Stopped by and was told it was online pick up only.. went to the website and it was not functioning ..error message.. I'm thinking this will be like a real retail experience in a few more years
I don't post reviews often..... but I just knew I had to after my visit at MedMen! Zack and Miguel were both so welcoming and made me feel comfortable during my first time at a dispensary. I would definitely come back just for their amazing service, and recommend anyone to do the same!
So far second dispensary I've ever been and it is I'd 100% friendlier and faster than the one I usually go to. Friendly staff as well. Deserves the 5 stars.
Best dispensary in town. Always has cheapest prices and highest quality. Prices are hella expensive don't get me wrong, but if you're going to buy weed in Chicago do it in Medmen it's not worth it anywhere else. Secure during covid times so make sure you are ordering ahead.
Absolutely love this dispensary & the incredible customer service. A big shout out to Russ for always making me feel welcome & answers my list if questions. I've visited a few other dispensaries in IL & by far MedMen is a step above the rest. The team is knowledgeable, patient & does a great job helping you navigate an expansion menu of options.
Sandra was amazing I had a faulty cartridge and she communicated very quickly. I received a new replacement cartridge within a few hours. I am pleased with the kindness that Sandra offered me.Love supporting my community and thankful that my community supports me.Linda Puleo
I'be been a patient at Seven Point for 3yrs. The flower selection for the past few months has been skimpy. We are constantly told that it's the cultivators. They had maybe 5 flowers on the menu. What did ppl stand in line for hours for? I will be changing today. I will miss the staff! Especially, Kasha and Javier and others. They are all very knowledgeable and some have been there with me from the beginning, like Terry. I hope things change as far as supply and demand. It's not "just for fun" for a lot of us.Update: As of yesterday there were 2 flowers on the menu. Every time I ask I'm told, we are expecting a delivery sometime today or tomorrow.....
Last month on a Monday at 11am I visited this location and it was much busier than usual for the day of the week. Rather than watch this happen, Russ took it upon himself to open up a remote checkout station to keep things flowing smoothly. This really sped up the process for all of us and made me feel like this dispensary values my time, which isn't the case elsewhere. Just came across my receipt and wanted to leave a positive comment here for efficient, friendly service - thanks Russ! Furthermore, the service from the whole team from entry to exit is always courteous and attentive. Thank you!
I love this place! Very organized, excellent customer service (Stephanie is great!) very welcoming and the wait time- 5 min max from my experience. Keep up the amazing job staff!
Happy 420 on 04.20.2020!!!!I was here when they cut the ribbon for Seven Point. Fascinating to see how things have evolved.Enjoy Responsibly.
Checked out their website. Checked address and hours. Drove 40 minutes, 15 minutes to figure out they are in an alley. 10 minutes to park and 1.5 hours paid on the meter to find out recreational is till 2pm. Very convenient, thanks.
I have been wanting to try various CBD products for nerve pain in my elbows and to assist with sleep. I was very happy with the warm greetings by the staff as well as with their availability for questions. I can't comment yet on the efficacy of their products, but will provide an update later. My only complaint is that they don't do a print out of what each product use and dose is, so I am hoping I remember correctly what each is for; they should provide one with something. Finally, being an older person did not seem to matter as everyone seemed to be greeted and treated the same. I recommend.
This place is very clean and organized, the employees are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable, they have a pretty wide variety of products and the products themselves are of good quality. They make the process of buying very simple and convenient! They take your order while you're in line and they get everything done quickly so you can be in and out if you like. I really like this establishment and it has become my go to place for recreational cannabis products. Thank you Med Men for your wonderful service!
Always very friendly helpful staff. Today both Justin & Zach gave outstanding service. My only negative is their website which can be wonky sometimes.
Very professional and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable shopping here and highly recommend this dispensary.
This place only cares about Recreational cannabis customers. The haven't received a proper medical Flower delivery since thanksgiving. They are also not paying their cultivators. I bet we find them I the news soon.
Wow, how crappy. No consideration, incredibly rude security and employees, a shitty business with a confusing line and no signage. It's absolute amateur hour, and by far - the worst experience I've ever had at a dispensary. What an embarrassment.
I like this dispensary the people are nice, but the flower is often dry and smokes too fast, I don't know if it's the flower company itself storage or what the problem is, dry flower is like cold french fries maybe I'll try another dispensary to see if I have the same problem:-(
Went early in the morning for REC use, wasn't much of a wait at all, 20 min trip in all! Had a limited menu, especially on flower, but I understand there is a state wide issue in supply! great quality of what they did have, was happy with the recommendation staff gave me! Make sure you have proper state issued ID or passport as with all reputable shoppes you will have to have it to get served! Would stop by again if I'm in the area! Thank you!
