Was there fri. Got my order from budtender. Noticed they had mighy an crafty"s i want one. so I asked a couple questions he told me to 'look it up on you tube, i have a lot of customers'. (All two of them) why do they pile patents in back with no sales people to wait on them. I had this guy looking through display case as i was trying to get my medication. WTF? Worst experience at a a dispensary. Both set up and customer service their medication is ok, vapes carts expensive!!
Such a nice little dispensary. Very professional and friendly staff. The medicine they off for patients is extremely well maintained and grown well. They know what they are doing for sure.
These guys had a very long wait time to get a consultation, but once it's done and over you can pop in without an appointment. I very rarely wait when I go there, and they have a good system that lets you wander around until your name comes up on a list and a bud tender calls you over. They guys have plenty of strains, but not the highest tests for thc. They sell extracts and vape carts, but usually only have 1 or 2 to choose from. Carts are $75... pricey. In fact, everything here is kinda pricey. This place is basically my #2 stop of the 5 shops I've been to.
This does not make sense on how much money this cost black market his half the price. And only getting cheaper. How about making it affordable I'm disabled. Please do something about prices and lines
It took me 4 hours to get my prescription filled. Terrible waiting in line in my car. Hopefully the wait time gets reduced soon.
This place is a joke. You cant go there til you schedule your "first" appointment. Its been 6 months and they still havent added a day yet. This is a absolute joke.
Strains/Quality. 3 starsStaff. 5 stars Cost. 1 starThe place is clean you can get in and out quickly the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable ... unfortunately GREED kills the scorethe cost is extremely high ...there's only 6 medicinal marijuana Stores in New Jersey right now ..this one is probably the best...the competition is very low hopefully prices will go down... 460$ oz!!Update I'm done with this place ...I love when you drive an hour and they screw up your renewal date and i can't get any medicine for my grieving mother
Stay far far away from this place. The wait isn't the issue... The PRICING IS!!Who the hell sells a 1/2 Gram Vape cart for $75?! Other dispensary's such as Curaleaf sell them at a regular basis for $45.$460 for an Oz of flower?! LOL!!!! They must be smoking too much of their own stuff...I'm not sure who the hell they think they are fooling, but I wouldn't touch anything for these prices! Criminal!!!
Not a fan of the mandatory appointment for first time patients. I have to wait a month to be able to walk in? FrustratingEdit: well worth the wait. Great place and great staff . I will return
Was excited to hear that this dispensary has high CBD strains available unlike other dispensaries I have tried. That excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I tried booking online as a new patient and was met with every day being booked . I called and spoke to the receptionist who was pleasant to me but unfortunately everything is booked 45 days In advanced and the best time to check if a slot is open is between midnight and 1am! The process is not logical or convenient for me. So disappointing, will not recommend.
Started going here November 2015. Easily the best or second best dispensory in NJ, hands down. Only Compassionate Sciences comes close. Wish they had smoke free options for THC and CBD alike.
First and only dispensary I've ever visited. Travel time and traffic are minimal from my area. Product are high quality. No reason to change. Just wish there were hours available on Sunday as my business schedule conflicts and I can't get there when I need to.
I did not actually go there yet, however, their customer service is super. I saw BREAKWATER TREATMENT listed when I was trying to find a medical marijuana card. I emailed Breakwater and received a reply immediately. They were able to direct me to a physician who would be able to help me that is less than a mile from my house. They were very nice, polite and helpful, best of all they were able to answer all my questions. Even though I live much closer to Montclair, I wouldn't think of going anywhere but Breakwater. I will update as soon as I physically go there. Well, here it is July and I still don't have an extra 500.00 for a MMC. Hopefully the next governor will think it's a great idea to have all that extra tax money coming in, and herb will be legal. (Again).
I always have a fantastic experience. At this establishment. An employee named Sunny today.Blew my mind away. With his impeccable customer service. The group of employees are so understanding and kind. Thanks a million,it's greatly appreciated!
