I have been there several times since they opened to adult use in April 2019. They have the best selection of products in Berkshire County ( as of April 2019). They have better ambiance than Temescal and better selection than Theory Wellness. All of the staff I have met so far have been polite, not horrid. I have hopes that this place will be around for a while and will get better as this industry normalizes.

My favorite place. Allowed to bring my dog in and he always gets love and a treat! Never had any problems. I order online. Always in and out in 5 minutes. Couldn't ask for much better. They carry my favorite strain. Orange  chemelon. I don't understand the few poor reviews. Always happy here

Not entirely their fault, as they have to work within the confines of the statist dotted line... but why should anyone bother? I drove an hour out of my way to be turned away despite a preorder... again a lot of this inefficiency is thanks to the covid nonsense and consequent (and unfair) state intervention closing a lion's share of their business down. If you want to pay more + taxes for the chance to have your time wasted, go ahead and get your product here. AND get this, I just got a text after driving back for an hour (2 hrs wasted in total) letting me know that my order is now "ready." Obviously yet another error on their part which can't be blamed on the inefficiency of the state of Massachusetts.

What a bummer that they were given a poor review based on the behavior of people in line. What a professional establishment.

My first time there, used my bank card, expecting it to be like any business, but told there is a $3.50 charge. Okay. No problem. Then I look at my bank statement n not only was I charged $3.50 but they ran my credit card as an ATM withdrawal?! So again tacked on another $2.50. It's not the money, but really? That's kinda sketchy

The point is that you don't list the additional fees on your website. The consumer gets charged your ATM fee and any additional fees their bank may charge. Most would stop and get cash if they realized this.

The place is amazing. I am a medical patient and have only gone here since I got my medical license. Huge selection of flower. PRJ's, concentrates, and other stuff. The point system is really cool, I've been able to use them to buy an 1/8 for $1!!  Everyone that works there seems to genuinely care about your needs. Not to mention the girl with the curly hair and tribal tattoos on her fingers is gorgeous!!   But back to the products... they also have the best CBD rich products I've ever had anywhere.  Hope they are around till I get really old!!   Omg.. and the chocolate, holy heaven!  They have a $50,000 machine in the back that just mixes the chocolate!! The lady at re counter told me that.

18 dollars a gram ? Can't buy eighths quarters half's in this strain. Packaging seemed more expensive then pot. No breaks on fee although I bought a lot. Reminds me of the dealer and his nickels at Washington square park in the seventies. At those prices it brings in 9000-lb. Really ?Cut your customers some slack !

Berkshire  Roots has great products at great prices and the staff is always very helpful. Their selection is always quite  good. It's an easy in, buy, and out again. I'd heartily recommend this dispensary

Great strains, with a general consistency that allows me to depend on them for medical needs. Staff will do whatever possible to accommodate any patient needs. The 20% off $420 deal is available every day of the week, so that must be great for out-of-town people who can't visit regularly for the daily deals, which are great if you're local. Concentrate is quality & the best value in the county. Love that 1g vape carts were added.The new rewards reorganization doesn't motive me to be a 100% loyal and rack up points like it used to, and my disability discount is higher elsewhere. The superior consistency and quality of product is very much appreciated. OGKB is a Godsend for my PTSD and its sleep challenges, so it's a relief to see it on the menu most times. P.S. PLEASE GET THE NICE-NICE SECURITY PERSONNEL AN OUTDOOR NICE-NICE HEATER, SO HELP ME GOD!

I've been to Berkshire Roots a number of times now and every trip has been wonderful. Decent selection of products and a great staff working their. I would like to address some of the negative comments that I've read in here. First off it's true that you can't use a credit card..only cash and a debit card with a pin. And yes there is a 3.50 fee they charge you for using the debit card. I understand that some banks may charge again if debit card is used. But is that really that bad when your getting charged 20% tax on your purchase by the state? Local cannabis tax 3%..Sales tax cannabis 6.25%..Cannabis excise tax 10.75%..One person stated that the selection for medical users compared to that for "causal" users was not as good or extensive? I don't know about that.. I just looked through on the website and it looked like the selection for medical users was way more extensive than for others. Even with that said the selection for everyone is really pretty good. It does vary at times but the choices are there for all. Finally one person stated that the edibles didn't work for him? Lol. Maybe you have a high tolerance my friend. I've tried their edible gummies or chewable as they call them and they worked just fine! Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the tax..but otherwise Berkshire Roots is a gem.