Medmen is one of the BEST Medical distribute centers in Illinois. Especially the workers are so professional and they make you feel welcome and they are there to support your medical needs. I want to send a special thank you to: ANNA, NATE, AND TIMOTHY. THANK YOU . The OILS AND CREAMS WORKS FOR ME. I'M ABLE TO HAVE BETTER MOBILITY.
Super nice people, just sux that you have to write down what you want before you can go in...
Fast lines and great product even with a diminished supply. Although the prices are a bit steep, I haven't noticed any difference from other dispensaries in the area. I will definitely be coming back!
Everyone is so friendly and so helpful and they answer all your questions and have plenty of patience, they make you feel at ease and are compassionate about your illness
I have stopped by Seven Point quite a few times and the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. I wish all work environments were this nice to their customers. Special thanks to Yajaira who is very dedicated and knowledgable.Keep it up!
Nope. Never ever again. Switched dispensaries before I even left the block. Got here at 10:57 AM and I'm just now leaving at 12:30. I wasn't allowed to go in until someone spoke to me because I was new and I waited an hour. Security guard was super sweet and apologetic of the wait. When I told the woman who came to speak with me that I didn't appreciate the long wait (every single person here is in pain and they know this or else we wouldn't be there)when I did not require nor receive any assistance, she told me that they had a lot of patients. I told her I was a patient too?? She then tried to go over the menu with me but I had already looked at it for about half an hour while I was waiting. She then attempted to tell me what was on each of the pages of the menu. I told her I felt condescended upon because she assumed and I was being treated as a know-nothing. I'm aware that that's what most people are but why not just ask? I felt that it was EXTREMELY rude to make me wait an extraordinate amount of time to have very plain and very simple things that I can read myself explained to me. She told me that they were short-staffed and talked again about how they have so many patients. I asked her why the security guard could not have given me that extremely simple basic information that I waited an hour for her to deliver to me. I never got a solid answer to that but I did get a lot of excuses about having to help other people and about a "process". While I was checking out (and complaining) the woman apologized but continued to give me excuses about how busy they were which I already knew since I saw every single customer they had walk in and out because I had been there since before they opened. I told her that I followed all of the social media pages and went on the website and saw absolutely no communication whatsoever regarding any type of wait to be served the first visit. She did apologize and she told me she would pass my comments along. Why is there no system whatsoever in place so that highly educated consumers do not have to wait to be told things they already know? Why assume that I know absolutely nothing? Why not open your mouth/communicate and ask how much I know? After an hour wait, she came out and told me what was written on a menu that I had no issues reading myself and that I needed to write down what I wanted; not worth an hour's wait at all whatsoever and I will never be back here. I went way out of my way to go to this dispensary because of all the great reviews and the customer service I received was atrocious. They would not have gotten A DIME of my money if I wasn't totally desperate but I was and I spent about $160 here. She told me that the wait was so I could learn dispensary etiquette. Nobody who has a system this inefficient has ANY room speaking to anybody else about etiquette. I am extremely respectful of others' time and rules but Seven Point doesn't believe in reciprocity so I'll take my measly little $600 paycheck that I get every 2 weeks and go somewhere, anywhere else. THIS ISSUE IS SO EASILY FIXED. All they had to do was tell first-timers that there was an orientation. If you're ready and prepared to purchase medicine then write down what you want. If you are not prepared then you must meet with someone beforehand. How hard was that? Why is that protocol not already in place? Their prices are high and I'm not spending any hard-earned cash to be treated like cattle. Seven Point completely ruined my first dispensary experience.
My first time experience was incredible! I met with Terri who was so nice and helpful and knowledgeable. I felt at ease and happy to have chosen them as my dispensary.
This place needs to train their line staff and security to keep people waiting informed and be fair in drawing the end of the line for recreational buyers. Yes it's the first week, but that's no excuse not to be fair and equitable
Rude security guard told me they don't sell recreational after 12pm. Doesn't say this anywhere on their website or social media, and no sign posted anywhere. Don't bother wasting your time since you won't know if they'll actually let you in, it'll be up to them at the last moment.