Terrible retailer. I purchased a vape from these folks that didn't work right out of the box. Brought it back today looking for a replacement and was told "We have a no return policy". I wasn't trying to return it just to exchange it for one that works. I have a no return policy of my own. You treat retail customers poorly and I'LL never return. You can keep the mediocre flower and your shitty products. Never again.
I am a disabled combat veteran who served 16 years in the service before retiring after being blown up in Afghanistan. I count on my medical marijuana for depression ptsd and traumatic induced migraines. This company turned me down at the door because of there own rules, not the state of New Jersey. I'm appalled of how they denied my medicine because of profit not people. I would recommend Greenleaf compassion center, or ANY other place that would treat Veterans like they mattered. It's a shame, when things like this happen it gives veterans the opportunity to turn their problems inward and self medicate with alcohol, meth, coke, and sometime just plane suicide.Thank you breakwater for harming veterans
I drove over an hour to get here. The people that work at this place are rude and have an attitude of entitlement. I asked to use the lavatory only to find out " we don't have a public restroom " not sure what this means but couldn't use it . They were unable to accommodate me for my meds and told me to come back tomorrow. I DROVE AN HOUR! I wouldn't come back if the meds were Free . Steer clear of this place it's a awful experience especially if you have some sort of depression . Most likely this is top 10 worst customer service ever. Especially at check in ..
Delicious products, helpful staff, welcoming atmosphere and a well rounded menu, what else could you possibly ask for out of a cannabis dispensary ??? Be sure stop by this location, assuming you have met the proper medical requirements :)
I am a long time user of cannabis, it's medicinal and recreational value has been quite obvious to the majority of the world forever. Finally we have medical cards and a small handful of dispensaries. I found the orientation silly, but if it's law, fine.I give 1 star for friendly people, and 1star for a pleasant and professional run retail end. My problem is not so much the cost, though your cartridges are running about 1/2g shy for 70 dollars, but really what bothers me is the final product. In the literature, they are boasting about state of the art growing facility. Let's pretend you do, and you dumped no less than 500k in your growing facility only, not state of the art but, you should be able to rock it. The problem for me is almost every 3$blue jar meant to protect the product from degradation is nonsense when you should save that money, and wait until your head grower learns how to flush the product correctly, I'm sure your ppms are over 300 in your final run off, can't imagine what a slurry would read at harvest.. That's why you don't display all the residual contaminates and just the thc, cbd, etc. Do you use insecticides, etc. Next, is Key, it's called the cure. This is done over weeks. First dry in 50 percent humidity, when done with that, move to curing tubs, burbed a couple of times a day. Eventually the smell is of the natural terpenes. Do it your way, which smells and tastes like grass,or hey, burns throat. Too often there is just a harshness and crackling from residual nutrients, black, or Grey at best ash, not good, means it's full of nutrients. Curing is the make or break of the final product. This takes a couple to 3 weeks. Dry' at 50 percent humidity for a while, then bins burbed daily, eventually you want aprox 12percent moisture in acured bud. Now, assuming you flushed it, the flavor via terpenes, profile is on full display, you should see a glistening trichome covered bud. If you really are hand trimming, that's silly, your quality does not warrant, and that's not what a hand trimmed bud looks like. When so much has a harsh grassy taste, you dried to fast. Maybe skip the jars and add a 12percent bavida packet to get to and keep at correct moisture level.I realize lots of customers either don't care or much more likely don't know, and give 5 stars on staff, and how great the flowers are. Their ignorance is no excuse for this to be called medical grade, particularly because you aren't proudly posting how clean your cannabis is with full disclosure of your reports. The thc value of one run you tested, and then used results to make a menu is mis leading, regardless if it's all clones, every run is slightly different. I guess you might as well clean up while you can, because when you are faced with real competition, like when it goes recreational, it will be about quality, and branding it. You have a long way to go before you could ever consider the quality grade A. Nothing more annoying then dropping top dollar on poorly to mediocre quality cannabis, from a "medicinal facility. Sorry for the book, but I have given an honest opinion gathered over a few months, so it's not a disgruntled customer thing, it's just what is, and too many people are enamored with the nice Abercrombie and Fitch dressed staff, and just assume they're buying top notch. It hurts twice to spend money on this, and then again, while smoking, hurts throat and sinusesI think a business that is a guaranteed money making machine should be held to standards.. Osha, fda, and whoever else should make full disclosure a law, and this would weed out sub par growers, and businesses. It's a privilege you were awarded the license to open. So assuming I had the money for all the applications and licenses, still doesn't mean I'd be able to open a store, or you. It's like a winning lottery ticket here, no real competition means no reason to improve. When real growers are player's down the road, not seeing any longevity for these few current dispensaries. Guess it is what it is for now.
