude !!! I can't believe it but the same dead eyed cashiers are still there. If you are young and pretty the guy will fawn all over you . But if you're a senior you don't even get a greeting..or you get a half assed one. Hey management , do something!!
I recently purchased clones from here and there were no roots! I asked for a refund and the guy basically tols me ...too bad so sad cuz I had them reserve them for me? And good luck with my grow? I wont have one cuz you gave me clones at $40 a piece and they are not going to grow! WILL NEVER EVER BUY A CLONE FROM HERE AGAIN! I boight 4 so I'm out almost $200 and I live on a fixed income. Thats why I wanted to grow my own medicine. SHAME ON YOU BPG!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE FOR THE PATIENTS?
Ordered online for curbside pickup. Within a half hour, they sent me a confirmation that my order was ready to pick up.Although the parking lot was busy, there was plenty of parking on the side. Texted my name and spot # and was responded to instantly. The gentleman asked if I would be paying cash or card and once answered he was at my car window. He was masked/gloved up and was respecting social distancing. The whole process from online to pickup was smooth and professional! And with out saying , the product was wonderful too
I have been coming to bpg for yrs. I have loved it here untill tonight. I usually buy the 1 gram cartirdges, and i buy them from many different dispenseries and every other place except bpg theyre always full. Everytime i buy one here its always missing a lil bit but i never think much of it and i let it go. I went in tonight with my friend and at first i open the bag to check my express order and its not what i ordered. Its not whats even on the receipt stapled outside the bag. So the pink haired employee goes to get what i ordered, i think nothing of it and i pay then leave. I get to my car and i open it to check it and theres more then normal missing. A good amount. Now i always knew that obviously the employees were "sampling" the products then selling them but tonight just solidified what i thought. So i just turn around and go right back in, security didnt even make me re check in my id cuz he recognized me 2 seconds ago. I go in and show pink haired lady. I came back in 2 seconds later, and she doesn't apologize she just walks away and comes back with a guy (manager?) And he hands me a new cartridge and says "here see if thats to your liking" he doesnt apologize or ask me to reiterate. I dont appreciate the snarky comment. I pay for a gram i expect a gram. The pink haired lady and security can vouch that i had just walked out. The customer service was disgusting and unbelievable! Dont sell me something thats obvipusly been used that is unsanitary and disgusting!!!!!! Then make me feel bad for asking to switch it out?!?!?!!? Never coming back here again. Just disgusting espicially after how much money i spend here. How about DONT let ur disgusting employees steal! Its funny cuz every other dispensery i go to the employees tell you if theres a problem with your cartirdge bring it back with receipt and theyll fix or replace it. Bpg obvipusly is to shady to have good customer service. Ill be going elsewhere. Wish i was aware sooner. Despicable.
Have had an excellent ezperience the but tender was awesome. Thabk you for an great experience
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and seems to really care about the business, product and their customers. Never a bad experience!
some bud tenders here are real nice helpful people. some are very rude and not interested in doing their job and will be quite annoyed with you if you ahve any questions at all. this is especially difficult now that theyve taken down their menu screens while you stand and wait, so you have to ask the bud tender about their inventory.the inventory is also expensive and of mediocre quality. as mentioned by some other yelpers, the % thc is always mysteriously much higher on their showcase labels than the actual product you buy. always assume the % is much lower than they are displaying. the last time i was there, i was served by a woman who was typically disinterested with helping me. i had a very simple question about their inventory for a specific product line, and the woman shows me one or two options and is seemingly unwilling to offer any more information on the matter. i decided to ask for a completely differnet kind of product instead, and then the woman expresses contempt at my not having wanted one of the prior choices (which were also not at all what I asked for, I just diddnt want to see her even more pissed off when i mentioned that). then there is their so-called rewards program. there seems to be a difficult time typing in my 3 letter name, even when I spell it out, so often the budtender will get annoyed and ring me up as anonymous. i point this out to the server, and they laugh or shrug but otherwise do nothing. i havent been able to add much to my buyer rewards in over a month due to this, and its happened lots of times in the past. basically, B.P.G. is expensive generic quality with rude service. its also very much out of my way, and i was only returning for the buyer rewards program. this was the last time. I WONT BE BACK!there are 2-3 budtenders here that i really like and am happy to see them, and theyre quite helpful. unfortunately, i rarely am served by them anymore (did they quit due to all the new grumps?), and instead i wait in a very long line to have someone be unwilling to help and also be angry to answer any question at all. seems like the new folks are allergic to politeness ;)
Has the products I want and curbside pickup makes for an easy process. Great customer service. No worries.
I think the first time I came here was in 2012,maybe '13, in another part of town, and it was a great experience. Now they are giving away lame ass pre rolls to get good reviews. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!The customer service SUCKS, the prices are ridiculous, and the weed is LAME AF. I will never go back, and it's a shame, cause I would make a point of visiting there before I moved up here, cause I liked it so much. Now that I live here, I am on to the next place with quality budtenders and weed! Thanks for ruining my day...
Great service. Ordered what I needed, drove to the store for pickup and it was seamlessly delivered to me while I sat in my car.
A shout out to Drew.I preordered a gram cartridge. When I picked it up, Drew ch caked my bag, as always..He noticed that there was a sticker obscuring the size of the cartridge. He took the time to check it more carefully, pulling off the stickker. It was a smaller cartridge, so he popped back and replaced it.Thanks for noticing!I am a regular customer and am very happy to have this as my local spot. Friendly, efficient, honest.Totally low key.Great range of customers. VERY much all the flavors of Berkeley.Easy parking.I have always had my questions answered.Prices seem the usual, and I benefit as a senior and a member. What is not to like?
Top shelf is mid at best. Managed to get my order wrong. Upon returning, refused to honor credit they promised on the phone. Speaking with the manager on site, very rude and unprofessional. Seems they surpassed providing medicine for the community, now becoming another greedy legal dope dealer.
Front door lady is absolutely nasty. Aggressive, condescending, bossy. Came to get something to Help anxiety- she sure didn't help. For reference there was a long line, but it was quiet and calm. Won't come back until the owner/management says the have replaced herUpdate: the manager contacted me and apologized. I don't know if she was replaced but the frank honesty of the manager was good enough that I'll give them another try.
Awesome spot! Great folks, very knowledgeable and welcoming.Prices are excellent and there's no rush...
Weed sucks. Prices suck. Employees don't care. Place is a scam. All the weed smells like garbage.
Staff was very helpful. Will be coming back. Cheap prices and decent products for all kinds of clientele.
They are excellent at what they do! Prices are not bad and when you leave a review it's a 1dollar pre roll you can't beat that yay!
It's ok for the area. Not bad really. We all have bad days, like the dumb time I spent $60 on some special oil and get home to discover its all stuck in the lid and still is after 24 hours waiting for it to drip out. Oil: what was I thinking anyway? But now they have pickup ordering which is hella nice - you still have to wait in the express line but at least you don't have to deal with waiting for them to get all your stuff while you stand there and then order something else much their annoyance. Nice discounts At times but they do sell out fast especially when they have a sale. The staff is gotten a little bit better and less rude but it really depends on the day and the person. I've learn to live with this since prices are so high these days. At least this place usually has something affordable that is halfway decent.
I'm a big fan of supporting my local weed man, but when he's not around this is usually the place I go. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and in my experience, always free of judgement. I began coming to BPG as a patient in 2009. Ten years later, it's still my club of choice in the east bay. High(ly) recommend.
Love this place! The best deals on prerolls everMy favorite thing about this place is that you earn rewards for every purchase.
It was my first time in here today and I was excited to get some high CBD products. I was spoken to very rudely by a light skinned/white male staff worker with greasy hair on his way out to take his break. It was about 10:15am. While I was in line being helped by another staff person he barked at me to immediately move my car because I wasn't parked correctly in the parking spot. My sick father was in the car and I parked a little outside the lines to get as much shade for him as possible. This was literally all the way in the back of the parking lot where there were very little cars so it wasn't like I was in anyone's way. What bothers me most wasn't being asked to move my car, it was the lack of sensitivity and rude demanding tone I received. I would like people who work here to be reminded that many people like me come here with heavy hearts and we are desperate to help our sick loved ones. Please be conscious of how you speak to people. I don't think I will be coming back.
I tried to schedule a delivery yesterday, 11/30 and was told to reschedule for the next day because of some driver issue. I rescheduled, I received a confirmation email stating my order is ready, and I assumed all was good. I was extremely happy that I could just use my debit card, seeing as all other delivery services only accept cash. The time came for my delivery, I was handed my meds and asked to provide my debit card. Upon swiping my card through the reader, I was told there is connection issues and that I need to reschedule AGAIN! My meds were taken from me and the driver left.Nothing on any of the emails, their website, or the person I spoke to over the phone ever stated that I need cash as back up because their shitty ass debit system might not work. This is unacceptable and not something you would expect from an organization supposedly providing care for the community. If you offer a service, provide it! If debit is offered, make sure it works in all of your delivery region.
POLITE, EFFICIENT SERVICEGot off to a rocky start on my first visit to BPG. I ordered online, and they didn't have my order ready when I got there, nor did they have any record of the order having been made. It was a busy Saturday, though, so I guess they deserve some slack, especially given that they did much better second time around. Ordered online again and went in to pick up, on a Monday this time -- much less busy -- and the employees were extremely polite and professional, starting with the guys checking IDs at the door, who acted like customer-oriented service people instead of thugs, unlike some other dispensaries that'll remain nameles (hint: initials HH). Guy at the pickup counter was also very polite and helpful. I recommend BPG, but it's a good idea to go during a weekday.
Fast and friendly. Helpful budtender. Nice selection. Got everything I wanted at the price point of my budget. Very Happy.
I have been coming here for two years I like the products I like the price wish there was more verity but the staff is terrible not helpful at all with questions on products or any good with recommendations and a few seem as if they have attitude I have seen a few times employees just standing around talking as if they aren't at work. If your wanting hospitality I wouldn't recommend this place.
This place is great. It is also NOT cash only. They have a lot of selection of every type of cannabis to sooth your affliction or not. Their staff is both knowledgeable and very helpful. Cannabis can be very expensive as we all know. Let the salesperson know your budget and your needs. Relief is a herb, oil, snack or lotion away. The place is small, clean and comfortable.
Signed up a few weeks ago as you can see, process was very smooth BTW.Since being a member I've learned that they have these monthly deals that will always apply to the product that you are looking for! the range of discounts they provide is awesome!Today I did my first online/delivery order, here was the process.Go to there site, look through everything they have to offer and submit. You get a confirmation email, YOU MUST CONFIRMNext you get a call to confirm all the details. Since this month the O.Pen co2 are all on sale she allowed me to keep it on my account to use for next time since i was already receiving a great deal, I liked that idea. The didn't have what i opted to order so she gave me other options that were very similar strains of what i originally ordered and even told me about each strain! When you make a delivery time i just chose tomorrow at 2pm since i figured that would give them time, and she offered to have it delivered to my house in just 5 hours! These guys are great, employees are super nice. Other places have awesome things to offer but these people make me feel educated about ANYTHING they offer and make the entire experience VERY comfortable for a new client.Very pleased, Highly recommend, I just don't know how you could NOT like them. They deliver all over check out their website for areas.
This place has been okay until this year..I order a supply of flower that was advertised on their website with a THC of 19.5%. When I got to my car I checked to make sure that I got what I paid for...and sure enough I did not.BPG gave me a supply of flower at 15.9% ! ..which is a significant difference in the quality I need .The error was on their end and was confirmed by their staff. The bud tender Aaron tried to sell me on the "all weed is the same" malarkey just so he could make the sell!I do not appreciate that. I am not an idiot and I know what my body needs to feel better. The fact that people like him try to imply that THC percentage is all in your head is insulting and insensitive to medical patient's. It was a waste of time, energy and gasoline. I did not recieve an apology or a credit for the time I wasted on them.I would appreciate it if this business made a priority for checking their online products for accuracy and compensate patients with a discount or something when errors on the business end surface. People do not need to come to your business. We choose to because we expect guality and respect as a customer. It is not only an inconvenience to drive to your location and not get what was advertised but to be made feel like I should accept a lesser strain of flower at the same price is not my idea of quality customer service and it shows that you do not value your customers. Please get your act together.
Staff is super friendly. I always enjoy interacting with them :) The prices seems to be similar to other places. Cash is always best to have because then you're not paying the ATM fee. Their location is convenient with food and drinks nearby. There's also an amazing plant nursery next door :)I usually order online to make picking up easy and quick. The few times I've stood in line it has not been a long wait.
UPDATE: a associate reached out to me to apologize for this incident, which I really appreciated. She explained that they had been having trouble with their computer system, which resulted in some errors and stressed out employees. They've apparently sorted out the bugs, and service has been better the last couple of times I've went. They can have decent specials and inventory, but service is generally terrible. I had a bad experience recently after an employee overcharged me. It took about 3 employees and ten minutes to fix the error, which would be fine normally -- except each person who helped me acted compleannoyed by the situation. I worked in customer service for 15 years and I understand mistakes happen. I also understand that a simple apology and patient attitude can go a long way...
BPG has friendly and helpful staff and very good price range I like that you can actually smell the flower unlike other places more knowledgeable staff than other places as well I'd definitely check them out if your in the area !
This is an update on a review I wrote some months ago. At that time I felt that the vibe in the place was not friendly or joyful. As a result of that review, I was contacted by the owner and she apologized, which I appreciated. Subsequently, I have been there 3 or 4 times and every time the staff has been very friendly and helpful. They have enough staff so that there is little waiting if any at all. So now I'm a fan and it helps that it's 6 blocks from my home.~
I'm sorry to report that after over 15 years of being a loyal customer that I won't be returning. I purchased an xl indica cartridge last fall, discovered it was defective, called bgp. I was thorough - explained that I was there that afternoon and I unfortunately purchased a cartridge that was defective. I was assured - don't come back tonight - no need - come back whenever, you don't need the receipt (hv it on my phone anyway bc my bank acct shows all transactions) I go in yesterday w the unused cartridge and tell the bt (bud tender) my deal - it's clear this thing had never been used - he explains they stopped selling them 4 months ago and that no warranty will be extended- ok I say - how about a discount on my purchase? NO - I hope the owners read this bc let be perfectly clear - that's bs - the guy was aggressive - asked to speak to a manager and he said - I MAKE THE DECISIONS HERE - The security guards were waaaay cool and encouraged me to post - said the owners will want to know about this pls post - so I am - sucked ass and I deserve better bc I'm not a liar and I did what I was told to
This place has a great variety and veteran & senior discounts. They always mean well and sometimes have deals!
BPG, for its small size and un-sexy decor, is an excellent place for a seasoned smoker that knows exactly what they came for. The selection is good and the prices are exactly what I'd expect to pay. A staff member gave me a recommendation once and though it wasn't my favorite, she made a good attempt. This will be my primary shop.
This is my go to for consistency in great service and great product. They took all the recent changes on with grace and professionalism. Their herb is clean, local, and sustainable from all I've seen and tested. I had a bad accident last year and their products kept me off pharma pain killers. Definitely pre order if you can, makes it so much easier.
Good selection, and friendly helpful staff.... their prices are a bit higher than other dispensaries I've been too, but everything has been good quality, and the service is friendly and helpful
Dope prices, clean, sometimes their cheaper bud tastes like absolute ass, also a very high turn over rate, it also seems employees schedules aren't too consistent, from observing how some employees would have certain days off one week then and other two days off another week... this may be the reason for such a high turnover rate.
