Their prices are almost twice as much as Mary Mart. They condescendingly hover over you while you look- if I wanted someone to hold my hand at a store I would've brought my mom. Oh and their parking sucks.

Super friendly quick n painless....love this JOINT...great location. N great stafff....

Love this place. Best customer service in Washington. I visit the area once every few months and the joint is my first stop after landing. They have the best edibles in town.

Made me drive 30 minutes because they told me they had something they hadn't had in a month. I was really mad and I asked to speak to a manager and she was also unhelpful. On a brighter note I went to bloom Cannabis Tacoma and had a great encounter and got some amazing products. BLOOM is 5 stars

I do enjoy this place. Most employees are very helpful and nice. Sometimes I can get what I am wanting but lately it seems like I get something i like  one trip and then next time it's out. I just moved to the area. This place is convenient for me. However there is one employee I am tired of dealing with. I ask for advice on a certain flower since they are out and i get zero help and a negative attitude. There is zero customer service from this employee. They make me never want to come back. I am still a newbie and learning what I like, the lack of knowledge and assistance is very underwhelming.

Found it a little unprofessional when I stopped in for a quick purchase. I had a non-vertical issue with my ID, it's bent in awkward angle, but never prevented me from purchasing a number of times here. That is not the unprofessionalism part of the matter, but when you take my state ID and show your customers and ask for their input if I should be allowed to purchase, that makes it a terrible experience. Plus the budtender seemed so annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted, I was trying to describe a certain type of feeling I was going for, but was shot down to a rude question, Indica or sativa? Because truthfully, I do not know lady!!! I am still new to recreational smoking. But the second star is for your OTHER professional budtenders whom I purchased from and had very strong product knowledge.

There are A LOT of pot shops in T Town, i recommend trying any of them ..just not the joint. 1) parking is a problem.  A huge problem.  Prepare yourself for the one handycap space be taking up by an uber. Honestly, this is one bad day away from a parkinglot brawl . 2) trying to pull out on to either so tac way or 72end is like playing frogger.Neither of these two things stopped me from going as a customer, as i found the staff enjoyable and prices low.Untill today. There are ways of dealing with customers so that any request ie: put away your vap pen. Comes out in a respectful non offenceive way. Yeah, not so much. And that, my darling yelpers, was 3  strikes your out.Hard to get to and hard to deal with? No, honey, way too many pot shops in T Town.

Man this place is great. Each patron receive on one service. Only you and your budrista at the counter. Staff is very knowledgeable, prices are the best in town.

Apparently they don't accept vertical IDS.Went in there.No on checked our ID.UP until we found a good doobie and showed them the ID and the budtender said I HAVE TO KICK YOU OUT DUE TO THE ID  Okydoky - take my money else where  Spread high positive vibes.Not neglect the cannabis supporters and send them out the door and get a bad review.Prices are too higu as well.Doobies else where range a $1-$3 below their average priced products.

Let me start by saying I never do negative reviews anywhere, we started going to this dispensary when we moved to Lakewood which is the closest even though it's located in Tacoma but they have gone to COMPLETE SHIT!! High ass prices, rude ass employees, no knowledge on what they are selling and very bad customer service! GO TO GREEN TOKEN FOR GOOD QUALITY AND GOOD PRICES! This place is trash and a waste of time!!

What a great place. George was awesome, spent quite some time going over the selection of products with me. Very knowledgeable. Will definitely be going there in the future.

Excellent place. Went out of frustrations from my normal shop and stumbled into my new favorite. The products are expansive with amazing prices and the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and provide and unrushed experience. Great place I would highly recommend. They also have amazing deals.

The staff is always very helpful and super friendly. They understand what I am asking for and always get me great cannibals.