Little to no wait. Has a solid selection but missing on some key features/staples found at most dispensaries including the pre-rolled joints and chocolate bars. Staff was genuinely nice and helpful, albeit initially confused regarding my status as a medical patient - maybe it's my age or time I went? I don't know. Definitely will be returning/keeping this as my main dispensary - just hoping to see the prerolled and chocolate bars on the menu soon, as I am currently assuming the selection is largely a result of supply/demand. Overall, impressed and glad to see a shop in Oak Park.
The staff is very nice and remembered me although I had only been there one time before. They are very knowledgeable about their products and take their time to ensure that you are comfortable.
The staff here is so friendly. The environment of this dispensary is like no other. I've been to several dispensaries here In IL and seven point is the best so far. The place itself is beautiful and wonderfully designed. They have every product I ever asked for and the team is so informative of sales and products available. Free parking for 90mins in the back. Check it out.
It's a nice setting. Not a lot of focus on the medical though. It would be nice to have a more discreet area where you could talk about the medical issues. Mainly just specials and pushing product. If you want something specifically, there's a good chance they won't have it. But maybe that's the state of the MM industry in Illinois. Always good to go to some other places so you can make an enlightened decision.
I came to Seven Point for my first time today, and let me say the experience was nothing short of amazing! A client care consultant name Yajaira walked me through the whole process. She helped educate me on the several ways of medicating and she took the time to listen to my lifestyle and needs. Based on everything I told her she then recommend what she thought would be best for me. She was patient, great with her product knowledge, and made the experience a comfortable and enjoyable one! I would recommend this dispensary to anyone and everyone.
i recieved supreme patience and service today..and prior appts with good service have kept me coming back..the 2 employees that served me today went beyond to exemplary. seven point is on point
Staff is friendly enough. A few concerns are the parking situation. It's across the back entrance and can be a bit sketchy. Make sure you know what you want going in. Then make sure you are actually getting what you request. My gf explained what she was needing it for & was given something quite the opposite. If you recommend high CBD, don't give products with high THC.
Stopped by once to pick up literature and ask a question, and came by another time to participate in an introductory workshop. Overall a disappointing experience for a facility still faltering at organization, at educating their staff, and obtaining enough medical expertise to assist patients who actually have medical problems looking for help. I don't know who could actually safely use this facility outside of a long term marijana user familiar with the products and few or no other medical issues/medications that need to be considered to use the products safely and effectively. First, you cannot pick up any literature or get any useful advice until you sign up and choose them as a dispensary. It was inappropriate for their security guard (it's like walking up to Fort Knox) to be trying to dispense advice, but that happened with me. Their website is insufficient and doesn't give you detailed information on the choice of products (ex. ratios of CBD/THC/terpenes) and the significance of these ratios, for what purpose you choose which product (meaning medical/clinical benefits) and they don't seem to do any quality control themselves. They have no employees who have clinical/medical knowledge, no one trained in pharmacy, and they do not provide appropriate information if you have questions in that regard. A ?one week training course is not sufficient knowledge to be selling an elderly patient with severe diabetic neuropathy, on blood thinners with a history of mild dementia medical treatments that will interact. And the fact that they don't seem to know this, or where to direct you accordingly, is even more disturbing. Online I see that currently an "intense, 4 hour training course" is offered for those seeking work at an illinois dispensary, sufficient for sitting for your certification exam. Yeah.....When I attended an information visit about their location at the Oak Park Public Library last year, I was told new patients would have a private introductory session to review your medical history and current medications and get recommendations. Obviously, this is appropriate and necessary if you are offering a medical treatment. Isn't that what "medical cannabis" is supposed to be? The State of Illinois would not license and allow a facility to dispense and advise on the purchase of a medication without appropriate history taking and assessment, right? But they do not offer this. It is like going to a store, where "if they have time".... they might be able to answer a question while you are deciding what to purchase. You will stand up in front of everyone asking questions, while strangers can listen to your medical situation etc... I've heard there's a great dispensary in Romeoville, and a more substantial one near the Medical district in Chicago. It is really disappointing that a community like Oak Park isn't able to attract a better dispensary, when it could be such a benefit to the community.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spent as much time as I wanted going over the menu and what I might find most useful. Would highly recommend.
Very friendly staff and goof product. I appreciate how helpful everyone was and how clean the facility is.