Old products, edibles that don't work, pushy staff, stupid high prices, would give zero stars if possible. Go to any of the other dispensaries in Massachusetts.

Let me start out by all of these quote on quote reviews before i post this had me worried it was going to be a terrible experience ... I have to say berkshire roots have out done themselves... very friendly... Went on a weekday and was the first in line... Just get there early... Had a great experience and the staff is so friendly... I don't understand why this place got bad reviews but try it for yourself then judge... I feel like these comments are like taking somebodies word on a movie... Most of the time they are wrong... Thank you berkshire roots for proving the bad reviews wrong and will be a customer for a longtime to come...

Don't mind waiting in line, but doing it in a cloud of tobacco cigarette smoke is fucking disgusting. I wanted to puke all the way home from the smell on my clothes, not to mention my allergies going crazy. Went there expecting health and wellness to be a priority but got a different vibe. The smell from the dispensary were pleasant, but I may go elsewhere next time.

I have visited most dispensaries in western Mass multiple times as a med patient, and Berkshire Roots by comparison has always been a disappointment. On my first visit I was the only person there, yet it took almost a half hour for them to find the new patient paperwork to fill out. Upon my second visit this weekend, their website said my order would be curbside pickup, the website explained the instructions, and my confirmation said to pay with a debit card that would be rounded up to the nearest $5 and that there was no option for cash at this time. Upon arrival, no one directed me where to go as the directions instructed, so I pulled up out front, but still the person outside working didn't help me so I finally went inside and waited despite the impression I had a curbside pickup. I was charged a $3.50 fee to use my debit card inside that wasn't mentioned on their website when explaining rounding up debit transactions, and it turns out I actually could have paid cash and avoided the fee, so I dont understand why my confirmation said debit cards only if I had to go inside anyway. Additionally, every other dispensary confirms the contents of my order, but Roots did not, so I left uncomfortable not knowing whether I had everything I ordered when I walked out the door. Lastly, their outsourced strains are the most expensive med prices I have ever encountered in western mass. I wish I could give Berkshire Roots a better review, but they just haven't given me a good experience when visiting yet.

Used to frequent this place, the prices were better than their competitors, and product was decent. Then around Christmas they go and jack up prices on everything. There are cheaper alternatives legally available, plus B.R. has basically the same products since they opened. I tried to reach out to ask them about their pricing, actually reached out twice, but they didn't bother to respond. Guess they "Don't want to hear it"....whatever, I won't go back, I sort of feel like it was a "Bait and Switch". Now I'll just head to another place. Too bad, me and my friends spent a small fortune there. Plus, can't really give my money to a place that won't respond to negative criticism.

Went with my mom and had a great time! The girl at the counter was really helpful and the flower, edibles, and pre-rolls are all great. My favorite was the orange chameleon!

As someone who has been to almost all the recreational dispensaries in MA, Berkshire roots is hands down the best dispensary. The staff is beyond knowledgeable, friendly, and always efficient. You can tell everyone loves working there. It has never taken more than 10 min to get in and out of the store. The quality of flower ALWAYS delivers. Orange chem is the best strain I've ever bought from a MA dispensary, but I haven't had one strain here that doesn't deliver. I can't say the same for temescal wellness, theory wellness, silver therapeutics, etc. The curbside pickup was beyond efficient and well organized. I just want to say thank you for supplying quality products with the most reasonable prices! Keep up the great work Berkshire Roots!!!

There is one line for everyone regardless of pre-order with confirmation that it's ready. Terrible service. Don't tell me my order is ready for pick up if I have to wait an hour in the parking lot.