I really dont complain too much about cannabis customer service.. especially when i buy mostly from Seattle... but this place by far takes the cake with their unnecessary rudeness. Now i gotta go outta my way to pick up cuz yall wanna act nasty towards your patrons. Wild

Went there today. Normally they're pretty ok. Today I got the most underwhelming budtender in all my life. No overstatement, this chick was sidetracked from the second I went to bat. No 'excuse me', no indication that I had any fraction of her attention. I begin to speak again, and once more she turns and talks to her coworker. I asked her if she was done. I felt a little guilty for sounding like my father, but that guilt faded quickly as I began to suspect she had been more than sampling the merchandise. I asked her more questions. Which she answered in a most slapdash and almost reluctant way, it seemed a strange mixture of cloudy thinking and irritation that I made her deign to acknowledge my presence. I started thinking about the taste of the government cheese she had in her future, and started getting nauseous as she made her way to the register whilst doing doing her chatty cathy routine, and I forgot some of the stuff I wanted to buy. No "thank you", just chitty-chatty bang-bang back to it. She didn't have the stankest attitude, but she was irking, fo shore. Tall black dude with face tatts, you cool. Mexican chick with arm tatts, you cool. Eartha Kitt jr, start boiling pasta shells for your velveeta, I think you might need to perfect your recipe.

If i could give them 0 stars I tried going there for my first marijuana experience i just turned 21 and they didnt let me in cause my ID was not horizontal. Stupidest shit ever they lost a paying customer never going here again.

Terrible experience at this place. First they tried to tell me I'm not 21 because they miscalculated my age and then when they verified that I am indeed 21 they told me they don't take vertical IDs.

Outside there overpriced selection and under knowledgeable staff, the biggest issue is the piece of shit racist owner. 1 stars is to many for a low life punk owner life this joke of human. Glad you won that costume contest

I decided to visit The Joint after seeing some of their products and prices through Leafly, as they were RIDICULOUSLY great prices compared to the other shop I frequent.I entered the building making sure to have my ID in hand, expecting to be carded, but when I walked in, it looked like all the staff were behind the counters and there was a man and a product vendor standing to the side deep in discussion. Someone behind the counter motioned me over, and as I get up and start talking to her to tell her what I'm looking for, someone starts yelling from behind me saying "MAAM I HAVE TO CHECK YOUR ID" and was extremely aggressive about it. It was the same man who had been talking with the vendor, and after reading another review on Yelp, it sounds like the door guy makes a habit of not paying attention and then aggressively confronting customers. Extremely off-putting and unprofessional, dispensary or not. After getting that sorted out, I was explaining I was looking for specific strains that were listed  through leafly at the great prices, and several of the bud tenders just stared at me like I had grown a second head, telling me they would NEVER sell flower for that price, yadda yadda. After realizing it was pointless to debate it, I tried to just buy an eighth, and all 4 strains I asked for, no one could find. When they were offering alternatives and I would ask questions about the strain, the only thing they could tell me was whether it was an indica or sativa. I realize that dispensaries are a different energy and environment than an average store, but this experience was terrible. Ultimately it's a business, it has customers, and customers don't want to pay to leave a business feeling empty-handed and pissed. I will continue driving out of my way to go to the shop where the online menu isn't up for debate, and they seem to have quite a bit more professionalism. The one good thing I will say is that they have an impressive selection of edibles, including products I've never seen like potato chips and sugar packets. I'm sure I could find those somewhere else, though. (I've attached the screenshot from their menu to prove I didn't imagine the obscenely good prices. I've also looked at their menu again before posting this, and not only is this item still listed, there are MANY others listed for a similar price for the same amount.)

Not the best quality selection for flower, personally, but every now and then I run in for prerolls. Decent prices for those, customer service okay,  ever a terrible experience purchasing. But. Recently, I bought flower there for the first time. My bad. Got home and it basically crumbled when lit. No smoke. Thought maybe I'll mix it with what I KNOW smokes and it just ruined that. Crumbled. Never had the problem so don't know. Just wanted to voice my concern and disappointment and kept getting hung up on. Feedback is important for a business, the tone and language of their responses can cause a positive outcome or negative review. Exactly why I was calling but am now here. Within the past two weeks I've been in twice and once my ID wasn't even checked at the door (no one was sitting there) and the next time I came in I told an employee and she said "luckily you weren't undercover" yeah.. luckily.