Keep in mind, this is a medical marijuana dispensary and in New Jersey the only way to have access to such a place, is going through the process of demonstrating "need" and getting a NJ medical marijuana card. I was extremely happy with Breakwater ATC. I made an initial appointment with them to discuss the benefits and use of different strains they carry. Chris took great care of me and was able to field every question I could think of. The showroom has all the strains they carry and different devices to safely consume it. They always have a special on one strain, and they have discounts for first time visitors, people on disability etc. The selection was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful. I'm very happy with my experience and will not only be a regular customer, but am also recommending others to check them out. Update 8/18 I'm a regular here, I've been to other dispensaries since, but this one is my favorite. The strains here are well balanced for the needs of many patients and while they do add additional items to their menu, they also do a good job to try to keep all strains in stock. I'm thrilled that they have added topical oils (that can be used as a tincture as well as concentrates that can be dabbed or used in a specific vape). Other then the fact that I tried to get a much needed job there & they didn't give me an opportunity (not nice as I'm handicapped) this place is doing everything else right.
Everyone there very nice. Explain different strains that would help you. Would highly recommend! Will be going back.
I just got my card and this place was not only close but my doctor recommended it. Like others I'm sure I was visualizing a dark shop with sitar music and beads in the doorways. It is actually in an office center, well lit with a clean waiting room. The people who greeted me were very friendly. I then met some people who went over the forms and explained what they had. I then met with a very nice attendant who explained all the strains, what they were for, how to take it etc. He was very patient made some good suggestions and even wrote down which ones to take for what.I didn't realize how little you need. I doubt I will need more for a long time. I also got the Grape Ape topical oil. It worked really well on cramps. I am trying the different ones, but it will take a while to figure out the best formula. One note, I only smelled the Grape Ape oil and it's very strong and skunky and reminds me of cat pee, luckily it has no taste. But it's nice if you want a dose in the middle of the night and you dont want have to deal with smoking.I would recommend this place, especially if you are new.
It's the best dispensary unless you wanna take a further drive. This beats Woodbridge, and Montclair . The prices are reasonable and they also have sales every week. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and nice. They make you feel comfortable and it's just a very easy smooth transaction.
This facility has the nicest most accommodating people in this business, I always get what I pay for and the varieties are awesome.I highly recommend them to anyone that can benefit by this type of treatment.
The jar of medication I received was infested with spider mites. I called multiple times and managment never got back to me. When I walked in to talk to a manager, manager Stan was rude and accusative. Very upset with my visit. Will not be returning and do not recommend.
Breakwater ATC it's the best refinery you're going to find in New Jersey with all quality and what they say they have they have no surprises always adding new strains been going here for two years over two years I won't go nowhere else friendly knowledgeable a real 5 star
My favorite dispensary in Jersey! always consistent, polite, and nice. Only thing I'd change is an ATM...they need one in there or to take Debit like Harmony does...and more of a rotation in strains. Other than that I love it.