Joe has been coming to the Women's Daytime Drop-in Centers for many months to help us with our overflow of trash and goods that we need to redistribute. We run a daytime refuge for homeless women and children and our facility has limited storage. He is friendly, helpful and we always look forward to his support! Thank you to the Berkeley Patients Group for your previous fundraiser and for your continued community support. We treasure you and appreciate that we are in the same neighborhood. You have a great staff!
A coworker and I stopped in to see what recommendations they might have to help with my sleep pattern. I wanted to try something light since I am new to medical marijuana. Elizabeth went over a few options with us and we ended up looking into vape pens. She recommended a not so expensive battery (they were having a sale) and cartridge that would help get the job done. The next day my coworker told me her vape pen did not work and she had to return to BPG that morning before arriving to work. She was told that the cartridge we had bought (Eden brand) was defective so they had switched it out for her (after trying several brand cartridges). Because I do not live near it took me a little under 45 days to return to BPG but I had my vape pen, the unused cartridge and receipt still in the bag. I explained the situation to Naila who spoke with her manager. The manager (male) never spoke with me regarding the situation but came to the register typed in a few items and walked away. Naila said "the only thing we can do is give you points on your profile..." I wasn't familar with their point system (I still am not) but when she went to place those points under my profile there was not one. She apologized again and stated that employees are supposed to request your name during your transaction to find out if you are one in the system and two if you are a medicinal or recreational user. Well as she could see that hadn't been happening as I had a receipt for a purchase. Since they declined to return neither the vape pen or the cartridge I ended up asking for a cartridge that would work with the vape pen I already had. Naila tried a few brands and found one that worked. She told me that the Eden brand of cartridge requires a stronger battery than the vape pen Elizabeth recommended. I asked what I was supposed to do with the Eden cartridge I purchased from Elizabeth and was told to purchase another vape pen once they get them in stock as they were currently sold out. So before I purchased the second cartridge I wanted to see that it worked which is my suggestion to you. Make sure you try it in the store and they show you the cartridge and pen work together. You'll be stuck with it!
My BPG is a wonderful club where you're greeted by a team of warm and friendly people who are happy to help serve you and make the best recommendations on products and talk with you about effects and micro-dosing. Thank you My BPG...
Great place. Excellent service from an incredibly helpful staff. Even for a newbie like me they're patient.
Since 2010 BPG has been my go to dispensary and since then it's always been a pleasure but recently service has been outstanding including Dante specifically, he is a great liaison, very quick and very friendly. Thank you BPG!
Great knowledgeable staff and a history as the first dispensary I definitely recommend for first timers!
Great place to get deals and still high quality bud. Will continue be my go to when I'm riding around looking for a dispensary
Had to stoll in here on Jan. 1st to check it out. Great place, great customer service and the online ordering system is easy to navigate. Top notch product. Definitely worth a visit! Also they have ample parking which is a big plus!
My go to spot! I'm always in and out when I order online! The have a nice selection with friendly employees.
Love this place. Been coming for about 4 years now and truly wouldn't go anywhere else in Berkeley. Always friendly and great prices.
So good. Come here for sure! BPG is great! Nailah is very knowledgeable. They have a lot of products and honestly I wrote this so I could get a joint for $1.... go here
I love this place. They tend to have a large selection of flower. The staff is the BEST! Thank you BPG for being a part of the solution. I always leave with a smile on my face.
Friendly staff, professional atmosphere, and great prices for great bud I the Bay Area!
ok so today i spent $70 bucks on a gram of concentrate sauce (melon soda sauce) and most of it spilled all over the inside of the bpg zip bag, i'm def sure they won't let me refund it so yea 70 bucks for half a gram and no sauce left in this vial of b.s. you guys just lost a 7 year regular customer.
I've been coming to BPG for yeeeeears, always have had a very pleasant experience, I love all the staff members and they've got great products and variety there! Hi tony, you're awesome!
Thanks BPG for a great 420 Celebration, appreciate the Hospitality, free Bag of goodies, and the Coffee, waters and Fruit . Love your establishment !!
I've been coming here for a few months now and every time I come I always have a very fast experience. I use the in-store pickup option for fast checkout! Order online and pick up super quick. As long as they keep having good quality products, I will continue coming :)
I've been coming here for a few years and have to first mention I love their remodeling; it makes it way easier to come in and clearly see which line you need. Anyway, the staff is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable, I never feel like I'm asking a stupid question. They can help you decide what will work better for your needs (I use for sleep problems and pain relief) and have even been able to make an exchange for a vape pen that gave me a bad reaction. Only downside is how popular this shop is! Certain times have way more customers than staff, so it can be like a 20-25 minute wait, but they are still doing a great job. Plus they have discounts for promoted vendors all the time, and a rewards program, as if you need more incentive to come in!
For years now I've been coming here and always find myself back... very often you can catch a great bargain for your buck and a extra bang for your buck with talking to the knowledgeable bud tenders ... keep it up let's keep riding the wave
I've been to a few dispensaries in the area and BPG offers a wide variety of whatever you're looking for. The place is clean and professional and they have two different waiting lines. Express line if you know what you want and a full service line to talk with a budtender about your needs. A note on their staff: Their budtender are great and will give you detailed recommendations if you're confused or just starting out. If the budtender is short with you or trying to get you out fast, consider that they do need to keep the line moving and you may come off as a customer who already knows what they want. Also, if you're disabled you always go to the front of the line! :)I've also used their delivery service and it was great. The only minor hiccup was that the credit card machine was down due to storms. I had to go get cash from my nearest atm otherwise I would have had to abandoned my order.
Berkley Patient Group Is Great Place 2 Shop For Cannabis, Good Products And Prices , Staff Very Friendly And Knowledgeable, I Recommend It 2 Anyone Looking For Great Cannabis Shop !!! A+
This place is great! Lots of sweet flower and smiling faces. This was the first time I had come into a dispensary and I was able to find just he type of herb I was looking for- something mellow high in CBDs- thanks to the help of some great staff. BPG is my one stop shop for anything and everything bud-related. Also appreciate that they have a veteran discount.
Wow do I hate this place. Our flower experience should be an exciting, knowledge, and uplifting one; not condescending and rushed. The staff isn't knowledge or just don't care to converse with their patients! Every time I come here I wish I didn't. They lack strains (only two indica options!) and are incredibly over-priced. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I'm disappointed to see BPG raising its prices when other dispensaries nearby aren't doing the same thing. I was planning on buying clones from BPG like I've done the past 3 years but noticed prices went from $18 to $20/$25. Why? Same thing with Select cartridges and so many other products. I've been a loyal and frequent customer for years now and I always wanted to support BPG in my community but it just doesn't make sense to pay more for the same thing. While I prefer the staff at BPG, Harborside has the same products for much better prices and much shorter lines. I'm not sure how BPG can continue to act sympathetic about the crazy taxes customers are paying while raising their prices at the same time. Obviously, I'm not the only one that feels this way - their yelp reviews don't lie. :( Remember the people in the community you're meant to be helping and I'll return with my business!
What a complete waste of time. Will not recommend or ever come here again. RIDICULOUS WAIT TIME and crap selection. Didn't end up buying anything
Way over priced! I bought an eight that was $20. I used my debit and it come out to $34! They the eight come out to 27 and some change! They told me they have a 30$ minimum for card so he charged 30buck and gave me 3 dollars back! However they charge a transaction fee 3 bucks!!! Not only that but my charged me another 3$ because BPG uses some kind of atm when they charged you!! I stop going here long ago because they alway did this we, they try to play if some money! Don't go to this place, it's over priced and if you end up going here because you don't have any else to go! Use cash! SF has better cannabis dispensary for better quality anUpdate! 6/15/18 Got to editable for 35$ still over priced!! I try to give this place its last chance but dam! I still rather drive to SF! Better stuff for cheaper!
My spot, very cool staff and always have a good selection every time I go in!!!!!!!!!!
So I got an email from BPG entitled, "Exciting Improvements to Your BPG Experience!" and saying that they now have a medical line separate from the recreational line -- implying that medical patients can get in and out faster. So I went to BPG only to find of course, that nothing could be further from the truth!Sure enough, what used to be the pick up and express line is now the medical line (the front desk is the pick up point now). The recreational line was very long, and the medical line had six people in front of me. But it turns out that the medical line has second priority to the recreational line -- I waited as half a dozen people who arrived after I did were served before me. If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere. More importantly, why the fuck are prices higher since recreational sales went into effect? -- and don't say taxes, because on top of ridiculous taxes that guarantee a healthy black market in which high school kids and younger can get their pot cheaper than law abiding adults, the base price of flower has risen significantly. It's my understanding that before Jan 1, dispensaries stockpiled tons of pot at bargain basement prices, so why does BPG need to raise prices, now that volume is through the roof?Because BPG is a total bullshit moneygrab, that's why! Anything they say or imply about customer service or serving the community is hogwash. They have one of three licenses to sell pot (print money) in Berkeley and they act as if they provide a service, when in fact, they benefit from a city government enforced monopoly on west Berkeley. That Berkeley should be limited to three dispensaries is crooked as fuck and that should be changed, because Berkeley shouldn't be propping up such bad operators. But if there are only three licenses, there should be some reasonable expectation of the license holders.I clicked the link in the email to complain, and surprisingly it took me to yelp, where I've complained before. So here you go bpg! At your request I'm here the third time to tell you how you're doing: NOT GOOD! You charge too much money and act as if you're entitled to get rich, because you spent so much effort getting rich over the last 20 years. I'm going to complain to the city. Because, so what if y'all have been here since 1998? You've come so far from Jim McCelland's compassionate vision, that you no longer deserve your license! It's time for Berkeley to oust bpg and let a truly compassionate organization take over the license. And while they're at it, they ought to allow a few more players on the scene, as three dispensaries is not enough -- especially since Berkeley is increasing its population so much with these awful tall apartment buildings.FWIW, I have no professional affiliation with any dispensary or organization involved in pot business, nor with any entity that would like a dispensary license in Berkeley. I'm just a lifelong Berkeley resident that is fed up with bpg and wants change. If you're looking for a place to buy pot, try somewhere other than bpg, unless you dig waiting in long lines to pay through the nose for nothing special product.
Service was good. Delivery was late and I'm pretty sure this IS NOT an 1/8th. Won't be going here again.
The 64 shake up of legal cannabis has been rough on the wallets of medical patients, bpg has the consistently most affordable products in this new market place. They obviously care about access and as many of us have seen other clubs have blown up their prices
As a first time patient, I had heard great things about this place from a friend. Came in pretty late but they told me they were still taking new patients. Filled out my paperwork and came to the counter and I already knew what I wanted. Unfortunately they did not have the item. That's ok I thought, they told me they would get my free gift. They had run out of those too and told me casually to come back tomorrow. I live nowhere near Berkeley and had made a special trip just to see this "cool" place. Not planning on returning.
I'm giving One star for their customer service. The main person in particular, the Receptionist. The "line leader" guy was also an ass. We had a few questions to ask, being as it was our first time and the receptionist just kept telling me that her only job is to answer the phone, Not answer questions. So I go to stand in line, in awe of all of there products and trying to see the clones they had , then Line leader guy acts like his last job was at the air port for the TSA and ignorantly tells me to look down and follow the arrows to the correct area because I was in the "express" lane and high, apparently that's how they air control traffic their patients. Nothing here is companionate or welcoming. Considering you sign up and give them the rights to provide medicine for you, they should be more kind. I had questions about what days they took vendors, requirements, flower/edibles etc.... And the BRAT at the front desk said she didn't know anything and couldn't help me. Uuummmm, then why the hell are YOU at the front desk ??? The only good thing about this place is they will hold a clone for you, considering I came from Santa Cruz to get there. I will not being in a hurry to go back. The wack ass free gift they give their first time members is only a lighter, and a broken bit of chocolate. So stoked I gave them more rights to grow, and all I got was this lousy lighter and a total ¢ut to deal with every time I might come back. No thanks!
I purchased a defective vape-pen battery for which Berkeley Patients Group would not issue a refund because they were out of stock and would only replace, not refund. They do not have a clearly stated exchange policy for items that are not medicine, and are in violation of California Civil Code section 1723 which states that stores that do not accept returns or issue refunds must clearly display their policy. The store manager was quite rude in handling this situation and I will not be returning to Berkeley Patients Group. I would advise people not to purchase any accessories from this business.
Love their customer loyalty points and they are having 20%of for the month of June check them out
It was my First time here. The staff was great. The wait was not bad at all especially for a first-timer. The flowers come in glass so classy. I will come back here even though I live in San Leandro. I do not mind driving the distant for a quality dispensary.
Went there today and was impressed with the quick service and friendly staff, including security. Good prices, but the various taxes add up. California and Berkeley never miss a chance to steal from the taxpaying public. BPG gives seniors a discount on the price. No Medical Marijuana card needed, but the security people check ID to make sure you're 21 or over, which is no big deal. The guy at the counter offered the senior discount without my asking for it.SearchWild S.'s review (in the Recent Reviews sidebar) seems totally bogus to me.Has convenient on-site parking.
I have never been disappointed with my experience at BPG. If I know what I want, I get in express lane. I brought my elderly aunt who is also a patient and they treated her very well. I appreciate BPG. I've also gotten delivery from them before and it worked out very well.
I am giving two stars because parking is convenient and the security guard was helpful when I ran into a problem. However, while I was in there I felt as though I was treated poorly. I signed up online thinking it would be faster. But it is not so if you're reading this...don't waste your time with their online process. Lastly, I saw a lady making a phone a call in the sitting area so when I needed to call my bank I thought it would be ok. But of course I am not European and can't get away with it. The guy at the desk told me to leave. But he allowed the other lady to have a full blown conversation. I was waiting for a long time for my application and observed all of this. I guess the law only applies if you are a person of color and look suspect. Peace !!
I've visited dispensaries in several states and several in the Bay Area and I definitely prefer BPG. Quick to get in and out, easy parking, great selection, good deals and their customer service is outstanding. My favorite dispensary.
Bpg has been my favorite cAnabis for years! It's 1 of the oldest in the bay! Love them
This place is a ripoff. All about the $$$. Nobody ever reminds me to use my frequent buyer card, and fortunately I was good about reminding myself. You won't get any assistance from them on that since they don't make money on the frequent buyer cards. Once I didn't have cash and they said they take debit cards and to my surprise they don't explain it's an "other ATM" purchase, which means my bank charges me for the transaction, and so do they. I only figured it out when they hand me change and I realize they just performed an ATM transaction for $20 with my debit card. Very sneaky. Very greedy. One of the seven deadly sins. The pre-rolls I bought for $17 a week ago were dated 2014. Totally stale and completely reduced potency as a result. Weed has a shelf life, guys. Every time I go I come away thinking what a rip. There are too many alternatives in the area. I stopped going probably 9 months months ago, but ended up back there because I was with a friend and it was the convenient place. Not again. Now that pot is legal I'd suggest people grow their own.
sick and tired of there low THC I drive from Hayward to get my meds some time its most of the time it is not worth going to waist my money on garbage so they can line there pockets. I go to magnolia b.p.g is hit or miss 80% of the time is a miss 2 stars because I still go there over the Garden of Eden any day of the week I live 5 minutes around the corner from the garden of Eden very nice bathrooms always kept up
BPG is my favorite dispensary in the East Bay. While some of their stuff is pricey, you will also find a pretty wide selection of mid/lower shelf products at good prices. I tend to mostly buy these and purchase top-shelf product when it's on sale.I have, more often than not, gotten very good product from BPG. There have been maybe a couple times where I've been disappointed with the product (for example, their cheap $15-$20 oils) but most of the time you get what you pay for. I will say their $10/gram hash is pretty fantastic. They also have some cheap 8ths ($15-$20) which can be upwards of 20% THC.Service is great, never had any issues. Never been in express line for more than 10 minutes. It helps to do some research beforehand (check their menu) because sometimes the cashiers can be a little clueless about certain products/strains (understandably so, their selection is huge).Good product, wide selection. Highly recommend.
