Best weed store I've been into in Portland. The staff are super knowledgeable and knew exactly what I would like just after a few questions. I don't know anything about weed and they made the experience painless by taking the confusion out of what's what. Also, not being a stoner myself, I love how the atmosphere is that of a high end boutique of my native Malibu as opposed to a place filled with gas bags for employees like the other stores I've been into! I highly recommend a visit to this place.
I bought a cartridge here that was defected. Before I left to return it, I called to double check their return policy. I asked specifically if I could exchange the cartridge for a different brand and pay the price difference. The salesperson went to double check with the manager and told me the manager said it was okay. When I got there a few hours later, they said I could only exchange cartridges within the same brand only. Even when I said the manager told me otherwise, they did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. It's extremely frustrating to call ahead and getting told one thing by one manager, then the opposite from the manager in store. Even the guy helping me said "things have been crazy around here lately". Obviously there is miscommunication within your staff and you need to all be on the same page.
Bud rot/mildew on my buds. Been involved in the cultivation of cannabis for quite some time and can recognize when buds are manicured to remove the dry rot, in my case there was still clearly residue of the moldy portions. Whether they knew initially or not, they refused to take any responsibility and offer an exchange/refund. I will take my business elsewhere just wanted to make sure that consumers with health concerns and a need for medicinal marijuana, as well as recreational users, are aware of the unscrupulous ethics and behavior of this business.
This place is really small and gets really crowded sometimes. The music is loud, the customers get even louder, and the young staff is sometimes too preoccupied talking and joking with each other that they leave you standing awkwardly at the counter waiting to be acknowledged. Friendly enough, but maybe a little more professionalism and less play time would be nice.
The selection here is crazy... so many strains. Anywhere from $7 to $20 grams and everything in between. Chill people in a really nice looking shop. Very impressed and will definitely be returning often!!
Just moved to this area from NE Portland and never been to a dispensary on this side and sadly I'm a little disappointed. My boyfriend and I have come several times- I waited outside with our dogs and an employee came out and said hi to me and my dogs which was really nice and I appreciated it- i wish I knew his name but if it helps him get kudos he has a terrier wiener dog mix. He's dope. But sadly I came in by myself today and when I walked in it was pretty slow so when I didn't get any eye contact, greeting or any acknowledgement at all I was a little annoyed. I stood there and waited and was ignored for about five minutes and when I finally was helped I was asked what I wanted and that was it. Not very friendly. The only reason I tipped is because I used to work at a dispensary and I sometimes relied on my tips for bus fare to get home. I'll keep coming cause it's walking distance from my home but please amp up the customer service- it's not hard.
La mota sucks ass they make you wait outside for like 30 minutes for bunk weed. And take forever to serve each person. Looks like a bunch of people who dont know how to do their job. Lots of great dispensaries around, but this one.
Super busy all the time. But they get to you quickly. I go here and all the other la Mota's because they are always consistent with prices. The cartridges are cheaper then everyone else with every brand. But the la mota brand carts are half price of all the others.
The budtender reached into the jar of flower and without gloves grabbed the product and dropped the medicine into the bowl. We all know what this does to the buds. Next he failed to weigh out the 3.5g and only gave me 1g. When I pointed this out he corrected the issue with the wrong strain. Will never visit this store again. We are fighting a fight to keep our medicine and when we do not maintain a level of professionalism as well as consistently protect the fact this for some of us this is medical and should be treated as such then we will lose this fight. I have yet to visit a recreational cannabis shop here in Oregon and feel like I'm getting excellent service in a store front that looks like a place that wants to raise the bar and create an experience full of clean meds and smart detail oriented customer service.
If I could give them 0 starts I would. Most budtenders here lack the BASIC knowledge about the products they carry or simply just don't care.Very unprofessional employees who know NOTHING about marijuana. Also, since when are employees supposed to be rude to customers? if you can't handle long lines then maybe you should get a bigger shop and hire more bud tenders.Once the line gets to the door of the employees turn into assholes.
Yes!!! Finally a quality spot close to home. The 420 gods have answered my prayers lol... Just go and see for yourself.
I dont write reviews, but these guys just ripped me off on cartridge that don't work properly and i paid $50 for it they said it could be my battery and nothing wrong with my battery I verified with other cartridges. Wow just wow. I been going there for a while but today is my last day. Never going back. Lesson learned.
Probably my favorite spot in the Beaverton aloha area. Great prices, friendly staff, a lot of parking, fast in and out. Just go here way better than an other prices in town.

I have been reading a lot of reviews of this dispensary. They must be under new management or have new staff. The bad reviews regarding customer service I have not experienced so far. It was busy when I went there a few days ago and I was patient and was helped as soon as possible. Trevor is who helped me and he was friendly, knowledgeable and great. I went again today and a different gentleman helped me but was again great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I was not rushed to choose what I needed. I will keep going here and recommend it to others. A friend of mine buys her cartridges here and said she doesn't have a problem with them. I don't use cartridges but if I decided to this is where I would buy them.
The people here are always wonderful and helpful. They always have a great selection and work quickly. It's not the biggest store in the area but it's definitely the best shop around.
Bought 2 eighths and when I got home, one of the eighths was only actually a gram, and got charged $30 for it. Make sure to double check before you leave!!!
Love this place. The staff is so friendly, and they have everything you need. Don't get caught there on payday (Friday) though, yikes!
This used to my spot to get my cannabis and concentrates. Not anymore. After having whatever internal switch they had it's a totally different place to go. They have lost my business and anyone I know of that lives in this area as well.