First time at a dispensary, in general, & first time here.First impressions...It's not a stereotypical headshop & dispensary. It's a professional shop setting where you can get helpful information regarding medicinal cannabis. Check-in is a breeze, & the employees are professional, helpful, & friendly. They have many strains of marijuana available to suit your different needs, which are all displayed neatly so you can see what you're getting. They also have a selection of various smoking options, including; pipes (water & otherwise), papers, screens, & the like. As far as security, you can't enter without a state-issued medicinal marijuana card, & once you show it at the desk & check in, you are buzzed through. Once in, you're in line as to when you checked in. Once you're called, your time at the counter is yours for questions & concerns, & the employees will help you with your needs. If you're looking for a good dispensary, I recommend Breakwater Treatment & Wellness.
Excellent ATC. I went for my introduction appt at breakwater. First time visitors need an appt. it seems annoying, but after sitting with Sky for 20 minutes, well worth it. They walked me through their system, they were interested in my experience and my knowledge. It was a real conversation, one that wasn't rushed. Sky provided tons of knowledge and options tailored for my particular wants and needs of cannabis consumption. Next I met Dani the budtender, so friendly, and showed me a really fun rolling tray I couldn't pass up with my first time discount. I walked out with oil, cartridge, and flower. Felt the need to try their options. Below is a brief breakdown of what I got. The cannabis flower: placed in a uv resistant jar according to your qty. worth the extra 3$ over the other dispensaries. Great options with great explanations for any user. Bud looks excellent, smell excellent. The extracts / cartridges / mct oil: they lay it out nicely and explain what's what and how to use. Got a Durban cartridge with excellent taste and great accurate effects. The mct oil is diluted and made to be very user friendly, easy to control dropper. (not on concentrated level)The accessories: they have it all, papers, dab rigs, pipes, trays, wicks, candles, storage cases of all sizes, and so much other great stuff. ONE STOP SHOP. Atm on site. This is the best dispensary, their cost is a bit above curaleaf, but for not being a national chain brand, they are doing an amazing job. Since you asked...As for now, I rank the top three ATC like this:1. Breakwater - All around experience/options (pricey)2. Harmony - employees daily discounts (only flower)3. Curaleaf - every option great price
There honest and knowledgeable and helpful to your needs ' Jars are sealed! The staff is also friendly and on Monday it's for seniors so there's no wait ' love there mints '
Honestly, I've given this place so many chances. This is the only dispensary I've had trouble with. There's no way to contact them unless you go through Instagram it seems and all you've receive is the same copy and pasted answer from their website. The appointment process is one fo the hardest I've seen for people that are only coming here for medicinal reasons. They offer no phone assistance or online assistance. You must go in person, during a pandemic, (adding someone else to your list of contacted people because you have no choice but to get your medicine). You have to make the appointment two months in advance and that's ONLY if you catch an open appointment slot. They will send you a mystery email (whenever they want and the email says that) with your paperwork, even up to a day before your appointment) and that's basically the only reminder/correspondence you get from them. It's disheartening having so many mental, and physically disabilities already, adding this much added work to someone who cannot afford the help she needs makes it feel like a slap in the face. The only easy thing about this process is the ads you send me trying to get my money when you've showed literally zero interest in helping me as a patient. I would have loved to try and discuss this with someone and try to get some or any assistance like i have with every other dispensary, but sadly there is no way to get in touch with you.I don't feel right giving a company my money when they are supposed to care about my medicinal needs but clearly do not.
Let me start over....I have been trying to get my first appointment for 2 weeks now. I called, left a message, and then someone did call back. However, why can you not schedule an appointment? Is it right that you tell people to go on the site at midnight to see if an opening becomes available? Are you serious?? I did this every night and haven't seen a single opening. So no one else has experienced this? It says 45 days waiting period, but let me get an appointment on the 46 day and call it a day!! Why you guys being lame as f@#K! IM GOING TO KEEP TRYING AND POSTING BC THIS IS BEAT AA HELL!! stop making people feel like crackheads just bc they want to check your spot out.