Horrible place . Asked when they would be offering clones ( dark heart nursery ) they had no idea as if they haven't been offering and working with that company for multiple years. And then expected me to call DHN and find out myself. Ridiculously not helpful and pure lazy. For people that don't live 4 minutes down the road 90% of growers. They expected me to make a 5 hr round trip on the idea they might have what I need but no idea for sure. Seems like lack of management , laziness, poor communication , and overall not giving a fuck about their patients. Go anywhere else don't support these frauds .
The staff here is a complete joke. The bud tenders are always in a bad mood. Everything in this club is overpriced. Save yourself a trip and go to a dispensary that at least pretends to care about their patients. Bpg gets a big thumbs down
I treat them like a bootie call now! You can be treated like crap, even though you've been in a relationship with them for years. Specifically, the entry security.
I like that there is a dedicated and secure parking lot. The recreational and medical retail store is a very high-tech operation. Your identification is scanned at the door. You can pre-order from the website ahead of time and it will be available for pickup. There are iPads at each register with the sales menu of available stock. BPG carries a wide and diverse stock. The prices to me are comparable to other recreational dispensaries.
1 star: painless and decently quick first visit1 star: HUGE selection of everything1 star: friendly staff, INCLUDING security guards1 star: bonus lighter and small edible for first visit-1 star: slightly higher prices (+%10-15 elsewhere), staffer that helped me didn't know a whole lot about anything, but was friendly and quick. *good little club, great options from sexy looking clones to CBD flowers and lots of oils
Drove all the way out here for some clones that they were supposed to by in the dispensary according to their menu on weed maps. Got here they did not have what they said they had on menu. Overall this place is over priced and has crappy customer service the white guy that helped me had poor customer service skills he was a straight up u know what. I actually called and spoke with manager she made it right. She was very nice but the guy that helped me I don't have the same to sat for him
I went here and the bus tender was not very nice or helpful. I asked him some questions and he directed me to look at the iPad rather than answering my questions. I guess they want people to shop online and don't want people to come in. This place is not very nice.
Alright, I used to frequent BPG back at the old spot and never really had problems there. Last night I ended up needed to find a dispensary open past 8pm- and BPG was the first find! I thought "yes! They're back!" I get there and have to re register, I end up waiting like 20 minutes while 30 other people came in after me and left before I even was given the "ok" to go to the line. Here is where I have a problem: your selection of hash/wax/concentrates wasn't too great and you are charging $50+tax for a gram of wax that obviously isn't a "finished" product. I ask about residual PPM's, test results, plant matter ect.. If I'm paying basically as much as a gram of clear concentrate it better test perfect. Her response to all these questions: "ya!" And that was it. Not real answer and I'm sure the girl had no idea what I was even talking about. I won't be going back to bpg, most likely unless I am stuck in a jam. Pls have someone go over your concentrates with employees and please don't accept bad product from vendors as it just hurts us as PATIENTS. Ps. Isn't this place supposed to be NFP? There are larger dispensaries in the area with bigger overhead, and still don't charge those insane prices for the quality of wax it is.
Even though Berkeley has lower cannabis taxes (which BPG proudly displays on their website) they actually jack up their prices to make up the difference. Incredible gall. It's actually cheaper to buy in Oakland even though the tax rate is lower in Berkeley. Thanks BPG and the Berkeley city government. Great job.
Nice little dispensary. When you first walk in you'll notice a clean bright environment. There's always parking. Everybody has seemed very professional, from the guard at the door to the bud tenders. This is the kind of place that you get what you pay for, so don't be so cheap.Minus one star for not selling 16ths.I'd come here more often if they did.
CLOWN TOWN USA! Prices are extremely pricey and the service is poor to mediocre. When this place was the only one in town a long while back I put up with the crappy service, paranoid security, and over priced buds, but so many choices to choose from makes this place a no go! Also, delivery is a joke.
nice front desk but not so cool clerk . they act so arrogant. the young asian dude is dweeb . he swore he was knowledgeable and thought I didn't know my tree genetics and tries to sale man me. Don't go for cheap products , they are pretty much garbage. FTP edible was wack also.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff in a clean facility. My first visit there was seamless! Also, recommend going on a weekday; there was no wait!
This place needs more discounted selection in tree. They only sell quarters on great strains. They also don't have specials too often. Their bud tenders don't know too much either which makes it hard . Only thing is convenience in Berkeley
The facility looks clean, security everywhere, minimal parking. The staff is super informative, give excellent recommendations and friendly. Even though there isn't a lot of parking, because the place is located in a gated area, you feel safe enough to leave your car unattended with even a window or two down. They have an awesome selection of hybrids, sativas, and indicas! I love getting the Open Vape pens here. Their packaging is professional with all eighths in a thick glass jarSee you soon BPG.
Spot is right by tha house, so I've been hitting it up despite the negative reviews. After about 8 visits though, I gotta say those reviews are correct. Most budtenders have been cool, the reception and security are cool, but this would be my second and likely last time I had a hella rude-ass budtender give me hella disrespectful attitude. One older white dude, and one tall Latina chick with glasses. Mostly been over "the rules of the express line." I was aware this time and always try to hurry, but I was copping a half, sight unseen, and just asked to see the buds before giving them 200$.Nope, same speech, "Are you aware of the express-line rules?". Not hello, how you doin, nothin. Just a thousand-yard stare. What, do you expect me to just throw you a bunch of hundreds and take a brown bag from you and sprint outta the building? Dafuq?Had me leavin there, hot. I feel pretty stupid givin them a bunch of money with a 1 in 4 chance of bein talked down to like a kid in grade school. On to the next spot, I guess.
I'd never been to a dispensary before this. It was clean and very well organized, and there is parking and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
this is a beautiful location, reasonable prices, excellent staff. closest to my apartment
After reading several reviews about how rude the girls were at the front desk I have to say I found them very friendly and pleasant. The dispensary itself was very small and very busy. They have an express lane which worked good for me because I ordered online. The young lady that helped me was very nice. I can't comment on her knowledge of the business because I didn't ask her any technical questions.I did ask her a couple of easy questions about pre-ordering policies. This really upset the rude, preppy 20 something behind me in line who mumbled something obnoxious. This is the first time I have ever encountered any kind of hostility in a clinic like this. He obviously needed his medicine. So it took me 4 hours with normal weekday traffic to get there from the dry county I live in. The closest clinic to me is about 3 hours. This makes it very difficult to track down clones because most places will not hold clones. BPG will hold clones for the day of arrival only which is the biggest benefit this place. This is 5 star customer service and a reflection of how they care about their patients. I haven't tried the medicines I got yet but I will say the clones I got were beautiful.
Staff is rude and unprofessional. Product is pricey , the place is dicey. I'm never going back.
This place continues to disappoint. The staff is hit or miss... not that informative, and they are rude AF. I stood in line for like 20 minutes, ordered my shit and discovered I left my wallet in the car. MFs made me go all the way back in line just to pay for my shit. Other times I order what's on the wall and they go back and then say they don't have it, but they have grams. So I said put 7 grams together and give me a quarter (other dispensaries do this all the time)... but they refused. The THC levels are notoriously low. If you don't mind the drive, I would go to hilltop or Oakland. This place is like the Walmart of dispensaries.
I love this place ! And I love the express line everyone is knowledgeable and so nice and professional wish they had more flowers but hey... still a great place anyway
I have been a patient for over 10 years- even at the previous location. Idk what the deal was yesterday 4/23/18 but I was treated like shit, boo boo, bammer- gum on the bottom of a shoe. I spent nearly $200 on some cartridges and the budtender was really rude to me. I am sorry to see that after January 1, BPG's service has taken a dramatic change for the worst. I get that more people are buying, but it would be cool to be treated like a human after a decade and thousands of dollars spent. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. You obviously don't need/want me as a customer anymore.
BPG is a place I've always had mixed reviews about.... having used their services and products for about 4 years now I felt that it's time to share my experiences. When I first got my medical paperwork back in 2009, BPG was among the first clubs I visited when they were still at their old location. There and at the new location, BPG has struck me as having some of the best variety of buds, concentrates, edibles and clones of almost ANY club I've been to in the Bay Area. And as a broke college student, this was and still is my go-to spot for picking up incredibly good medicine for the price point. For example, on any given day they have eighths ranging from $10 (shake) - $60 (top shelf), usually going up by $5 increments; I'm constantly impressed by the quality of their $25-35 eighths - some of the medicine I've gotten for that price would easily sell for $40-50 at other clubs in the area (I'm thinking of CBCB in particular). Additionally, their concentrates usually range from $10-50 per gram, and they often have hash oil for as cheap as $15/gram (!!!) that is the same quality as a $40 gram. They are also one of the only clubs in the area that I know of that has both an in-store pickup and a delivery service. Their delivery service has never been late on delivery, and they take either cash or credit - on 4/20 this year I was able to get my order within 2 hours which was pretty impressive. Delivery requires a $50 minimum. Now for the downsides: unfortunately, the well-priced $25-35 dollar eighths are not always in stock, and sell out very quickly as they are among their best selling medicine. Additionally, sometimes their stock in general can be pretty lacking in variety/price, though this is rarely the case. Their edibles run on the pricey side, especially for the drinks, although they are quite tasty. Sometimes the budtenders have a little bit of attitude, but my experience with clubs has led me to believe that this is a general quality characteristic of most budtenders even at the most respected clubs like Harborside or Sparc. My last issue is that since moving to their new location, you can no longer smoke in the store. At their previous location (a few block further down San Pablo), you could rent out waterpipes, rolling papers, grinders, and my favorite, Volcano Vapes. While this is not an essential function of a well-operated club, I still miss the stoney vibes of the older location - by comparison, the newer one seems much more sterile, "professional" oriented and sometimes I can't help but feel that I'm being rushed through the line. Regardless, solid club overall, especially if you're lazy like me and prefer the convenience of delivery services without any delivery fees.
Good luck trying to get a delivery, especially out of town. I haven't been able to get a delivery since January. Usually when I order I have to call back after waiting two hours only to be told I never ordered. Four times this has happened. I have shoulder spasms and nerve pain in my back and I really need good meds with no inconvenience.
If you won't some cheap bomb oil this is your shot in the "east bay"Price 15-25 BucksI give there oils 8 out of 10 But there bud on the other hand is weak 2 out of 10
Best dispensary in the easy bay. Their staff is very knowledgeable and always so helpful. They also have great prices and sales !
They have a good selection of products including some cheaper stuff, which is nice for when you need something that's not top dollar.
Has long been my favorite club in Berkeley! Great service, good selection, and solid prices. A staple of the community for many years
This place is the best in Berkeley. The only place i shop. Best customer service, good hours good prices
This place is amazing! I love the online ordering system, I can place my order and pick it up without the hassle of a long line. Everyone is incredibly nice and very knowledgeable on their product.
Placed an order online and it was ready within minutes! Seriously, it took less than 5 minutes. Other dispensaries are much slower.
This is my go to place for clones (as of recent, they stopped selling clones due to the new laws but thats okay. Will transition to seeds) and any flowers that worth trying out. Great service and advice. I like ordering online and picking up, makes things run much faster and smoother. Price is reasonable as well. If your in Berkeley, check them out!
I did not first understand how BPG could have such a mediocre rating considering how nice and clean the property is. After visiting several times I have found it just not have a very ambiance, less connected to me as a patient than most dispensaries I frequent. My girlfriend bought a cartridge there recently and took it back to have it replaced. She was given a cartridge with no threads to facilitate attachment to an OpenVape vaporizer, and when she noticed it at home, there was no accommodation offered but to have her turn around and burn gas, time, car wear and tear, to replace it a SECOND time. BPG obviously has enough patients! We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Cant say emought good things about the staff at BPG. Nothing but knowledgeable people doing their best to inform the patient what might be best for them. That brings me to my newest friend Matt who was actually someone who educated me correctly when I thought I knew what I was doing. Here is to those outspoken few who make a difference especially in my day.
I'd give 2.5 stars if I could, but since I can't, I'm rounding down.I'm new to this med mjx thing and actually have been getting it for my dog, who it seems to help quite a bit. My first experience with a dispensary was at the Berkeley Patient's Care Collective, which looks kind of seedy but where the staff was both friendly and seemingly knowledgeable about the products being sold. On my first visit to BPG I was impressed by how nice the place looked and, unlike other reviewers, I did not experience any rudeness by the front desk staff. However, I was soon underwhelmed by the experience of BPG due to the long, slow-moving line and the seemingly high-as-a-kite clerk ("budtender"?) that was either too high to remember anything about the products being sold or just lacked the requisite knowledge to explain what he was selling. Relying on the sales guy for relevant information, I found it frustrating to have him say he didn't know the CBD content of the products he was touting nor the actual ingredients they contained, as some of these items have ingredients very toxic to dogs, such as xylitol. And while I don't expect the sales people to know every ingredient of a product, I do expect them to at least know the active ingredient content, such as ratio of CBD to THC, which this guy did not.I returned a second time only to wait in line for 10 minutes, get to the register and find they were out of the CBD product I went there for. I realized too late I should have just called to find out, but I mistakenly assumed that this place was better-stocked than BPCC.My third time was also less than pleasant. This time I DID check online and even pre-ordered to ensure I would get the product and could use the "express line." When I got there, the express line had but 2 people ahead of me, yet somehow the non-express line was getting called up more frequently. When I got to the register for my order, I inquired about another product and was snapped at by the rather surly saleswoman, who informed me that the express line was ONLY for people that already knew what they wanted. Ok, well I know that I want to shop elsewhere for my medical marijuana needs. In fact, after that last visit, I'm prepared to take BART to SF or even drive to Oakland if BPCC does not have the CBD products I need, just to avoid this place. And this place is a 10 minute walk from home! What's more, the CBD spray I ended up with, of which they only carry the prohibitively priced tiny bottles instead of the much better value large ones, was oily all over the outside, which I later realized was a result of the product having leaked out. Instead of having 30 sprays, it contained only about 15. Not cool.1 star for modern, clean looking facility.1 star for the free, very tasty chocolate mint edible they gave on first visit. Though after trying that edible I realized that I don't really like or enjoy the effects of THC.
Convenient that they have parking, very nice people. I always feel fine going in (I'm a 65 year old woman), the people who work there are courteous, and they have a good variety of products.
BPG has a strong inventory of medicines, edibles, waxes, and clones. They have a wide range of prices and the medicine is of decent quality, though some buds include some primary leaves and aren't manicured all that well. Business wise, I appreciate this place. They seem to understand how to operate a business that can truly cater to a wide range of customers. It is further away from the triangle than most of the places I have bee to, so the quality is not up to Mendo standards (or else I would give it a 5). However, I was pleased with what I got, especially when I factored in how much I paid! By the way, I loved the "Bruce Banner".
This place is going downhill, their helpings hands program is a joke. They keep telling you this new list is coming out which is way overdue. They are very heartless on medical patients. GO TO CBCB they are much better.
This place is great, very professional atmosphere and kind knowledgeable bud tenders. My only complaint is the selection of edible and flower can be limited at times.