With literally 20 dispensaries in the Beaverton Portland area La Mota is my number one go to. I'd say 90% of the time the customer service is awesome but I think that you need to engage the employees if you want advice or suggestions. Some people are uncomfortable going into a dispensary purchasing marijuana legally for the first time in their whole lives. So I don't blame the employees for not acting like it's Disneyland LOL. Although in a way it is :-)The prices and the quality are what relly set it apart. The cartridges are a lot cheaper and the La Mota brand is really awesome. I highly recommend this place.
This is now my favorite dispensary on the west side. after visiting many, I was constantly shocked at the high prices, leafy buds, flower that is under 20% THC for top dollar, and lack of product knowledge. Then I found La Mota, my diamond in the rough! With a huge selection, buds going from $8/g to $20/g, and awesome customer service, I knew I'd be back again and again. They have shatter for $29 a gram, that is fabulous! Seemed like only the high in CBD buds were below 20% THC, and the rest were a delicious variety of high-potency bud! The girl was genuinely knowledgeable about what I was buying, not just saying things to impress me that were total bs. They had nice containers to look at the herb. I got a really good 1/8th of Grape for only $30. Absolutely awesome! The variety was untouchable by most dispensaries, and if you want a high variety of top notch and sometimes rare strands, this is THE PLACE! The place is clean and set up nicely. My only request is that they put a couple more menus on the counter. Otherwise, no complaints, you totally made a loyal customer out of me!
The staff is super unfriendly and causes drama in front of customers. Delaney is so rude and blatantly demeaning to her coworkers (to the point it made me feel uncomfortable as a customer). I've met other customers who have said this is not an uncommon occurrence at La Mota Beaverton. I also saw that they roll their house joints in the bathroom and that was the last straw for me. This place needs some serious work. Absolute disaster of a dispensary. It should be reported.
This place must be under new management, because they suck! There is one awesome salesperson, but the rest are sub par unfortunately. They are new and don't know the product or the customers well. They don't understand sales nor customer service. I had to wait for a long time with just 2 customers in the store. I used to be a regular customer who spent quite a bit of $; but now, I will happily take my business to one of the many other dispensaries on the same street. If you charge VIP prices, offer VIP service. They literally talked themselves out of my money. Worst experience related to service I've had in awhile. I'll never be back, save your time and $.
It's already enough that the location is v small, but went in today looking for dabs got a little hectic in there nothing too crazy, but since they have they're oils & edibles in a refrigerator in one of the corners the guy helping made it seem like it was too much of a hustle. Couldn't see other options bc he said he'd have to check a book for prices, didn't give much information of the oils, didn't feel comfortable even asking to look at more or didn't even ask what strand it was. Most uncomfortable & weird situation.
Atrocious customer service. Dude with the glasses started an argument with the girl in front of a store full of customers. When I asked simple questions he treated me like I had completely inconvenienced him to do his job. Left without leaving a tip (I normally do) will not come back without a formal apology.
This place is weak sauce. They used to be good with the top shelf tuesay but not the ltoces are the same as everywhere else. They day order online so that we can skip the line and when you get here they make you stay in line in the rain like wtf? If your website says I can skip the line you should honor that or turn the online ordering off. I did online to skip the lines and social distance and I'm having to wait here anyways. Not worth it when blooming deals and defyne have way better deals and are right down the street. Lost a good customer here. Get it together la mota. TRASH
Horrible customer service. They want customers to come shop but treat them like shit when they make a mistake. I opened up all the canisters when I got home and there was nothing in one of them. I was buying a shake deal so I guess they are pre weighed and packed. Well There was no offer of a solution. I just got a theres nothing I do followed by a wack ass sorry. I just wanted what I paid for and an empty container is not acceptable. I will not be returning and ill make sure to tell everyone else not to go to them either.
Legit what happened to this place. Went there today and ended up waiting for my order to be established for 30m, didn't help that one of the girls seemed like she was being trained, also lack of knowledge in industry. Quite disappointed.
Friendly and attentive staff. Knowledgeable and easy on the eyes too. Good selections and great value. They remain my go to in the area.
Placed my order to save some time and to get some of their good deals. Never got a confirmation text so 1 hour later I gave a call and the employee said they were sorry but they've been busy - which is understandable. Got it all sorted out and got my order placed after making some changes due to stock only to arrive and wait another 20 mins outside before being attended. I was finally helped because I got someone's attention and asked them if they could check on my order. After going going and forth, incorrect math with my total and after more wasted time it was shared that they recently ran out of the flower I had ordered ... even though I placed that order over 1.5+ hours ago and they had confirmed it over the phone. All of this was ended with a quick verbal 'fuck off' as I left the store. WHAT AN UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF recommend to anyone who is willing to chance okay deals for terrible staff and wasting so much of your time
I bought at the Aloha store. My complaint is the product. I bought a cartridge in your brand . First time as I don't live in the area . Anyways, your cartridges SUCK ! Clogging and coming out the mouth piece when it finally unclog ! I'd bring it back but I live an hour and a half away !
I'm an everyday regular because I love the staff at this specific location. Everyone is extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable of product. The store always has top shelf fire
Really great staff. The facility is very clean, if a little claustrophobic when more than about 3 customers are shopping. I would like see more "connoisseur knowledge." Specifically how strains are valuated, knowledge of grow details, lineage, etc. But the top shelf cannabis I have bought the last two times (6 total strains for 2 oz at a cost of $350 an ounce) have been excellent. I also appreciate that they only handle the buds with chop sticks! This preserves trichomes and prevents germ passage. I'm looking forward to purchasing more very high quality medical grade cannabis.

I decided to write a new review today, I haven't been in for a while and today I went in and had a really good experience. The customer service has really switched up in a positive way 🙂. The product has improved as well. All good stuff 👍 👌