From start to finish, this place is great. You can tell it's great the minute you walk in, because it is SO crowded. First time guests require an appointment. You can schedule it online, or they have walk-in appts on Tues and Weds from 3p-5p, as available. Be sure to check the website to see if things change, especially around holidays. I put in for an appointment 2 weeks out, since I cannot make it during their walk-in hours. As I was sitting there, waiting for my appointment, someone walked in for the first time. She had been to other dispensaries before, but not this one yet. The gentleman behind the counter politely explained that, as it was her first time there, she needed an appointment. She asked for one, and he said he was unable to accommodate her that day, and that many people have to book weeks out due to popularity. As someone who followed the rules, I was happy to hear this. However, he was able to book her for Monday at noon, 3 days later. Whereas I had to book weeks out. So maybe that's a pro-tip. If you are close enough to stop by and play stupid, they can get you an earlier appointment than you can get online - just be prepared for someone to write a passive aggressive Yelp review complaining about you working the system. :)Anyway, back to the good. They were right on time for my appointment, I booked a group appointment and was taken in with 1 other girl. The guy behind the desk explained all their products and how to use them, checked if we had any questions, then set us loose on the dispensary. We had been put in line when we started the appointment, so I was called almost as soon as the appointment was over. I was glad, it was very overwhelming to be in the room with so many people. It was anxiety inducing, which was exactly the thing I am trying to prevent. The lady who helped me was very patient and nice and great. She told me to pretend it was just me & her there, and she was in no hurry. I was able to go over the menu and make my selections (first time buyers get a 10% discount, and I wanted to take max advantage of that). In all, I walked out with 2 cartridges and 1/2oz of raw material in 1/8ths. I spent just over $340.I am looking forward to the other 6 dispensaries opening up, and the program to expand more. Hopefully a little competition and an increase in supply will drive the prices down. It is very expensive to legally buy weed in NJ right now. The prices here were lower than equivalent product at Garden State Dispensary in Union and Woodbridge.
Breakwater is my go to dispensary for medical marijuana in NJ. It's extremely clean, the staff is knowledgeable and happy to help in every way. They made my first appointment easy and comfortable. They know their strains and have guided me to target specific issues. Always successfully! I'm very grateful for the bud tenders!! #1 in NJ!
I'm Happily surprised ! Great medical strains, Great sales, and the right discount ! Order on line, pick up is just Wonderful. Attentive to the needs of the patient. In and out, satisfied in 10 minutes or less ! Grower's arr knowledgeable and got a handle on quality ! Consistent quality !! Hard to come by. If you support great business, great medical marijuana, this IS the place to go !!
Very courteous, helpful staff. They obviously care about their patients. No long line. If there is a line it moves very quickly. I'm really lucky they are close be for me.
I had a little problem with my card when I got there for my first visit. I got it all straightened out with the state and then was able to buy product. Everyone was so nice and understanding. Can't wait for my next visit!
Friendly staff. First visit went well. Had an issue today with what was sold. Staff needs to make sure customer understands product they are about to purchase, especially with elderly patients who don’t have a caregiver in there with them.
Love it here. I drive about an hour just to go here instead of one that is closer. They are clean, knowledgeable and have great strains. The night-time lozenges are amazing for restless leg syndrome. All of the staff are kind and helpful.
Their strains are outstanding and I'm willing to bet that they have something you're looking for. They only sell hybrids that are engineered specifically for the symptoms that they treat. Even though the place is 90 miles away I still drive there once every few weeks over any other dispensary just because of the quality and customer service. I've had my medical card for a little over two years and I've gone to three other dispensaries, this one is easily the best. They're also pretty consistent, so when you find something you like they will usually have it in stock. Only once in the last year did they actually run out of my particular favorite strain, and it wasn't even that big of a deal because I was able to figure out a substitute that ended up working even better than the original. Seriously, this place is high quality and I can't recommend it enough.
Breakwater Treatment & Wellness is New Jersey's most trusted source for medical cannabis. We grow, produce, and dispense the highest quality cannabis and cannabis products available in the New Jersey Medical Marijuana Program.