So a 5 because of their selection and cool bud vendors. but 1 star cause of their security. 3:My first experience there today was very mixed. Good bud vending but the security treated me like I was a suspect.I get in the express line because I already know what I want and I have my first time slip in my hand. The black woman security guard says " you know you're in the express line right?"I says "yea"Her: "Did you read the sign when you got in line?"I reiterate "yea..." as I'm being looked up and down. I continue to say " is there a problem?"Her: "Do you know what I want?" the whole time her body language being very condescending like a wanna be toy cop, chin up looking down on me over the crest of her nose with the Top Gun ray bans, hands at her hips stern and squarely facing me with legs at-east position. Now out of context it might sound like she's trying to start drama, but we're in a bud store so she's referring to the express line being that people already know what they want to buy without having long drawn out conversations with the bud vendors. She assumed I didn't because this is my first time and took on a hard core authoritative demeanor.I say: "Yea I already looked at the menu online and came down here for a strand I wanted to try here..." and I'm still talking to her while she is trying to ignore me and point me to the bud vendor bar like I need her permission to disengage in conversation with her.All in all everything else was cool. But the security guard incident made the biggest impression on me and I don't think I will be coming back. They have a big selection but they are strands from growers who also sell to other vendors so if you know what you want and look for where to get it around the same cultivating phase you're more likely to get the same thing (difference in post vendor storage methods might change some things). I can get Platinum OG hybridized with Girl scout cookie to get Platinum Cookies anywhere in the bay.I'm sorry BPG... one bad apple.edited === BTW I think some patience smoke medicinal because they have paranoia and such.... this is not the type of security guard I want to be dealing with while I'm waiting in line for such medical ailments.
Nicest people I've ever encountered at a dispensary. Clean space, knowledgeable staff, and efficient service! I will be coming here every time I need to re-up!
Love this place! Very helpful nice people. Great advice for novices. If you're looking for pain relief and nothing helps, this is the place!
Such nice staff, they were my favorite! And the products are great! Just long lines when I go in.
I had not touched pot in years and when I got my medical marijuana card I didn't know what to expect. This was an very pleasant and somewhat educational experience. A little pricey but buying weed from some guy that looks like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad gets old. Great staff, safe environment.
Drove a while to get here, had forgotten my license like an idiot so that's my fault, but was not let in because my DL that I had was expired. Had 5 different forms of ID and multiple credit cards, patient cards Etc including valid CA medical marijuana card and even recommendation. Wouldn't bug me so much, but this has happened to me before here and I was let in with no problems. Not to mention INCREDIBLY over priced taxed 1/8ths that are pre-weighed and sometimes dryer than dirt. I would much rather take my business to We Are Hemp. They weigh out 4+ grams an 1/8 right in front of you every time and don't charge 65 and up for tree. And did I mention NO SALES TAX. I just have to find a place that sells O Pen cartridges.
The prices are way to expensive. Patients cant afford your cheapest shatter grams at $40 a gram for the lowest quality shatter. That's way to expensive, Shatter rages from $40 to $100 a gram here. Minimum wage in Berkeley is $12.50 an hour. I have to work 4 hours to afford the cheapest shatter. As a Berkeley resident im a little disappointment I cant afford Berkeleys cannabis prices.
I get migraines, with a side of anxiety ever since discontinuing Depo-Provera (progestin, a female hormone) after a few years of use. I use cannabis every day to keep from having nauseating headaches. I need a constant steady level of cannabinoids, just enough to be able to still work in my office customer service job, and take a 9 level migraine down to a 6 to 2 level.Finding out abut Cannabidiol (CBD) changed my life and let me drive again safely.CBD is not psycho-active, and was close to being bred out of the recreational plant supply. It occurs naturally in the higher THC strains, but in my experience (and others') CBD works best with a low total amount and low ratio of THC. The only side effect I know of besides pain, nausea, and anxiety relief, is that the focus of my eyes sharpens, like wearing a better pair of glasses. The Berkeley Patient's Group has best range of low-THC meds in the East Bay, even though it is smaller than Harborside. They carry the most long-acting edible I know of, CDB-7 "Yak" whole plant extract capsules. Supplies are spotty, but its a life-saver with the longest duration (7 hours) that I've found in any medicine! Getting off the taking-something-every-2-hours routine has made my days much more normal. The dosage is standard, and is large enough that I can use only a little of something inhaled to accommodate additional stresses and migraine triggers. Warning! capsules are made with butter, so vegans beware (and store in the fridge).
I have came here few times every time seems worst ! Not only is staff and manger rude they have a very bad attitude letting others customers cut in line that me and ten others have been standing in for over 20mins .. PRICE TO HIGH -- TRY CRAIGSLIST PROP215
I truly hate this place, bad customer service, overpriced product, crappy deals, and last time I went they sold me oil which lights on fire when you smoke it. I'll never go back, don't make my same mistake wasting money and time here.
The last time I went here I had the worst experience at BPG. I've had bad experiences there, but not like this. I went in to buy a gram of $10 Cali Gold hash. I had $5 on my points card according to an old receipt. I go there, and my "budtender" (not at all) tells me i only have $3 on it. So I'm like okay fine. I hand him $20 and ask if I can take the points off the card to use towards the hash. He says sure. And then he hands me back $2. I ask him why, I should be getting $12 back since it would have cost about $7. Then he rings up a new total on some calculator and tells me it'll cost $11. At this point I don't even care if I got money off the hash, I just want to go home. So I pay him. And then I get home and realize the second receipt he gave me said I don't have any money on my points card. So I looked up the balance on my card (the website is on the back of the card) and it says I have $0. What the hell happened to my money?! Bottom line, save your time and cash and don't go here.Also- the only person I like here is Chelsea. Everyone else is rude or has 0 knowledge about cannabis. I, the patient, shouldn't get "I don't know" as a response. Or for the budtender to pull up leafly. If you don't know anything about cannabis, and you can't even tell me what a hybrid is, you shouldn't be in the industry.EDIT: My friend went in BPG with me and stood next to me as I made my purchase. He originally had $10 on his points card, and the same "budtender" told him he only had $1. That doesn't make sense, since he's been acquiring points for years.
The order pickup line is not. I stood and waited my turn in the right line, but suddenly the clerk advanced someone behind me and did not explain why I was being bumped. All he said was to wait and someone else would call me, but no one did. The wait was long, with 2 ahead of me in what should have been the express line, I waited 30 minutes and watched others get served first. Pretty poor. On the plus side, there is a parking lot!
Screw BPG. You guys sold me moldy weed last time I was there and had the audacity to tell me it's suppose to smell and taste that way. It made me puke. Only moldy bud or stuff doused with chemicals make me puke. And the manager had the audacity to argue with me in front of other patients. I never did go back nor would I ever. Most folks that work here are self entitled jerks. I know my bud and I know mold. Having been a grower, mold was my enemy. What you should have done BPG was not to argue with me and replace what was left of my bud. Or at least apologize and check your stash. I guarantee that same bud got sold to patients who have worse health issues than me. And mine are pretty bad. I can't imagine what that stuff would have done to a cancer patient. I won't take the chance again.
I first acquired my medical recommendation a couple of months ago and this was the first dispensary I went to. Since then I have been to clubs all around the bay but this remains one of my favorites. Great selection of any kind of cannabis product you can want. Plenty of great top, mid, and low shelf options. On top of that the budtenders are always very professional and seem to enjoy their job and helping patients. Security is nice too, which can't be said about every club. Would highly recommend going here if you haven't yet and are considering doing so.
I am a newbie to all of this. On top of that I am an old lady! I felt apprehensive about how to go about all this business of buying medical cannabis.I was especially concerned that I would appear naive and that I would be embarrassed.Aahhaa! Enter a solution, BPG has delivery service. What more can an old lady novice ask for?? My worries evaporated.AT BPG I found the most courteous, friendly and helpful people that directed me to what I needed and gave me helpful information. This was all via phone since I do use delivery.( this is my fourth order) I cannot comment about walk ins. I would hope it is equal to the professional and on point customer service I have received.Rachel and Carly are sweethearts , they are the contact persons that call for confirmation on your order. They answered all my "dumb" questions , with out any trace that they were "dumb" questions. For this I am appreciative. There knowledge is admirable . Their compassion was genuine. The delivery young men have been friendly, affable, and most importantly on time! If I could give them 10 stars I would, but will settle for the 5 allowed, to let you know how I feel about this wonderful establishment.BRAVISIMO!!!!
The quality/quantity of products available was very impressive. The prices were equally diverse, bargains to executive-grade. I had a delivery on a Friday night and it was so prompt and efficient I'm writing this recommendation. First class, I shall use them many more times.Just great, I pretty much exclusively get all my meds from their delivery service. Proper friendly and efficient, prompt and reliable.Just to keep the process smooth, I advise that you check out the menu online before you call.
Great flowers. Safe friendly location. Super fast delivery!! I'm all about customer service and this place is top 5 in my book. The staff is patient but still efficient.
So I visited this place since legalization a couple of days ago. The security guard outside asks for your I.D and scans it. Once inside there are two lines: one for pick-up orders and one for asking questions or purchasing. I waited in line for about 15 minutes and the employee at the counter was very polite and friendly. I dont really understand the negative reviews. Their parking spot is really tiny so I parked one long block away which is not a problem. Some people dont like to stand in line, however, nowadays there is a line anywhere you go, unless a visit is as soon as they open up. Lighten up folks. This place is good, clean inside, and they have a restroom inside!
NOT friendly at all. Everyone that I came across and had to interact with were unfriendly. I don't get it. Security person outside, front desk guy, female emptying trash, guy cashier "helping" me and the entire, weird, very off, horrible uninviting vibes from everyone. I mean, I really don't get it. I'm so confused. Taxed at 9% for bud that's decent so that's ok but I remember GDP being better and stronger... I recommend going elsewhere that is cheaper and not taxed. I was a first time patient there and yes, you get a lighter and a tiny edible but because of the super unfriendliness, I'm not planning on coming here again. Not ONE person said hello, thank you, please, nada. Shrug. What a turn off.
I love this place! It's not the closest to my house, but the online ordering and amazing customer service makes it well worth it. Their variety is great, both in specific products and price range.
One of the best collectives in the area when i come to Berkeley! Always have the best meds and great bud tenders!
My first time at a medical dispensary and it was a very good experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the environment did not sketch me out. It was busier than I thought it would be at that time of day but I was not in a rush to get anywhere so I did not find the wait unbearable. Got a nice gift as a first timer also.
I had to give some love to the new location. It's a little hidden right next to a nursery and this location is straight to the point. Long gone are the vaporizers..and the pipes and other retail items It's just straight to the point medication in many forms. You get your clones, flowers, edibles..everything from the same counter. I fell a little more in love with this place the other day when I went in and the bud tender showed me some grape ape that had been discounted $10. When I asked why, he said that the buds were too tight to make a good looking 1/8th for an All-Star, but it was still quality bud. They actually care about how the end product is going to look to the consumer & price accordingly. I haven't used delivery since the new place opened. I still may if they still offer, but there's just something about being able to sniff the goods and pick out my own bag. Also, they have such a great selection of edibles and concentrates that sometimes, it's hard to judge based on a menu online.I love BPG...they are my #1 go-to for quality meds and professional treatment.
Normally an amazing place with friendly people but one of the front desk lady's had a major attitude. I would expect this place to be welcoming and friendly considering the medical reasons patients come here for. She probably shouldn't be working customer service if she's going to treat people like that. 1/14/18 4:30pm
meh... they got buy 2 8ths and you get one 8th free deal going on right now...
i decided to take my business elsewhere after being disappointed repeatedly by BPG. delivery drivers often missed their delivery windows, and in-store experiences left me interacting with bud tenders who were frequently rude, condescending and provided WRONG information about CBD concentrates. the lines and wait times grew longer, they were frequently out of the vape cartridges i needed and sometimes employees were just too stoned to be helpful. i could no longer justify giving my business to BPG.
I'm here right now and this place sucks. The woman at the front desk is incredibly rude. I'm here with my mother that has cancer and she seems to have zero compassion. Woman at the front desk is chelsea - don't go if she's working the front desk.
Chelsea, front desk lady, is rude. She is in a bad mood and doesn't seem to know what she is doing. I left because of her.
Too bad they lost their facility, it was a good place, although very expensive when compared to other clubs in the Berkeley and Oakland area. I got a delivery from BPG once, and the quantity seemed a little light. Unfortunately I wouldn't put it past their delivery drivers from taking a "delivery fee" from each of the customers' bud as there is nothing preventing them from getting inside the bags before handing them to me. I haven't ordered delivery since...
This clinic is worth the visit at least once if you are coming from out of town (Santa Cruz) check out their Mix of PreRolls which Im really a fan of CBD emerald joints 2 for $15. Theres a security guard hovering outside but not 2 sketchy. Go eat at Alfonsos Cafe across the street if you get the munchies.
Don't use a card to buy stuff in the store. They overcharged me. There is also a steep fee when you use the card, which is 3 dollars. If I ever go back to this spot, I'll only use cash.
This is the place to go! The experienced staff were not so ripped that they could not talk (like at HBHC) and they actually helped me based on my need and the other "legal" medications I am taking! The prices are some of the best and there is always a great deal of something good. Overall this is well run and well staffed organization.
!! BUYER BEWARE !!I bought clones from these people. The clones were from Dark Heart Nursery. BPG apparently does not know how to maintain clones. They had gone into flowering stage even before I bought them. They were showing pistils the day I brought them home, although at the time I did not know how badly this would screw me. There was hardly any vegetative growth and my plants are stunted and well into flowering in the middle of July. I will have a severely reduced crop, if any at all! I have contacted BPG regarding this and have received no response. They apparently do not care to respond to their customers. I have grown many seasons and never had this happen before. If Dark Heart did not screw up these clones it was BPG who mishandled them. There should be someone knowledgeable on BPG staff to know that clones that are flowering should not be sold!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!There are many other dispensaries in Oakland/Berkeley to chose from. I won't be returning here.
They need to get better with updating their menu. We don't live in the Bay Area. We checked the menu. Menu showed them having everything I needed. Drove over an hour to get here only to find out they have NOTHING I came for! Not one damn thing. I asked why everything is still showing on the menu and was told, "oh they're probably smoking too much up there". That's not an excuse.
After the above issue I stayed away from BPG but did miss the convenience of stopping at their club. I returned last week and purchased 4 eights and happy to report they were all as expected. I spoke with the manager who was super apologetic and noted the incident in the past. However its been over a year and I feel confident now I am getting what I paid for. They are super efficient and organized and make shopping there so easy. Even the greeters out front are a pleasure to talk to.
I really enjoy this dispensary! Very quick and easy, get in see what you want get out. Clean, organized, knowledgeable and very patient employees. Most of the time the place is affordable as well.
This is the best club I've been to out of them all. It really does serve the needs of patients rather than just being a place that sells pot. BPG truly is in it for all the right reasons. They have classes, events, products, info on how to get involved with the cause, vaporizers you can use on site, a nice lounge area, snacks, awesome workers, and FREE CONDOMS...haaaay! They really do an amazing job and I love the diversity of their patient base. I always have great, friendly conversations with the other patients and staff and always leave happy with my experience. The bud-tenders really know their stuff and are always able to help me choose a strain depending on my pain level and type. They have an amazing selection of strains with prices almost anyone can tailor to their wallet, a points card system where you rack up points with each purchase which can be later redeemed for product or donated to other patients in need, a lot of edibles/drinkables to choose from, and nice pipes, books, and other accoutrements for sale at the store. The best part is that they accept bank cards. I know some people don't like to be traceable, but I personally don't give a shit about Big Brother and find this a very convenient service. I always leave with a handful of free condoms, a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, a plate of snacks, quality product, and the good feeling that BPG is in it for all the right reasons and providing a great service to the community of medical marijuana users in a safe and warm environment. Happy 4/20, everyone!