Stopped by today for a great experience. Mike not only helped me have ab enjoyable service, answered my questions and even waited patientlyFor me as I called my credit card provider to see why I had an issue. Definitely recommend their products and service.

Great, professional dispensary with excellent products, very kind, polite, and knowledgeable employees who are all very helpful and respectful. All the proper pandemic protocols are being applied consistently. The gentleman directing traffic in and out, to ensure everyone had at least six feet of personal space was kind, humorous, and gently kept an orderly flow of customers, coming in and going out. Looking forward to visiting again, soon!

I can only speak for the chalice cbd which they claim has 10 percent THC in it and the wifi alien kush that is supposedly 13.8 percent THC. The chalice did nothing for a THC buzz but I did feel the CBD work. The wifi alien BUSH did nothing at all. I feel like this place is lying about the numbers. Either way they got me for a few cable bills but never again. Word of mouth goes a long way I'd advise sticking with what you know!! Funny the day after visit my boy hits me up and had la confidential for 25 an eighth. Dispensary's are a joke.

Considered going back to BR for some legal weed. Checked out the Adult Use Menu and changed my mind. Why, at this point in the game, do they persist in selling unknown strains with low to middling potency? At this point in growth and development, cannabis should be at least 20 % THC. Can't wait for NY and NJ dispensaries to open for business. The cannabis market is opening up. Hopefully encouraging competition for a better product.

Clean, accessible and well stocked dispensary. Painfully polite employees will answer all your questions, on the phone and in person. The online menu descriptions are very accurate and a careful review is advised before you buy. You will be carded on your way in. Security is tight but unobtrusive - so make sure to bring your ID. There are per person quantity limits so best to call in advance to insure your in person order will be filled and/or that your selection is in stock. Payment is cash or debit card -- in person only. If you pay by debit card there is a fee of $3.50 added to your purchase. Highly recommended! ;)Top Tip: Order online after 6pm any night and pick up your order the following day. The dispensary will text you when your order is ready. Online orders get you in and out ahead of the walk-ins -- makes a difference on the weekends.

Berkshire Roots is a efficiently run, convenient one stop pot shop. Their website offers adult recreational and adult medical menus which allow you to order online for pickup. The process is simple. You place your order, they text you when it is ready, you go and pick it up.When you arrive there is a person at the door who will ask for your ID, such as a passport, and ask if you are a pre order or walk in. I recommend pre ordering. Once you enter there is a line, brief wait, and then friendly staff will go over your order and accept payment of either cash or debit card only.The staff is friendly, informed, and makes sure you not only get what you ordered but that you are comfortable with how to use it from pre roll packs to concentrates and tinctures you will have a broad selection of product.Some of my favorite pre rolls are Vortex and Orange Chameleon. Both are Sativa not indica leaning, meaning they give a more euphoric and "artsy" feel. Vortex more cerebral orange more body and good for when you just want to enjoy some ben and Jerry's and listen to music at home.The entire experience for Berkshire is transactional and efficient which means from order to pickup you are processed quick and efficient in and out. This is great but it does result in less of a "experience".As in, this isn't the sort of store you walk around in, window shop in, and get a feel for. There is stuff on display but it is literally in display cases along your line. If you prefer to go into a place, listen to some Marley and mull over your options in a casual slow manner, this isn't your kind of place.The other thing I found is that brands are not consistently available. Sometimes they have Vortex and Orange sometimes another type or types. These two drawbacks are minor and over all I find that this location has a good selection and efficient process for providing you with the weed you need when you want it and with minimal interaction and time spent on site.

All the staff were very helpful and accommodating! Love the products as well, had a lot of fun trying a bunch of different pre-rolls.

Since then, they’ve added online ordering, they’ve added more and better in house strains and they even get product drops from places like Nova Farms and Natures Heritage. The staff is still extremely friendly and helpful. Quality has not been lost during such a rapid growth!This will always be my main dispensary when I come from NY!
