The good and the bad. The good first. The people that work BEHIND the counters are terrific in every way. Great attitudes, polite, knowledgeable , helpful and welcoming. So kudos for those who did the hiring. The center itself is beautiful, efficient and well laid out.The prices are fair and often quite good. They have allot of interesting products and have clever marketing. Plenty of parking in a terrific locationI would love to give them five stars as the counter people are the unsung heroes. However, the front people-the people that let you through the door and answer the phone are poorly trained and typically unfriendly. They behave as though they are organizing and waving through sides of beef instead of people. They don't make eye contact, they refuse to say you are welcome when I say thank you, make people wait at both the window and counter while pursuing personal conversations and almost flip my ID back at me without any acknowledgement . They need to be trained in manners and customer service and if there is a manger over them they need to be trained as well. It's a real turn off. The other thing that turns me off is some of the cops that work security there. Wake the f*&k up. It's not 1980 and it's basically legal. The managers need to pay attention to them and their body language. There is a woman cop there and she is great. There are about three other male cops I don't care for. Reason being is they don't seem to understand that their role there is not to try and force eye contact, make me feel uncomfortable or try and intimidate me. I'm there to legally buy weed and have the card to prove it. I don't appreciate the staring, invading my space and following me around the center as I attempt to look at the products I'm about to buy. I don't want to be bothered and feel like I have to interact with them or engage with them in any way. I think it's weird and I resent it. Smile, nod, look pretty but unless I'm trying to rob the place stay out my way and read MY body language. I realize I'm going on about eye contact-too little, not enough, body language and tone. It's all part of the customer service experience and I don't like feeling as though I am some sort of potential suspect from cops and as though I am just a dollar sign and tedious wave through from the front desk people. Get on it owners-I'm not the only one that has noticed it.

Do not buy medicine from this place!!!! They are criminals and scammers!!!! Charging top dollar for junk. Top shelf prices are ridiculous and they are pushing a bill to limit patient access to affordable medicine!!! They are trying to cut it plant limits and care givers. They scam cultivators on the price they are willing to pay for their medicine.

I started off going to Slater because it close. I find the staff more into weed than medical. They have no clue on what best for your health issues and guided me wrong for 6 months until I figured it out. Your rushed and as an educated person in MMJ, I only will go to get oil. Their stuff is only fair in quality and high on prices. I would recommend to take a drive to another.

Great Staff! Before you make one more batch, make the 50 canna pop coconut available always. I  use the 50 mg for nausea almost daily lately. The coconut flavor is mellow. The cannabis flavor comes later and not very strong.Better for the belly! Thanks!

If you use the drive through during covid CHECK YOUR BAGS.  I give five stars because they fixed their mistake.  My sister and I are both card holders and went though drive through. It took longer because we were two to a car.  The cars behind us honked the second we got our bags. We wanted to check.  We got 5 bundles together and totalled 1000 dollars.  Wanted to make sure it was there.  We pulled into the next parking lot and one bundle was just cookies that my sister bought but was charged for the bundle.  We went right back. It was so unorganized inside.  They told my sister they were helping her and for ten minutes we surely thought we were screwed out of 171 dollars.  (There aren't any cameras that we know of in the TINY sheds they use to get you order together...). When my sister went to get her bundle she paid for, the guy told her she didn't have enough grams to buy it where she basically flipped being like "I paid for it". Thank God it worked out. They could have easilly told us we should have checked before you leave.   We are out of state.. it was just too rushed and the line wasn't that long.  Took 3 min..  change and cards thrown back in bag, it's just nice to be able to check.. and not be rushed.  Also, the guy who helped us begged his co workers to help with my car since we had alot of stuff and 2 patients, they were really rude to him.

My favorite dispensary and hands down the best cannabis. I love that they are consistent with edibles. I can always count on them having what I need. Slater became my go to for the great prices, consistency and of course the quality.

Use to be a regular before COVID but then Slater got greedy for that 600 extra bucks check so they "adjusted" prices and specials went from 28 for a third to an average of 35.  The two other sites have held the line with their specials so I think we can safely  attribute the price jump at Slater to exploitation of a crisis.  Class act, Slater.  Once the best and now by far the worst of the Rhody dispensaries.