At first glance this place looks amazing . Parking is somewhat of a hassle. BPG's volume of products are alright, they have good quality medicine but a little in the high side. Went in there to get an OZ (zip), budtender was rude and needs to go back to customer 101 classes. The budtender a (20 year old) spent most of the time talking to co-worker next to him than me and keep in mind I'm spending 350 or plus. I even mention it was my first time but he continued to act in his typical power trip. The quality of my zip would be $250 or more anywhere else, at BPG its $309 plus tax. talk about over priced. At any dispensary I would have gotten a free brownie for purchasing a zip or being a first time customer. Guess what I didn't get any. So in the end I went to BPG and those pricks bent me over for $327 dollas. Never again. The only reason i gave them 1 was because the check in lady was nice and sweet.
Depressing, just because about 6 months ago I would have wrote a 5 star review-Looooong lines-Rarely a place to sit and medicate-only about 10% of the employees are willing to help or provide any knowledge of product, the other 90% i'm not even sure they smoke.-Sub-par bud at RIDICULOUS prices.I haven't been impressed with anything they've had for a few months, and very unsatisfiedTake the extra time to go out to Oakland or even SF, this place is dying
First of all, I really, really wish that BPG would update their menu on here. Please! Decent selection of bud. The quality of the bud that they did have was very nice. They have multiple Volcano Vaporizers on site available for use FREE. That's a HUGE plus in my book. I can buy a gram, test it out before I leave and if I like it, buy an OZ before I go. Win-WIN!
I have been a long time patient of BPG. it's my favorite dispensary. Until the other day. I was assisted by KYLE- a girl. Not only was she condescending and rude, I did not get the real "BPG" experience as I normally do with other bud tenders. She seemed very distracted and I felt like she wasn't really listening to my concerns. This was the first time I left not feeling great about my purchase. I hope they continue to keep the amazing bud tenders they do have in the front. If I do go back to BPG I will be sure to stay out of her line.
What's up with these Oakland/Berkeley clubs that don't sell weight. Only grams and 8th's.? So Bootsey. Hello you can legally sell one person up to an ounce a day. Wake up East bay clubs, that's why Frisco is killing yall, not just with the saturation of clubs, but with better selection, more weight options, edibles, and treating you like a valued customer. Customer service: Rude and have no sense of humor. Employees look unhappy at their job.Marijuana quality: Refrigerated like many of these clubs do. Feels cold and hard. Overpriced also. Their rumalan they have listed at 60 for an 8th, like its some top grade, but for the ounce is 176!? WTF! I guess they think smokers are stupid and can't add. That's not even with tax! This place is overrated and there not very friendly or maybe it was just a bad day nonetheless those prices are ugly and the quality they speak on isn't all that great FYI
Four stars for Berkeley Patients' GroupThey have a huge selection of bud. Probably the largest in Berkeley. Their prices for bud ranges from $5 grams up to $18 grams. I won't list every price, but they generally increase in increments of $2 per gram (5, 7, 9, etc.). This means outdoor, low shelf, top shelf, and everything in between. Their "All-Star" selection is their top shelf, and they always smoke well and smell stinky. As Amir B. said in a review below me, they do seem very sativa heavy here. Often I've walked in, looking to purchase a gram of their "all-star" selection, but four out of five are straight sativa strains. Maybe one or two sativa-dominant hybrids, but they seldom carry a huge amount of "all-star" indica strains. Unfortunate for a indica fiend such as myself. However, I'm sure they do have a wider choice of indica strains if you look at the lesser expensive choices. They have a great selection of concentrates. They ranges from $10 up to $50. And, of course, this varies on the type of concentrate you're trying to purchase. The wax will be generally up towards $50, while their kief/hash is a little cheaper. I've purchase a $10g hash, the strain I don't remember, but it almost felt bunk. Weak and underwhelming. But I also I recently purchased a few grams of their Sour Diesel h20/cold water hash, and it gets me pretty damn faded. I've also had their $50g Sour Diesel wax. It's definitely potent, but it may have been because I took 5 dabs within a few minutes.... Great variety of edibles. Soda, Butter Brothers, Bhang Chocolate, and some other stuff I have yet to try. I think it would be safe to say that they have one of the largest edible menus in Berkeley. They also carry clones, shirts, hats, and basically whatever a patient might be interested in. I do not have much experience with clones or purchasing gear, so I won't comment much on those. And yes, they do have a lounge in which you can use a Volcano vaporizer for free, or smoke using any other method you like. I haven't taken advantage of this yet, however, 'cause I don't have any buddies with a medical card! Oh well. Why only four stars?- Tax NOT included in prices- Absolutely nothing listed on the WeedMaps menuGiven that this is Berkeley, and numerous places cover the massive 12.5% Berkeley medical marijuana sales tax, I wish BPG would follow suit strictly from a compassion standpoint. They do implement a "rewards card" system in which you can get a little bit back after a number of purchases, but it requires that I return to them again and again to get my savings. I'd prefer short-term gains, sorry to say. Their menu is huge, so I don't expect them to put it all on WeedMaps, but tons of Frisco dispensaries do just that, and I would like to see even just a portion of their menu on the website. Like I stated previously, I'm more of an indica guy, so you can imagine my repeated heartbreaks when realizing they're not carrying that many "all-star" indica strains. Overall, this is a great dispensary. Their selection, for everything, is huge. Prices are fair and flexible to fit most budgets. Definitely a club worth returning to regardless of my personal quips about the menu and tax.
I go here once in a while just because I live so close but this place has gone down a steep hill. It's the slowest place you can possibly go to, the bud selection is terrible as well as the quality. They had some All Star GDP today that was barely at the 14% thc mark. Yesterday I picked up much better GDP not even marked all star or private reserve that was 23% at pcc so how bpg categorizes is a complete mess. I then asked for the special reserve preroll that was on the menu but guess what, about 1/4 of the prerolls they had on the menu were not in stock. Then when I'm about to pay the entire credit card system goes out..like can you be any slower. So I was talking to the staff member trying to help me and the staff has no idea what they are even talking about..they think thc comes from how the plant is grown not on the genetics. Last time I go there for the lousy service , lack of knowledge , and terrible quality buds compared to any other dispensaries around, they also have a great list of maybe one edible to choose from. This place has became a joke...go to pcc for much better quality or Blum. Green door in the city is top notch as well with a great lounge area. Don't waste your time here! :)
I am new to the medical cannabis world, and greatly appreciate friendly and knowledgeable staff. I definitely found it here. They have a good selection of edibles, topicals and tinctures - the lady in line behind me also raved about their buds. I as looking for something for arthritis pain and the staff was able to give me a few options.
This is the only place I'll go to. It's efficiently run, intelligently laid out, and features a good assortment of medications. I particularly like the edibles. Particular faves are the maple nut caramels and brownies.I've read some complaints on the security people's attitudes but haven't experienced a single problem. In fact, there are two that I'll take the time to spend a few moments with before going in. Where long waits are concerned, I don't usually encounter them since I do try to show up very early and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Important thing here is that I can't remember a single bad experience since I began coming here a year ago. That speaks well for them.
They have some employees whom abuse their positions .I and several patients have been personal singled out for intimidation by a certain individual who works there. This is supposed to be a place where you can relax, de-stress and medicate. All too often I feel anxious and uncomfortable there. If I didn't have a lot of friends who go there I would not frequent BPG.
a neat and a really cool club, they let you smoke weed inside the club, they got bongs and volcanos to use for free. The staff was really cool. This black guy working there was totally stoned. It looked like he was some kind of asian african mix. But he was a real cool guy. They you had to stay in a line to get your meds. This place is pretty crowded, so its gonna take sometime to get the meds. At the counter, the employee was sort of patient, did not show any sign of rudeness. They let me touch and smell whichever strain i wanted to look at.Even their bud is good quality, great stuff , lots of selection. The real down point of it is the price, BPG you guys really need to lower your prices. This place is too expensive. They charge like 60$ without tax for an eighth of high quality bud, now any old marijuana patient would know a cheaper price elsewhere for the same quality of bud. If it is strictly to purchase the buds, i would reccommed cannabis clubs in san francisco and oakland.
Let me be the first to incriminate myself......Awesome!Best assortment, most knowledgeable group of people dispensing and overall, just a cool community and community center. They offer yoga, massage, acupressure and other therapies of sorts and free!
It was my first time here today, and the staff was super friendly, from the guard up front, the lady who checked me in, to the dude who helped me pick my meds. One thing I noticed was that this place was way bigger than some of the dispensaries I've been to so far. They had a big white board in the back as their menu the strains they currently had. When I went in today around 6:45 PM (they were closing at 7), their top-grade was All-Star Romulan for $60 w/tax. I picked up an eighth of some stuff called Goosh and some Jack Herer. Both sativas. Both really good. They had a bunch of edibles (a good variety) and hash/kif. I think they also had some cheap schwag/bammer called El Bueno, but no thanks on that one. Anyway, like I said, the dude up front on the register was very friendly and gave me a quick rundown since I was new to the place. The tax sucks (thus the -1 star), but they do have quite a variety of meds to offer. The set-up of their back room reminded me of like a donut shop because all of the meds were behind a glass display case like a donut shop or jewelry store. Anyway, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Prices are a bit higher than most east bay stores. But it's clean, not dark and dank. It has an express line and a longer line. They didn't rush me. Explained everything and even made some suggestions. The quality of the product was really good. However, they sold me a wax that was horrible. But maybe the sales woman liked it. I thought it taste like rubbing your tongue on a toilet pipe. But each his own.
This used to be my favorite collective. There was plenty of parking, you can medicate right there, and they had board games and Coffey, tea, etc, for you to just spend a bit of time, before driving anywhere under the influence. Now that so many clubs have opened up in San Jose, we don't make the trips up north as often as we used to. So since we were in SF, we decided to hop on the bridge and drive over to Berkeley to visit our favorite club. Wow, so much has changed since we last went. They remodeled, so it looks nicer inside. However, the tables are all up against the wall now, so you can sit and use their volcano, but you can't hang out and play board games, etc anymore. The schedule said "body work" at the time we were there, but we didn't see any masseuse onsite. It's not longer a cute little "date" spot for us. I guess we're better off grabbing a sack and just taking it out to the beach for our dates now. :(+1 star for being dog friendly!
Went to BPG this morning to get some nice 420 product for the all day storm we're experiencing. They had experienced a power outage but were still open and fully staffed in the morning. Every person I encountered from the doorway to the counter was very pleasant even with the possibly stressful situation at hand. I respect the fact that they were actually making an effort even though it would have been easy to close for the day. I'm happy with my purchase and will be back.
Been coming to BPG for a while now. Great place if your on a budget and have a trusty vaporizer at the pad. The top shelf is good but a bit pricey. There mids hit hard sometime, then other times not so much. Everything seems to look like outdoor quality. Cool place to get your vape on or roll one up there, it can get a bit packed in there but they keep the lines movin movin! I have come across some dirt cheap 8ths that were pretty good. Its more like hit or miss in there. I go there for the Chron tons cant beat that. They have a good selection of concentrates there, I always load up on my keif and hash there. parking can be a jam but like i said hit or miss. I gave it my 4 stars because regardless of the quality, Ive been a loyal customer for sometime now. BPG does the job for me.Great for folks on a budget, but remeber you get what you pay for there literally.Keep up the good job BPG!!!!
Brianda was amazing! She was extemely kind and helpful, I felt like she really worked with me to find the medicine that was best for my needs. Thank you brianda!
This place has really gone down hill, especially in the customer service. Been coming here for almost 3 years and have seen the place deal with a lot of changes. Some really weird boarder line creepy dudes working at the counter, I always dread getting them. Usually a long line. Also, counter staff is always ridiculously high and it shows in their lack of ability to process basic math and just human interactions in general. Used to be a really nice place, don't know what happened. New management? I hear they treat their employees like crap and have noticed a very high turn around in staff. Miss how it used to be :(
I have been coming here for over seven years. I quit trying other places around bay area years ago. They always have a good range of pricing choices. I always start at the bottom price level and work my way up, looking over each price level carefully (they always give me plenty of time and only a couple of times over the years have I requested someone else to help me that isn't a dumbass, or a prick).I love the Volcanos on the tables; they used to only have one that was behind the counter and they loaded it for you. Now it's much more convenient and they have a Volcano on almost every table, for patient usage. The sitting environment is a big plus and what initially drew me to the place. I like to be able to have a coffee & social break before I get back on the road.Reminder: always start at pricing bottom. Rarely do I ever reach the top pricing levels, unless I see something really rare (like a good Blueberry, or CatPiss, etc.)
Fort Knox this one. A busy busy Fort Knox.Onsite consumption. Decent variety and even better prices. Came during lunch and it was BUSY!! But not like Harborside busy. This site is much more approachable. Only went into buy some snacks, didn't ask the budtender too much, but she seemed she knew what she was talking about.
Just went for my first time, and it was impressive. The first time it definitey does take a little while to get your stuff, and the prices are a bit steep, especially as the quality is good, but not as good as some other places. However the atmosphere is very friendly once you make it pas the first set of computers, and the fact that they provide bongs and vaporizers(!) for free use is super cool, and there is a community kind of vibe. It is busy, but theres free fruit and coffee and the guy at the counter was very friendly when he walked me through the process of using the volcano, and apparently they do music and open-mics and stuff, so that makes up for the high price for me - although the actual guy I bought from was a little snooty.Accepting credit and debit cards secures a 4 star rating, even if they do charge tax.
Good stuff here (pun intended)!Parking sucks, granted they have a lot. It's super busy, hence the reason for the loooong wait. They have a lounge you can kick back and smoke all day long if you like! They also provide snacks and water!
I had a really bad experience at BPG on my first visit, but I love the staff and the selection they have now. I am very pleased!
BPG has gone steadily downhill. Now they seem to be focused on reaping their profits from waaaay overpriced designer extracts (no product is worth what they are selling these for) at the expense of the quality of everything else. Even their "All Star" buds smell like GH chemicals, is wet and may or may not have some powder mildew in spots. The outdoor stuff is a total crap shoot: some is completely unsmokable and questionably fungal-infested, and also way too wet. With the far better options available in the vicinity, I have little motivation to come to BPG anymore. Sad, but true.
Been a regular here for a couple years. When I first started coming here they got 5 stars, but over time the selection has really gone down. And with so many clubs opening up everywhere this place isn't really competitive on pricing. But, it's 2 minutes away, the grading system makes sense, and there is something for every budget. The edibles are pretty good here. This place's biggest redeeming quality is the express lane. So easy and always saves me so much time!
I love this place! They always have good deals and have the best price for the o.pen vape cartridges. Raymond just recommended some potent medicine and it was as great as he said. All the staff is very friendly and always helpful. I come here 3-4 times a week.
This place rocks....the purple kush relieved pains I did not know I had!
Great club! They just put in an Epic Gardens clone rack and these things are huge!
My delivery never came... Twice... Even after i was apologized to... And thanked for my understanding... They stood me up again!!! Originally I ordered an eighth of Afghani x the white on the 24th of December... And I was told that my delivery window was between 8-9 they never showed up... Christmas day all dispensaries were closed so I couldn't get my much needed medicine... I called on the 26th at around 3ish and was told that my order would be rectified and that my delivery window was set again between 8-9. It is now 9:37... And I am furious. At first I was just upset but I understood that with the Christmas rush it would be difficult to meet demand... But after being apologized to and told that I would receive my medicine that night.... I am now convinced that you dont give two shits about my pain. I used to frequent you guys quite a bit... Now I am just livid! Fool me once shame on you... Fool me twice... Shame on me... I shouldn't be so naive as to think a dispensary actually has any compassion any more. This has been my worst experience at any dispensary ever. And I've been legal since 2002. The sad thing is ... Had I not been waiting like an idiot... I could've ordered from Harborside. Horrible service... I seriously hope you rectify this.