The owner had had multiple employees walk out because of how racist he is he's been seen in black face and is entirely unapologetic about it he does not create a safe environment for poc in his shop if you live in Tacoma and are looking for a honest weed shop that gives back go to clear choice cannabis they just recently had an event for Juneteenth where they donated a potion of their profits and they are constantly having deals which  benefits you as well

I do not recommend this shop. Their online ordering is not accurate, for example I somehow was able to order product they dont even carry. The one other time I had tried to place an order I never got confirmation that it was received or anything, only got an email the next day saying it was rejected. Not to mention their prices are extremely high compared to other shops in the area.Also they do not at all follow proper mask guidelines. Today and the last time I was in the shop there were employees on the floor with no masks. The manager did try to apologize and expressed he had been recently tested and was negative - however it doesnt mean one cant become a carrier after they were tested. This is probably the first and only business I have been to that didnt adhere to the mask mandate and the shop is EXTREMELY small. I kept being made to walk by people rather than the worker bring the product to me.Dont waste your time or money here, plenty of other well priced and responsible shops you can support.

I got some vaps pens here and both of them died out while there was still half of the weed in them! I came in with them and they went and got the Manager. She basically said too bad for you! I will never go in here again! If I could give a zero stars I would!

No prices on nothing. Not even the clearance section. So had to scan EVERY item I was wondering about. Didn't have what I wanted. And the redid the parking lot so there's only about 5 parking spots and a tight fit to back up to get out of it. Everybody was having fun.

Stopped in to pick up a little cannabis for the weekend. Security checked ID at the door and you had to look towards the camera a pull down your face mask. Overall good selection. Knowledgeable staff. We even got a discount for being first time customers. Would return if in the area again.

Small place, but stuffed with product and the bud tenders are stuffed with personality and knowledge! I love that every time I am there I get schooled about something I either didn’t know, or know enough about to begin with. Never been there when I had to wait to impatient. Seems too easy and convenient sometimes! I can’t honestly feel good about giving any one of them the blue ribbon alone as favorite so I’ll just give this cannabis dispensary and staff, (I have my eye on the sweetheart that holds the door!!😉) my favorite across the board! Thank you for being in my neighborhood! Excepting samples for testing!! Always do what I can…🤣🤣🤣

This was my boyfriend and I’d first time visiting this dispensary. My bf and I are not from the area and were visiting family when we decided to stop by here right before our vacation ended and flew back home to Houston the following day . Although it wasn’t a very long one, my experience here was amazing! Spencer was so awesome in explaining different products and provided several recommendations. I also LOVED that he was looking out for our pockets, even though cost wasn’t an issue, by suggesting comparable products to the ones that my bf and I were initially interested in that would help us reach the same high. Spencer explaining thoroughly about the different products and providing recommendations and other suggestions to my bf and I, who are inexperienced with cannabis products, really made this a memorable vacation and gave us a a great first impression with this dispensary. He was kind, warm, informative and super welcoming. We hope to be back soon to the area and will definitely visit again when we come back. ♡

Came back and Cassandra was awesome. Super helpful and made great recommendations. Latoya was so nice and knowledgeable! We will be back Love u guys. Wish you had more deals more often but we love the store and people so keep coming back!

ETA: Charlotte is especially helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Edited 8/20/21: Janessa has redeemed the online ordering experience at the Joint. I had a negative experience in the past but she was exceptional - a very helpful associate.

Christopher was really nice & very helpful. Never had a bad experience here. Everyone is always friendly and upbeat. It's so convenient considering i live a block away. Also the music is always loud & good. Parking lots a bit small so i usually just walk down which gets me some good exercise and fresh air, so I don't think that's a bad thing😁 I would recommend this place for sure👍