Drive thru lines are getting way too long, the hours are cut, $35 carts run out in one day so imagine you have to buy 3 at a time to be ok for 4 days that way your not in that long line

I can't utilize the online ordering system. Being disabled I can't drive. I also don't have anyone to drive me, so I'd be in a vehicle to pick-up a order. (My only means of transportation is a 2 1/2 hour public bus ride). I don't have anyone to be a authorized purchaser or a caregiver assigned to help me. This puts me at a huge disadvantage in obtaining the much needed products I normally am able to receive when everyone was on the same playing field, standing in line, first come first served. I don't understand why under certain circumstances some can't pre-order and walk in for pick-up. I've been a R.I. cardholder since 2010, never been to any other dispensary because I've always been able to obtain my preferred medicinal cannibals products at Slater compassion center in the past. They do have a excellent selection at times of various types of flowers. (although personally D.C.B. was always truly top shelf). The concentrates are usually great. The edibles although infrequently on sale have a nice variety from baked goods to drinkable. There is truly something for everyone. The C.B.D. related products are quality. The current R.S.O. is full spectrum and considered desirable, along with the Phoenix Oil if still available. The pricing and sales are commendable. Mostly, all workers are helpful and polite. I hope on my next visit to have the same quality selection as everyone else to obtain.

TCS STOLE FROM ME AND THEY CAN STEAL FROM YOU, TOO!  I placed an order. TCS called me and said one ordered item was out of stock. No problem, fine. However, upon picking up my order at TCS, I was charged for the OUT OF STOCK item. I called immediately and left my contact information. They did not respond after one week. Then, I emailed them. No response at all. Conclusion: TCS HAS NO PROBLEM STEALING YOUR MONEY. And they don't respond to complaints. 'Just shut up and go away', the TCS customer care policy.  Better yet, shop someplace else.

UPDATE: I received a call from the management at Slater Center today. They were very concerned about my well-being and disturbed to hear of the negative interaction I had yesterday, with Laura. I can honestly say I've never been so impressed at how sympathetically, promptly and compassionately they responded to my complaint. It would appear Slate Center still has compassion, and I thank them for taking the time to personally reach out to me and resolve this issue. -Thursday 1/14/2021ORIGINAL POST: Today I went to Slater's drive-through to pick up an online order I had placed; something I have been doing since the start of the Pandemic, when they offered this as a safer alternative to entering the main facility. It's a wonderful service. However today's visit came with a confrontation with a very impolite manager named, Laura. I have never felt so disrespected. I have been a patient and dedicated supporter of Slater Center going on 5 years and have never had a problem with any manager or employee. They are usually so kind, sympathetic and full of compassion.Today's confrontation revolved around a debit card billing error, on Slater's behalf, which affected many patients, just over a year ago. Sparing the details, I was told by this manager if I didn't pay up, I wouldn't be able to buy any more medication from them. I explained I had called and spoken with a manager when they first implemented the practice of inserting a past due slip in each order and was told, "I'm OK, don't worry about it." I was also told at that time if I had the extra money to pay toward this debt I would need to enter the facility (something I have avoided due to the pandemic and the fact that I'm a cancer patient) and pay in person.Today after explaining all of this to Laura, and explaining I'm disabled so I receive SSDI once a month, and that I have Medicare, explaining that deductibles are now in effect since it's a new year, and my prescriptions cost double my monthly income, her response to me was, "I don't care. That's not my problem. It's been owed for over a year. My problem is clearing the outstanding debts in my books.", which was the most incredible slap in the face.I was so upset at that point, especially since she wouldn't listen to me, and continued to disrespect me and talk over me. Then she contradicted what I had been told, and read on their past due slips, by telling me I could have paid all year at the drive through. She repeated if I didn't pay they wouldn't provide my medication. Where's the compassion?Ultimately after going back and forth, she agreed to allow me to pay $25/ month until paid off (approximately $130); but successfully managed to intimidate me and make me feel like a piece of dirt. She ended by saying, "So if you don't pay the $25 dollars next week, you won't be able to get your medicine." -unbelievable.I hope this is not the direction Slater Compassion Center is going. I pray it's is a single occasion of one poorly skilled manager's bad decision on how to interact with me, and that Slater is not losing it's Compassion. Always remember, there are other places to go, with more coming soon. -Wednesday 1/13/2021

Everyone there is very friendly & helpful. Enough of a selection to fund what you want/need. Would be nice to have more .5 grams pre rolls. Seems like there's always a shortage. Sorry,no photos allowed inside. Go to their website to check that out. Enjoy!

JAMIE is awesome there...She helped us through every single step of the process, and explained it all to my sister. She was very professional but yet made our trip fun. She's an ASSET to TCS and is EXCELLENT with the patients, and she knows what she's talking about and exactly what people need or don't need.....They were all very pleasant, but Jamie took the time to explain everything to us, each step. Shes wonderful!!

Worker's are very nice. Bud was really good. When I first started coming there was always good deals. Now 2 years later I'm not as impressed as I was. The prerolls r usually always too tight. The Rosin was Always great. The last one I got the consistency was different. It was more like Wax and not Rosin. I hope the next time things r like they use to be. Workers are still great.