Nice selection of bud and tons of variety in the pre roll department and the express line makes it a smooth entry to a nice transition into the exit and new place is cool and yea...
delivery is shit here...don't start until 2pm and they get booked up everyday whats the pint of taking deliveries until 8pm if they are booked after 12????ridiculous
This review is LONG overdue. I have been going to BPG for almost 2 years and always look forward to my visits. Everyone that works there is friendly, the staff is very knowledgeable and I never feel rushed or stupid (I ask a lot of questions). The variety is impressive and the prices are comparable. I also like how you accumulate points for merchandise. I feel SO lucky to be able to walk there, too. Although that's not really necessary since they also deliver.
i have not been to the physical location but the online signup process was painless (and much easier/smoother than at harborside)... and when i called maybe 10 minutes after submitting my info, the person who answered was just finishing up putting me in the system. all of the people i spoke with throughout were present and friendly. i set up a next-day delivery that was on-time and included a 10% discount; the delivery person could not have been nicer. it helps that the website (another better-than-harborside item) is tied into stickyguide, but standardized and up-to-date ingredient listings appear to still be down the road a ways... still, overall very helpful.
I started going to this club over a year ago in the spring on 2008. While the club can get packed and people can act rudely, for the most part I've had only good treatment and knowledgeable counter people helping me (and my caretaker) figure out what works for me as a non-smoker who uses capsules and edibles to get my medication from the herb.I can highly recommend the food selection as I know it well, and if you're nice and polite, you can find out a lot more about the foods and pills and what goes into them (Indica vs Sativa vs blends).
I like this place. I really do. Coming from TX, and having just moved out of the city of SF I went in here cause I like the whole hippy thing they got going on in Berkeley. I like seeing grown men that are unkempt. It's funny to me. Anyway, that's not what it was. Mainly I felt like I was at a Tupac concert. And it seems they are very sativa heavy here. If you're into that then more power to you. Great experience, very professional and they take cards. One recommendation....if someone gets a large quantity you guys may want to consider putting it all in one package to avoid any intent to distribute kind of accusations should that person have a run in with the fuzz. just saying. Go here. You'll love it.
Went here last night to get some medication and keep in mind im very picky with my medicine. I was assisted by Chuck who was very knowledgable about his clinics products. He was very polite and i could tell he was patient and wasnt trying to rush me. He even let purchase a concentrate that i wanted instead of an edible that i didnt want and did the swap after the transaction was already done which i thought was nice. Definately coming back!
Good deals but the meds arent all that. You get what you pay for here. Although the staff is helpful and fairly knowledgeable they dont just rush you like other collectives do. Just wish there herb was more better quality.
A pretty consistent dispensary. They usually have a wide selection of all items from flowers, hash, oils, edibles, cartridges, and clones. I just wish they carried Essence Clear Oil again, they were the only location in NorCal that had it.
First impressions are everything. I went to the BPG at 6:15 p.m. to buy an 1/8th of meds for a long night ahead. I had a friend waiting for me in the car so I was kind of in a hurry. The woman at the front desk was very nice, but alone and had too much going on to deliver the easy breezy 4th chakra love bombing service to each and every person that crossed her path. It annoyed me that she would stop to have 5 minute conversations with people while she had people waiting to get approved, admitted, whatever. She was really nice though and informative. I'm not big on clubs that let you medicate on the premises and don't isolate that energy from people just wanting to walk in and buy medicine. I don't like having to wade through smoke and people's lit up auras and pot beings just to take care of my business. Whatever. Gotta own your shit no matter where you are right? So I got in line and waited for the absurdly surly security guard to call us in to the dispensary room. Granted there were lot's of people in line and waiting but that IS her job and I would think that BPG would hire someone to do it that was less aggressive and hostile toward their patients. Sandra is an extremely masculine woman with a man-hating vibration and speaks in only authoritative and sarcastic tones with people. I'm not sure she knows any other way to be which is why she can be tolerated on one hand and still pretty awful to experience on the other. I noticed a seat available and took it. A woman came in and said I can offer express service to anyone who knows what they want... I did and nobody was responding much so I half stood and raised my hand even though I was the newer person there. Sandra swaggered over to me and bellowed loudly "Can I help you?!?!?" I looked her in the eye and read that she was just being hostile and said curtly, "No." She then screamed at me, "Why are you sitting in my handicapped chair?!?!?" "HER" handicapped chair? The chair wasn't marked as such and there was no indication that it was a handicapped chair. I said, "Well I didn't know it was a handicapped chair, how could I?" I took another seat that others cleared for me, and I was told by others sitting there that she was actually being nice that day, and she was usually more hostile than that. I calmed down a bit and then tapped Sandra on the shoulder and told her clearly while looking her in the eye that I did not appreciate being talked to like that and there was no reason to address anyone with that kind of hostility. She said dismissively, "Ya, ya, ya... it's a handicapped chair, what did you expect me to do?" I said, "Be polite." The other staff were trying to get the crowd handled and doing a decent job of it, but Sandra is a black cloud in the room the entire time, and nobody should have to put up with that kind of rudeness ever. I bought an 1/8th of Space Queen which turned out to be pretty friggin' good, but I sincerely hope I can find it elsewhere. I do not want to go back there. They offer free services to patients, and I was considering volunteering there to do bodywork, but if they allow someone like her to linger there I can only assume they have a punishment-based mentality about everything. Nobody is undeserving of compassion, and she may have her delights, but this is a medical dispensary, not a trendy club, and nobody should ever have to endure the kind of punishment and threat energy she apparently delivers with regularity according to others who were repeat patients. Why don't the owners of that place deal with her? I can only surmise they don't care or they think it's appropriate to have someone like her there, and I will not be going back there as a result. I'm worth more than the staff there made me feel like I was worth.Update: Sandra seems to have been gone for some time now. The medication room is standing only now and the line moves briskly. Generally good service from budtenders, but yesterday I had a very young guy who was obviously stoned and way more concerned with saying hello to his friends who were milling about than helping me. i had to repeat things over and over and he acted as though I was annoying him when he clearly had more important matters to consider. (sigh) .... youth. He talked to me like people his age invented cannabis and I didn't know what I was talking about... HA! Oh to be young again... raised a star for no Sandra ... good edibles ... and faster service.
I go here for the prices.. there are a couple of cool people that work there, but I don't appreciate their lack of communication and personal business skills. I go into the express line and some people let me look at a couple bags to pick the one I want (which I do so in like 5 seconds or less) so it isn't like I hold up the line, but I ALWAYS check because I have had people here give me some crappy ass 8ths compared to others in the drawer. Some people working there get super 'tudey with me and roll their eyes and tell me they won;t show me any more 8ths, if I want it I want it if I don't I don't. Excuse me princess? You got the wrong one. Sometimes I go into the regular line if I know I want to look a bit more, so don't give me attitude. I also don't like that sometimes I've been told, "Oh it's the last one, we won't be getting any more in for a while..." SO I grab it... then go back the next day and it's fully stocked with that strain. REALLY? Then I'll even ask about it and get excuses like, "Oh maybe that was the last of that bag and we got more from the back..." Well that is not what I was told, and still... if this has happened more than once then either I am being lied to repeatedly, or the folks are just rude morons. I will let them figure that out. Like I said, prices are great, but stuff can be dry... like the attitudes from some individuals. I dig the point program, but you guys should ask people if they brought their card. Not that I forget, but it's proper customer service. GET IT TOGETHER! BUT KEEP THE PRICES! HAHAHA
So this place is pretty cool, when you walk in they actually have 3 or 4 budtenders taking care of people at a time which is nice. Theyre pretty quick about keeping the line moving and yet your not rushed when it comes your turn. The staff was very nice but not really to knowledgable about different ratios of cbd to thc, residual solvent testing, and what chemicles actually are in theyre pre filled cartridges. Theyre wax prices are something I would never consider to purchase accept for the red ball organic oil thats worth the money in my opinion. Theyre hash oils are very nice and very affordable, animal cookie oil is top notch 72% for only 15 a gram. Theyre bud selection is pretty good I just feel like the bud they sell isnt any better from something someone buys from there neighbor that grew it. They do have a lot of budget buds tho which is nice. Theyre bubble hash is really my favorite part of the club, I love good bubble but rarely can find any at a decent price. Thats why I love this place they usually have good bubble for 10 to 15 a gram. My personal favorite is the sour diesel bubble it has an amazing sweet chemicaly aroma thats smells almost as potent as flower maybe more. Its also super creamy and maluable like a black play dough. The taste is almost exactly as it smells. So overall 3 out 5 because you have selections of bud, edibles, and bubble for a budget buyer, you budtenders are very nice, and you are a quick clean establishment. That being said your budtenders are not very educated, your wax prices have yet to catch up with clubs like cookie co, and the overall quality of bud is not very great. But your obviously trying to improve your place so I think theres hope for your collective especially because your staff seems like they genuinely want to help.
So I went in because my vaporizer I bought was faulty and they helped me out right away. I also got some great smelling and tasting sungrown and the staff was very polite and friendly. The new doorman is a very nice guy and much better than the lady that is usually there which seems rather withdrawn. Theres a mixed guy that works their counter sometimes and is very rude but overall this is a fast paced high volume location but rather disorganized while simultaneously very clean and responsive. I think they employ some rather generally dysfunctional people and help out otherwise unemployable people with no hopes or dreams which is great and I can't really complain after all this is not Sonoma County, SF, nor Harborside and is the best dispensary in the Berkeley/Richmond area.
Love this place. I've gotten delivery twice and both times have been excellent. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the high quality of their products is obvious. I can't wait to place my next order. Great experience.
Convenient, large selection & friendly staff, but the quality/potency of the top shelf flower here has declined considerably since 2014.
wow. a third negative review. i go here 3 times a week so i have positive experiences except yesterday may 4th another horrible one......A few weeks ago I went in and had a problem with a staff member. he wears glasses and is of asian descent. Very condescending and denies anything you say despite i (used to now) come to this club 3 times a week. hes replaced my wax with a full melt in the bag before, and just yesterday he couldnt even figure out the math on a dollar and was trying overcharge me. His attitude about it was unbelievable. Ive been coming to this club longer than 80 percent of the staff, 95% of them budtenders. its sad because they have THE BEST romulan cut they have some of the BEST oils for the prices. they have fair edible prices they have the widest selection of 8th prices. but i cant deal with shotty customer service. theres no way im the only person this guy treats like this. id rather drive out to san jose to get 20 dollar oils and spend extra gas at least the budtenders are rude enough to just not talk at all. seriously. if you see the guy i described. wait for the next budtender
Bud tender was great, i didnt feel rushed or pressured to hurry up and get out. he even returned something that i already purchased because you know how picky we can be about our medicine. overall i was impressed at the service and the quality of the meds. will be coming back
I wish I could give them zero stars. My first visit, a LONG time ago, I specifically asked for a Sativa strain, I spent over $50 on an 1/8, went to the lounge, smoked it and realized I ended up with an indica strain. I was NOT happy. I came back after that happened to give this place another shot. I really enjoyed that you can medicate in the lounge. However an unfriendly staff, unknowledgeable budtenders, and some CREEPY CREEPERSONS that hang out there definitely turned me off to this place for good.
This place is terrible!!!!! They won't take a doctors prescription they only take recommendations. What does that even mean? I have a real prescription from my doctor for medical problems and they said oh sorry you need a recommendation. My doctors prescription has worked at all the cannabis clubs in San Francisco. Then the security guard says Berkeley has different rules. So Berkeley doesn't except legitimate medical marijuana prescriptions from practicing MD's in California. This place makes no sense!!!!
I don't really go to the dispensaries in Berkeley. But I decided to go and check them out last weekend. I used to come here a few years back after playing card down the street. It was a nice quiet place to relax for a short period. So like I was saying, I road my bike down there and locked my bike up. I met a security (some dirty looking white guy mid 20's). He checked my paperwork and everything was fine. I then checked it at the front desk and proceed to walk in the back. I met another security guard (a heavier African-American guy) He told me to sit on the bench and wait my turn. Later he began to cram so many people on the bench that all the people including me elbow to elbow. He then told me to move down a little. Calling me by then name on my shirt. He came of very rude and does not do well talking to people. He needs to remember that the people that come in there are patients and he should treat people with a higher level of respect. I actually saw this guy check in 3 younger guys and tell them " you guys can wait, your young" then let someone come in that he seemed to know basis. I met the bud tender, ( a young Caucasian guy, clean cut, probably the nicest person I met there that day) he was very knowledgeable about the products he sold.I did what I came there to do and started to go outside I walked to my bike and pulled out my phone OUTSIDE. He came up to me and gave me this crazy stare and told me this exactly "don't ever come out here and open your phone" I did not know what to do. Part of me wanted to punch this guy in the face and the other part wanted to talk to his manager. I decided to leave as I am not one to start trouble so I left. What a terrible experience they should be nicer to patients that spent 65 dollars for 3.5 grams of weed. when you could grow that shit very easily. I have never complained a lot a business before so It takes a lot for me to do this. I will never go here again no wonder there lease is up in a few months good riddens.
While I am grateful for BPG's existence and wish them well, I must report that other dispensaries offer better medicine at better prices. The saddest thing is their failure to offer a Veteran's Discount. I know some of the employees agree. Hopefully, they'll get the message
This club isnt as great as people make it seem to be..The weed here is decent, but nothing great. You can get some generic strain everyone got (blue dream, trainwreck, etc, etc) and pay $50 an eigth with tax...They have a whole assortment of different bammer weed ranging from $15-$40 an eigth...Never found anything even worth trying...or you can get some "topshelf" for $68 an eigth plus tax.. yeah the weed is good..but its not any "all star" and its not worth almost $70 for a damn eigth...The lines can be rediculous so make sure you either planned to stay for a while, or go at the right time..All the security is rude.. Some of the budtenders couldnt tell you the difference between indica and sativa lol...The front desk can be rude sometimes too.. Everyone is kinda grungry, dirty, tatted, guaged ears.. I dont know just doesn't seem very professional...doesnt feel very clean and doesnt feel like staff wants to be there..(I HAVE HAD KNOWLEDGEABLE NICCE BUDTENDERS THOUGH)Parking really sucks..Playing slide down the bench makes me feel like a knokk...Major lowball to vendors..However, aside from their poor weed selection, they have an awesome edible selection (but more expensive that other clubs that have the same brand edibles) Great hash/kief/extract selection (GREAT QUALITY, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED)and it appear you can rent vaporizers/bongs and sit and smoke there.. pretty cool for people that want to do that..basically this club is nothing special. its decent, its not horrible.. but I wouldnt go out of the way to go here..3 stars for effort, but still much to improve..
The best in the business by far , from top to bottom total professionals, i've seen a lot of places without buying total waste of time.
We live in FAR East Contra Costa County and these people still delivered to us!! Driver was great...very patient and very discrete. Plus, the product is nice too!
This is my all-time favorite place to buy my medication under CA's Prop 215. As a patient with horrible, chronic pain caused from degenerating discs in my cervical vertebrae (that be the neck!!) and bone spurs, I also suffer from peripheral neuropathy, which is caused from impinged nerves. It's a horrible condition, caused from muscle spasms, slipped discs, all that fun stuff, and no modern medical facility or doctor was helping. They only were aiding in helping me become strung out and addicted to pain meds and muscle relaxers.Thank god I found medical cannabis. And soon I found Berkeley Patients Group, which rapidly became my "home group," if you will. Heh. I love how it is reliable, and I know that they carry the brand I want, and they stock it so I know that I can count on going there to get it, unlike most places over in Frisco, where most little shops fluctuate and carry different things week to week or month to month, or once they sell out, then that's it.I do not smoke, I do not enjoy smoking, so I am an edibles-fan. I follow my doctor's instructions, and within a month of doing that, my muscle spasms have stopped, my nerves have been released, and sensation has returned to my left arm and hand and fingers, and that awful horrible nerve and muscle pain subsided over time. That's because cannabis is nature's true medicine! Most shops when you call will not tell you over the phone if they carry a certain brand or product, so if you are like me, on Disability, and don't have a car, it really sucks to have to travel all over hunting down a reliable brand. I stick to what I know works. And I hate when shops change their stock all the time. But Berkeley Patients Group is not like that. I know that when I get there, they will have what I want, the brand, exactly. And I am talking about edibles, which are hard to know what you're getting if you don't know the maker of the product or the brand. That is why it is so important to find a place that will consistently stock something you know works for you. And I have found it!I have moved out of the Berkeley and Oakland areas since I started going here, but I still will travel all the way to Berkeley just to come to this store. I love the selection and the variety of products. They offer so many different ways of getting your medication. From beverages to butter to edibles to big, stinky beautiful buds, to hash, to clones so you can grow it at home as permitted by law, to balms and creams, etc. They also offer glassware, books, products like hemp soap, shampoo, and moisturizers. I LOVE IT. L-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-love it!One of the best aspects of this place also is their approach to healing the body. They offer acupuncture, special massages (like it may be Reiki every once in a while), personal body work, and groups. Groups may be things like expressive arts, talk therapy groups, discussion groups, listening to a speaker, or even music. The bodywork and acupuncture has a long waiting list usually, so that is inconvenient for people like me, but it's better than not getting it offered at all, and it's even better because it's free! And it's included in the membership! Also included in the membership is a discount card, which accumulates points based on how much you spend. So you get discounts all the time, and it's just great all around. They offer free munchies and free hot tea you can make yourself while you sit and chill in the social medication room. Man, it doesn't get much better than this. The staff knows their stuff. They recommend such good selections to try... and when I do buy the buds for smoking (they also sell packages made for baking! And for those on a budget they also sell shake and a low-cost smoker's blend) I love their 5-star rating system. It is very important that I get the right strain to treat my condition, which my doctor has written out and prescribed for me, and the staff knows exactly which strains have the genetics to help my condition or follow my doctor's recommendations. I always get a great treat, and when I share my medication with other patients, they ALWAYS compliment the quality. And the staff always shows you multiple pre-weighed and bagged and labeled medicine so you can select which one YOU want to buy, or which one looks like it's calling your name. They also allow you to touch and smell a special customer's box, which they don't sell out of due to the touching and smelling from the other customers, naturally.Anyway, this is my fave Cannabis Club in the entire Bay Area right now, and it has been for years.
I just wanted to give recognition to an employee who gave me outstanding service. His name is Laes, it was a busy day with long lines and I wasn't in the greatest of moods, but my budtender who happened to be Laes was very polite and kind, as well as informative. I was curious about trying some new kinds of concentrates, he walked me through each one and made sure I left with the best. My experiences at BPG have always been positive, but this particular visit stood out to me thanks to him.
Guantanamo Berkeley? Please. I am sure I don't have all the info on their situation. But all that barb wire, unsmiling guard at the door, your papers please, check, smiling cute girl at desk, your papers please, check, keep walking and guess what, fat bearded ugly guy security check, your papers please, check. Take a seat and wait. and wait. OK 65 for and eighth is redonkulous. If they didn't advertise themselves as being so righteous i wouldn't mind. Being the only game in town i guess makes them feel a little smug. Now I know why i run into so many folks from the east bay at the green door and the Vapor room.
LOVE IT HERE. A very secure, friendly and safe place to buy my meds. Great selection of top shelf, but let me tell you about their lower priced deals. Who can beat a $25 8th of decent goodness though? They have lower priced 8th's that go down to $10-- but who the hell wants mexicali leaves? Not I!
I'm sure theirs clubs out there with better weed for slightly better prices. but i love this club. when the lines aren't to long it doesn't take long at all and they have stuff in every price range thats usually worth it for the price if not better. most of the staff are cool to so yes to bpg
To be honest, BPG is damn near perfect except for their bud quality.A lot of their "All Star" strains are fersure not heavy hitters. I bought a 10$ gram of Purple from another club in Oakland that hit harder than their 16$ gram grandaddy purple.A lot of their bud is outdoor and not very strong, although occasionally you will get a huge heavy hitter. I come here because of the awesome environment/smoking lounge and their huge menu and edibles. Feels like a YMCA for weed, it is always super cracking in there with tons of people. However, if I went to get ripped on a weekend night, I would have to go and get bud from the city or a place in Oakland. Occasionally carries the heavy hitters but most of their bud is not that strong, but their prices, huge selection, smoking lounge make up for it in my opinion. They got the best edibles/selection in the Bay however. If you want heavy hitting Hash or potent frosty flowers, this is not the place unfortunately, well sometimes it is.-Mike.
Door man was kind and helpful. Front desk receptionist not so much (infact its what keeps me from giving this place 5 stars, she was rather rude to say the least)Everyone else was fantastic and kind/helpfulPros: can medicate on site and spend two hours doing so. There are volcano vaporizers set up for everyone to use in the sampling/medicating area. There is a small but decent selection of clones (all appeared to be good size and healthy green leaves) ranging from the likes of OG kush, Purple kush, Grand Daddy Purple, Skunk, etc. It always changes as does the actual medication. They have dried flowers (buds), extracts, edibles, pre rolls as well as other various items. They have price ranges to fit everyone's budget from $5 a gram all the way up to $20 a gram. Good range of meds. at least 3-4 dozen different varieties on hand. all the dried flowers appeared to be of good quality. no moldy/rotten meds that i seen. They do have an express line. Wait was only about 3-4 minutes for me in the middle of a busy day. They also have vaporizers and smoking devices for sale as well. Its pretty much a one stop shop as i didnt notice anything they don't have that the average joe would want. The place was clean, I felt safe, wide range of people who appeared to be normal upstanding citizens. Not a shady place in the least. Lots of cameras for added comfort and security. Almost everyone in the building was all smiles from staff to patients. As you walk in the door you're greeted with a wonder marijuana scent.I WILL return to this place for years to come. Its well worth the wait. You have to pay attention when you drive down the street or you'll miss the turn as there are not huge signs indicating what the place is. its easier to find by looking for the address (2747) as its written in big letters on the gate. only other complaint is meds are given in a plastic bag which can smell and not be good if you intend to drive home with your purchase so my advice is to bring a jar or bottle to put your meds in after purchasing. Its nice that they come in a bag with a sticker that says how much it is (in grams) and what strain it is. Overall 4.5/5.0 my only suggestion is to get rid of asian/filipino lady running the front desk and provide smell proof bags.
Hands down, the greatest place to get medicine in the entire bay area.. This is the only dispensary that I regularly come to and for good reason. The weed is good, the atmosphere is safe and relaxing, and they have the dankest coffee I've ever tasted. The medicine is good, their top shelf strains are out of this world but are a little pricey. they have eighths starting at 10 dollars as well!!! The 10 dollar eighths are better some days and shitty other days but hey I can't really argue that price!! The people working there are awesome; the security, the receptionists and most of the budtenders are all wonderful. I would like it if they educated their bud tenders on their medicine more though... They have a great selection of concentrates and edibles and their menu changes what seems like daily. Great fucking job guys we need more like this!!
I just started using their new delivery service and I love it! It's so easy and convient! You just go online and look at their menu and select what you want, place your order and within a short time you get a phone call scheduling a delivery time! My delivery came early and the product was identical to what you usually get at the dispensary! All of the bpg staff was super nice and helpful as usual. I really hope they ghetto open again at a different location, but I am definitely pleased with this service until then! thank you bpg!
Overpriced buds and rude staff! this place is all about corporate and not about compassion. Their top shelf is waaaay overpriced at 65+tax AND I highly believe that they shake their buds to sell the keif. Notice how none of their buds are frosty--unlike places in Sacrameto and San Francisco. I say stay away from this place--the staff has to wear silly t-shirts anyways. suckas!
My boyfriend went here and they were way over priced for the weed they had. They didn't have a decent variety to choose from. They only sell grams , 8ths & ounces. They gave him a free gift but it seemed like he payed for the gift too. He said he wouldn't be back anytime soon. The ONLY good thing about this place is they stay open untill 9pm.
BPG is an extremely respectable Prop 215 establishment offering full access to all sorts of holistic approaches to therapy. That's one of the things that touched me about the place. The staff in there aren't just regular "employees" working for a check; quite the opposite. I've seen repeatedly these staff go out of their way to assist patients with whatever they need. They are all kind, curteous, and professional. This is one of those places; drop by and check out what I'm talkin about. Not only that, they have the BEST array of cannabis options for any budget. I've noticed that the staff are great at recommending strains to customers, and have thier collective shit together when it comes to explaining WHY some strains have certain effects, and are pretty skilled at narrowing down the search for people who are unfamiliar with the shop's capacious inventory. I've been to shops where you got a sales clerk who figures everyone just wants the "stoniest" or whatever, not ever recommended based on what the customer wants and how it relates to their own experiences with the strain. To me, BPG is so good, that it would have to be like the last place the DEA could substantiate enforcing federal scheduling law over. Starting to love the fences around here. . . There's no way they couldn't see the forest for the trees, so to speak ;-). And I suppose it would serve as an example of that kind of "civilized marijuana slangin'" to those rabid DEA guys!I've seen other shops, tried a wide variety of strains, and I kept coming back here because I think these people are doing medical marijuana like it should be done. Obama's new stimulus package should hopefelly include some avenues to get medical marijuana some more visibility within medical communities further out than California. The West is the Best; but we definitely need to give our knowledge of what is good about, or what HAS worked for people, to be useful to a lot of other people who just don't have geography on their sides, for fuck's sake. It'll be interesting to see if they're gonna push up there in the ivory towers; but I think if it would have been done, it would have been done durin' the Bush administration, so thank god Fuck Face is out of office. My prediction: There's gotta be good karma keeping things running nice n' smooth......Reefer Madness!
Good times! I started coming to Berkeley Patients Group 4 years ago, back when they were still remodelling and you could bring a friend inside to hang out in the lounge. They have really done a great job with upkeeping the property, being very professional, and making it a safe place to go. I took a year long sabbatical and it was nice to see some old faces when I came back, not many, but they're still there. The staff is friendly and informative. There is an excellent selection of medication available - inlcuding edibles - and the prices aren't as bad as other places I've been to. They've just recently upgraded the white board to a projector so they can easily track inventory. The lounge now has volcanos available at the tables, instead of behind the accessory counter where you'd have to stand there and intake as much as you could before falling over so that the next person in line could have their turn. They have an awesome community base with events every month. Not to mention the healing artists that provide massage and other healing modalities. Timing is everything and most Fridays are super busy. I'm fortunate enough to have many of my days available so I can make the trek from Fremont without much hassle. What can I say, I'm quite the loyal patron!Cool things - 1. The lounge. Meet up with friends or make new ones. They always have fresh fruits and/or cookies to munch on, teas and water too! Take the time to check out the quilt that was made with love by some of the more crafty members. 2. Rewards card. You get what I like to call 'christmas' points that acumulate and allow you to get a free eighth or money towards your next purchase if you can't wait for the credits to build up. Personally, I like to save them until I can get a $60 eighth. Also, buy 4 eighths and recieve 10% off your total. 3. They often carry organic strains, which is always a + in my book. The Downer - 1. You have to have a valid doctor's perscritpion and membership card to enter. This isn't so bad, as they run a professional and tight ship and who needs to deal with shenanigans when coming here? So get a card and check it out! 2. Clones!?! They used to have a very lovely selection of beautiful plants to take home, sadly no more. This leads me to ... 3. Seeds! WTF!?! I just cannot bring myself to pay the crazy amount they charge for their seeds. It's not worth it unless you are a green thumb - not aspiring or I do this for a hobby, either. Is it just me or are they just insanely over priced?I'm very thankful for the wonderful community they have created and the good times that I've had there - and when I've gotten home!
I used to love this place, and so sad to hear they had to close at the old location. I also am not in the habit of writing bad reviews on yelp, but my experience with their delivery service was so frustrating that I feel the need...I decided to try BPG's delivery service, and ordered about $100 worth of bud about 48 hours in advance. I knew I had to leave my house at 1:30pm, so I asked for a 12pm drop off. They said it would be between noon and 1pm - ok I understand that. I was at my house the entire time, and no phone call, no door knock. I called a little before 1pm to inquire about the status of my delivery. The person I was speaking to told me that they didn't have the correct phone number, and that the delivery person had knocked on my door to no answer. Ok, neither of those things could be true, because BPG had called me on my cell phone the day before to confirm the order, and because I was anxiously awaiting the delivery and paying attention to the door. So, not only did I have to cancel the delivery, I was extremely frustrated because I felt I had been lied to. If they had just told me, "hey the guy's running a bit behind, it'll take a little longer," that would have been fine.Bottom line, don't lie to people! I really don't want to have these bad experiences and feelings getting in the way of medicating, which is supposed to be providing me stress relief anyway!
No freebie on 1st visit, clean location, freindly knowledgeable staff, no Great price range, probably the best.
I have checked out the majority of the well-reviewed clubs on Yelp on both sides of the bay over the last few months and can be unequivocal when I say that BPG is by far the most professional and legitimate club in the Bay Area... Not to mention the club with the best medicine. They have a fully stocked lounge with volcanos, glass of all sizes, and rolling papers all free for patient use, as well as killer coffee and snacks on a daily basis. Their clones are fantastic and their medicine is by far the most consistently dank of any club I've visited. Another nice feature being that a number of strains are in-house on a regular basis (not like this a lot of places) so once you find something that works for you, you can stick with it.Quality medicine, professional atmosphere, the best club in the Bay.
It's an okay place for clones, some of the strains of bud is horrible and over priced. I recently been to this place a few times first time as a new member they gave me a little piece of chocolate mint thingy's and a lighter which I lost a few days later lol. But my first purchase was some romulan which was pricy but wasn't an problem and I also got the mega mix which was a pretty descent price not bad. They tried to keep showing me this old outdoor nasty looking which made want to run out there. My second visit I got some clones everything was good like all except one that's struggling. Third visit I grabbed some ol Betsy which was a good strain of medicine but wasn't my type. The reason for my 3 stars is because of the bad bud selection, over priced, and top shelf was not special and way over priced. But the one really good thing is how late the say open what always lead me into going there. But still an okay place professional place nice environment. I would be back if all the other clubs is closed. Hope they get better.
This is the best dispensary in Berkeley!!! The staff is always really friendly and welcoming. Today I went in with my grandma and we had a blast. We were greeted with kindness and respect, and a little bit of silly, then invited to check out their products (you can even smell things XD). Their array of prices gives you a lot of options. Asking for advice and personal reviews about their products is not intimidating at all! The beautiful young woman who helped us today was extremely helpful and patient and didn't rush us in choosing our medication. When I asked questions about the medication, she happily answered with a lovely bubbly attitude. If you're looking for a regular place that is friendly, warm and professional to get your medication, I suggest BPG all the way. You will not be dissapointed! :)
I have nothing bad to say about them they had the best All star gsc it was actually worth the oz ever lasted not harsh
Greatest club I've been to yet. I was on vacation up North and found this place about a mile from where I was staying. They have a clean facility, in which you can relax and light up in. As I was waiting in line one of workers lit up a J and passed it through the line. You have to check this spot out if you are in the area.
Not a bad place been coming here for a bit now the high end buds not wut they should b alot of da bud they got for 20 to 40 is better most of da time the all star trust me not worth it save your money still one of the best cans n da east bay by the way There staff doesn't all ways no wut their talking about seems like most of the time just trying to say wut ever just to get u in n out over all still not bad
One the best clubs this side of the bay. They have the best varieties for growing, smoking, or eating. They have a nice facility the workers are nice and friendly. If your in Berkeley and a club member this club is a can't miss you won't be disappointed.
Probably my favorite club in Berkeley aside from 40 acres.. they have a great selection and the atmosphere is chill as long as you're not afraid of white dudes with dreads (if you are drive out of Berkeley as fast as you can). They have some really good deals on concentrates, i got a gram of BHO for $20 the other day which i was pretty psyched about. I'd definitely recommend a visit
The place is okay if you can get by the brown-shirted parking lot attendants/stormtroopers. They look and act like a bunch of cop-wannabees. A really big turn-off. I'm getting my stuff elsewhere.
i just feel that since they moved from their previous location that they hiked up all the prices. this is unfortunate because patients like myself, am used to quality grade medicine but now, i cant afford to get what i typically get anymore, i can barley afford medicine there . i loved this place before they moved .
Wasted my last 33 dollars at this place. I asked them why they don't label percentages and they told me that they don't believe in percentages. Well maybe thats why the "all-star(crap)" weed i got sucked. I will always make the trip to Harborside to make sure I get high and am properly medicated.
i have been going to BPG since they were in the old place across the street so today's visit was a complete shock and i am seriously considering going harborside even though it is farther away from home. i have a tibetan mastiff mobility service dog who usually stays in the car when i go inside. the place is small and sometimes crowded and he does not need the hassle. the security guys know him and since i park in one of the handicap spots, talk to him while he waits for me. today, i wanted to use the restroom and i brought him out of the car after i shopped to assist me. the restroom was unavailable, so we walked around the back of the parking lot to get to my car. as we approached my car, i was stopped by a manager and told that i am not allowed to walk my dog on the property. unbelievable!! i have been in line behind a person who brought his elderly PET in the dispensary with oozing tumors on its leg, which was fine with everyone, but my MOBILITY SERVICE DOG is not allowed to be walking on the property?!?! Way to go BPG!! one star for the fantastic security guys and one star for the express line staff. zero for management!
under federal grand jury investigation. no owners on incorporated papers. real owner debbie gooseberry .. aka mrs.don duncan ceo americans for safe access...
My second visit here. Best disp I have ever seen-- efficiently run and well-staffed, they have an in-house smoking lounge and a huge variety of products. Imelda assisted me in the back room shop and provided great information. Go w/ All Star OG Kush or Blue Dream. S/I blends that can't be beat.
their house-rolled joints are kinda small. kinda really small. still like the place: they have a few tables and a counter for relaxing, and they give out free coffee. it's a friendly gesture that i totally liked.
A great spot to really reap the benefits of having a Dr recommendation and/or state id card. They have scheduled massages, acupuncture, and personal counseling. And its all for non profit!!!!They also have a lounge with 5-8 tables with volcanos hooked up ready to go for the patients, you can medicate inside this facility. Along side of that is a cafe where you can order drinks or food, and along side that is a small case with pipes/bubblers/bongs/vaporizers/slides etc. ALL for super cheap. After talking to the employee when i bought my vaporbox vaporizer ($150 for the deluxe version usually sells for $200 on line and at other smoke shops) they deal with a local Berkeley glass blowing school. So not only are they helping out a local school but they are passing along the savings to the patients. Thick bongs that go for $50 with ice pinchers and around 10'' high. The slides are great quality and almost bought a couple until i was swayed to go with my vaporbox purchase. In the main room you an see another room where you again must show your state id card or recommendation and this is where the magic happens.Great selection of 20 + strains and concentrates, and has something to offer all budgets. With as low as $10 "smoking blend" 8ths to 60$ an 8th of ALL STAR (strain name here). Always covered in crystals, and never seen any seeds in my nugs from here. All 10 times that i have gone, i have been shown 4 or more bags to choose from. Even tho i dislike clubs that have preweighed sacks BPG is always fresh and never have taking home dry meds. I have tried out some low grade hash for $20 a gram, a that was even a great purchase. They also have a great selection of Butter Brothers edibles, (not a fan of butter brothers but still a great selection for everyone else).BPG which may not look as pretty as Harborside heath center, but all the amenities are still there. Just with that Berkeley personality.Environment - A+ Great workers always happy, and always eager to help Bud tenders are helpful and don't rush you when you are indecisive. Menu - A Many great finds even when not going for top grade $60 an 8th. Diverse menu that allows anyone with any income to get some medsLocation - A Right off of San Pablo Ave (long street going from Rodeo all the way to Berkeley) they have their own security guarded parking lot which is bigger than it looks. Always a spot in there for incoming patients.Medicine - B+ Great meds but with 60$ an 8th =( Grass Roots for $55 has better meds and for $5 less, but GR isn't a non profit so I dont mind spending that extra to help out the medical marijuana movement. Great concentrates and good selection of edibles. I am just not a fan of Butter Brothers products.Great spot for locals to go to, great location and great attitude. This is a model for all other clubs to follow as a non profit organization. They do have a frequent buys card, which i always by accident zone out when they tell me about it, i have like $50 on my card. Buts its like spend 10$ there and get a $1 on your card. So you sorta get some rewards? ahaha. Since i only go to bpg after work which is after their hrs they offer their extra amenities (massages etc) I dont really utilize BPG for all that it is worth. IF YOU LIVE IN THE BERKELEY/RICHMOND area, This is a must stop if you need to get med's, glassware, or chill out zone with people. You can medicate side by side with an aids patient (open lounge for smoking) and talk about what its like to live with aids and just educate yourself on the diverse people that use medical marijuana.Keep it up and help support BPG
This place takes way to long to go to and get out of. The nug quaility isn't good for the 60 plus tax it costs. They do have very good butane and cold water extracts if you can spend like 55 a gram. If your looking for nubs then try the Pcc on telegraph by Parker. I don't understand how it can take soo long to get in and out of a club even if it is not crowded. Nice facility and good extracts but not worth all the time to go here. Over rated and much better choices out there.
While all the other dispensaries are lowering their prices, BPG is raising theirs. They've also diminished the value of their rewards program. On more than one occasion, my accumulated value just disappeared This place used to be a little alienating. Now it's VERY alienating. I used to be a regular there, despite seeing multiple security excesses and being the subject of one myself. Staff is rude. Menu board has so many bells and whistles that you can't find the prices of the buds. I've overpaid many times and bought "hi-grade" indica at $55 or $60/eights that was virtually ineffective. They've lost me. Now I go there to buy papers, because they DO have better prices than most on that. Otherwise, don't bother. That's my balanced review. I suspect that the positive reviews here are plants.
cool to be able to get hooked up but hanging with all recovierng heavy drug users whom now resort to 420 and coffee, people coughing their lungs out and the guards act hard for no reason and make me feel uncomfortable with their tudes and its because of the guards i now shop else where! i like easy breese shopping and its my money., prices are east coast rip offs, should be like forty tops. not sixty five. just a hassel, there are also bums there whom clean out ash trays and dump it into their pockets ewww. plenty of better no bull places to go!
this place is all about the benjamins. highly overpriced. my friend and i purchased 70 clones at $12 each + tax.. the tray of 50 had 3 missing in the middle. told them about it a few days later and showed my receipt. "nothing we can do" came out of the dudes mouth so fast you knew he was very well trained to tell you to f off. you can have this place. its just a money mill. $65 for frozen, pre bagged 1/8's + tax! the best clubs are in frisco!
wow, this place stressed me out. nice selection of concentrates, average urban pricing.
the one star is for your kind and caring staff members and the decent weed you guys have, the rest is all McDispensary owned and operated. if you want a cattle call, the owners are ringing the bell. once i heard you guys were seeking corporate pharmaceutic investors like bayer, you robbed the compassion out of your business in my opinion. hopefully your previous shut down cut you back down to your roots, because i remember when you were adult use on ashby. what would Jim think of you guys now? patients are not just demographics, your employees are not expendable, remember you are activists first until prohibition ends and innocent people are out of jail. If it wasnt for the people who run this place, it would easily get 5 stars. hopefully your new facility will provide a better example to the cannabis community.
It's an east bay dispensary. I come here to buy low quantities of top shelf. I use a delivery service for weight (They have sf prices in the east bay!). I'm actually right in between here and HHC, but since you can medicate on site and they have volcanoes I usually end up here. Besides the Bhang Chocolate bars, by far the best edible I've ever had bar none, I stick with their all-star selection. I've got zips of "blunt weed" at home. Not to mention everything there that isn't TS looks somewhat blah. While I can just say looks because I've never tried any, I would advise doing so at your own risk. It's not that some of their high grade looks bad, it looks bad because it's still 50+ an 1/8 and I can get similar quality for 200-250 a zip elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 5-10 bucks for the All-Star. Every now and then even HHC's TS will be a dud, I've never been displeased with any TS from here.As for comments about the staff, I've never had a problem. In fact, I've never had a problem at ANY dispensary I've been too. Sure some are a little more seedy than others, but I'm starting to think some people in general just have unrealistic customer service expectations. That or they just didn't like the place in general. Which is cool, but don't put it unduly on the staff.
I came in two days ago to buy some bud and edibles and had a great experience. Major thanks to my man Brian (or was it Ryan??) who helped me get the most bang for my buck. Best experience I've had at a dispensary and I don't go anywhere else when I'm in the bay area.
This place is awesome. Very cool inside, place to hang out, friendly staff, never pushing you out the door. Would be nice if tax was included in price. Come back BPG! At least they are doing delivery now.
Thank you for the superior alternative health services! Members -this is a commendable benefit which I greatly enjoy and you should too! From Pilates to Acupuncture! The BEST place to take care of your body from the inside out.
We came here after a recommendation from a local. The process to get in is easy and the security guard was nice and approachable. Once you get inside you can go to the left to pick up ordered items or to the right to review the offerings on an iPad. They have many different categories including Pre-Rolled Joints, Concentrate, Edibles, Flower or Vaporizer. There was several employees behind the counters to advise you on what you might be looking for, answer your questions and give educated recommendations. I was very impressed about the level of service and education about the product. The entire experience could not have been more pleasant! If you are an expert or newbie looking to learn more you will be in great hands at Berkley Patients Group!
They suck. I got an advertisement the day a sale started and I drove 45 minutes to get there to get attitude about them not having ANY of the items on the sale. They claim that the online sale started to day before... and has ran out. I will never got there and would recommend you don't either especially if you have a med recommendation. BIG FAIL!
I had a very terrible experience here and ended up calling 911 after taking something they sold me! Beware if you're a cannabis novice like I am. I went asking for something to help me go back to sleep in the middle of the night. The person behind the counter handed me chocolate edibles. I said I don't trust edibles and I don't want to eat chocolate in the middle of the night. I told him I'd had 1:1 drops that had worked well and cbd capsules. So he pulls out 10:1 drops and 25mg thc. I have no experience with thc so I didn't know what this meant. Now that I know, it was totally irresponsible of this person (Patrick) to sell this to me given my very limited knowledge of thc. He didn't ask questions that he should have, such as whether I've taken thc before! Needless to say, this "sleep aid" kept me up all night and I thought I was going to die. Two paramedics and four firefighters arrived to take care of me because I couldn't breathe and was fading in and out of consciousness. It was the worst night of my life. My son went in today to talk to Patrick who was totally defensive and yelled at him in the store. No accountability at all. No sorry about your mom. No courteous "customer is always right" mentality. IMO, this guy should NOT be allowed to help people because who in their right mind sells a 62 year old woman asking for help falling back to sleep soft gels with 25 mg of thc in them? This guy should be fired! I will never go back to this place and neither will my son or his friends, and we will tell everyone we know not to go as well.
I've shopped here for years, before they switched locations; over time I've come to prefer CBCB but thought I'd check what's at BPG. I was absolutely appalled at the poor quality product that I was referred to purchase by staff. I told the staff what I wanted and they suggested this dried-out foul-tasting garbage that's unusable. I feel taken advantage of; if they'd offered a sniff I would've known it's a rip off but the clerk rushed me through the sale and now I think I know why - they seem to be trying to unload otherwise unsalable waste on people who don't know better/newbies. I'm disappointed this is the direction the business has gone in over the years and doubt I can trust them again.
I used to go to BPG exclusively, way back when they even had a delivery service. I've tried supporting them during this horrible time, but they are not meeting this challenge and it is a huge waste of time trying to do business with them. the 2nd to last time i placed an order, I was the second person in line for express pick up. The new online menu is terrible but i place my order and go to pick. 8 people behind the counter and no one says hello, or even acknowledges that there is a line. I figure it's at tough time for everybody and give them a pass that things take longer than usual go about my way. Today, I try again. I don't live in town, so I place an express order, I drive 30 minutes to get to this place and wait. and wait. and 45 minutes later, come to find that their computers are down. no communication from the staff to the many people in line. I have other appointments and had no idea this would take this long so I give up and leave. I get it, things are way more complicated than they used to be but they've completely given up on any customer service. If you have other options, use them.
The order was accurate and all but the prices are ridiculous! After nearly $30 in tax my $105 order was $134.96. The driver said that'll be $135. They charged me $138. I would've tipped cash and would've done so on my own terms. Not his! I should've went to Have A Heart like usual!
I was cheated on my $250 order.I have been using Jade tinctures for over three years purchased from another dispensery that went out of business.Placed an online order for delivery for the first time from this dispensery and I received the wrong Jade product. I called BPG to discuss the matter and was switched to the delivery department. I told him I received the wrong product. He told me BPG no longer sells the Jade product I ordered online, so BPG delivered a replacement Jade product. He then tried to make it sound like the error was Jade's fault and not BPG's.I then asked him who runs his company's website...Jade or BPG? He said BPG. I told him his company needs to correct their website.I explained I would NOT have made my purchase had the product I wanted NOT been on their website. All he said was, "Oh."I asked him what he is going to do about the problem and he responded, "I'll let someone know they need to correct our website."I then asked him how I'm supposed to use the product they delivered when it's not what I ordered and he said, "Contact Jade!"Huh???? BPG's website is outdated, I was given the WRONG product and he wants me to call Jade???? This is TERRIBLE and a complete ripoff!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In general I like them, but I'm basing this on my last visit. I order online and go to pick it up. And usually it goes great! But there's one guy there who's strange.1) I received my order in a torn bag. It didn't have a small tear, it was not usable. He should have seen that. The same thing happened the last time he retrieved my order. The whole side of the bag was split. He had to have seen that!2) So I got my order and paid for it. He pressed a button and ripped a small piece of paper off. I thought it was part of a receipt for the previous customer, whoever that was, so I was shocked when he handed it to me. He said, "Sorry, I pressed the wrong button, can you reenter your pin?" I did, but when he gave me the paper, I saw that it had my account balance! WTH?!? He pressed a button for my account balance! So was he tracking me to confirm that I had money in my account? Was I being profiled? Does he do that to everyone? I have only had two experiences with him. So because I don't know why he did that. I did have some idea (since I had some funky charges end up on my card). I now go in with cash for my purchase because I don't know who's going to get my order. The women have been fantastic, but that short, elfin looking guy needs to stay out of my way. Again, he got my account balance for my ATM!!!!!! No words!
Very bad product, still haven't herd from the company, they told me to contact, no way to get a hold, only email, u lost a loyal customer, I will never spend my money at this cannabis club total rip off ,
My go-to for when I need delivery within a few hours notice. Storefront is super easy to navigate to. Love how reliable this place is. Stu is the sweetest! I recommend sliding thru if you want to browse in-person (Theyre pretty solid on their safety measures), but I can normally get whatever I want delivered in under 3 hours. They're a California staple for me.