The people here are very helpful. Not sure about what another reviewer said about the parking situation being sketchy....this location is in downtown Oak Park on Lake St (very middle/upper-middle class), and the parking garage behind the building is extremely close, barely a 2 minute walk to get back to your car. The connecting alley is shared by a yoga studio and a Chipotle. Anyway -- definitely not sketchy, or at least I've never thought so. Plus, parking in the garage is free for the first two hours. The staff is very informative and helpful, and its clear they care about your experience there. There's restrooms and a water fountain available with no questions asked. They have a rewards program that earns you a discount on future purchases and the occasional free product. I used to be a customer at another medical dispensary and this one is better by far. I've never had any problems at all, and they gave me a whole bag full of free accessories on my first visit. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering MM.
they were bought out by a corporation from california. no longer local and the customer service has gone in the crapper. and they're raising prices on everything from $50 increase on an ounce of popcorn, to doubling the price of vape batteries... goodbye.
I was coming to leave a 5 star review on customer service until I opened my half full cart on top of that the damn cap wasn't even closed down all the way smh waste of $80
Best combination of product and prices in all of Chicago and the suburbs. It's in an out pretty quickly, even when there's a line. The staff is great and courteous. After checking out literally all the dispensaries, this one is by far the best. Great for recreational too. You can just walk-in and buy your vapes, gummies, joints, etc...they take cash to be safe, but also I see people there paying with debit cards. Thanks MedMen you guys are great!
My go to when I'm in the Chicago are, blame Vegas for making me love this place. I just wish they had more deals or specials then I would give it 6 stars.
New for a Chicagoan. I like the set up. The tax is ridiculous though. Haven't tried the 3rd order which is suppose to be the strongest strain.
This is a really clean and organized dispensary. This review is to focus on the facility rather the product. Wow was the line long but I cannot even complain compared to the wait times throughout Chicago. The total wait was about an hour and a half from the back of the line to existing the building. The line was well organized and they had police present to keep the peace but they didn't even need to get out of their car because everyone was very friendly. Halfway through our wait outside, a couple reps from MenMen came outside and were chatting and answering questions people had. Every single MenMen employee we encountered was professional and very kind. We got there around 2 pm and their customer service was really impressive considering the massive influx in customers they had since the minute they opened. The staff also provided menus once you got inside the building and they were starting the order process for people while in line on an IPad. This step helped speed up the purchase time and the line moved so quickly once inside. Everyone working was very patient with questions and they all seemed knowledgable about their products. They had a huge range of products to choose from so I'm sure they were getting questions all day.Something that could have made our experience better was the security guards. After waiting in the cold for an hour, the security guard closed the door in my face and turned his back and said nothing. I opened the door because he had let the gentleman in before me and then he proceeded to raise his voice about how "they're not letting anyone else in now." I did nothing to have him act this hostile towards me and this could have been handled more professionally. I'm not sure if MedMen hires these security guards or they're part of their own staff, but there's room for improvement in that area.
I tried to give them another chance epic fail I've been smoking cannabis for over 20yrs I see like a 2 day sale on shake $15 off so it's $70 I order online pick it up I'm happy now to describe this version of green crack picture it's the 4th of July everyone popping fireworks sparklers etc now you tell everyone stop I have the grand finale you pull out a m80 everyone excited you light it see the fire blazing up to the m80 and it sounds like a smoke dud don't ever I mean ever but verano shake it's like a 2mn very mild high oh did I mention it was $70 but after tax $105during a pandemic that's a lot just to buy 7g of pure huff I'll never buy there again I'm done
GREEN GRASS & HIGH TIDESNever before have the words "smoke 'em if you got 'em" rang truer.I debated whether or not to post this particular review but 1) it's April 20th 2) I've finally cleared out my entire backlog of places on Yelp 3) MJ is legal in the state, so [middle finger salute to authority] and here we are. Sorry you have to read this, mom/grandma/boss at work.MedMen is a chain of adult-use dispensaries based out of California (the store signage out front incorrectly lists Seven Point as the business name). This particular location is just east of Harlem & Lake in downtown Oak Park, whose entrance is by Trader Joe's multi-story garage behind the building. On busier days in the past, a line formed that would stretch all the way from the back door near the yoga studio to Harlem Ave. You'd get carded by a staff member and look over a paper 'menu' while standing in line, prior to placing an order. Now, they've switched over to online ordering thru Leafly with in-person pickup. The cashiers typically get you in and out efficiently. MedMen accepts debit, plus there's an ATM on-site. The store's interior is clean and well lit (as are some of the customers, for that matter). Employees are knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer to something, they'll check for you and get a resolution right away.A few months ago I sent their customer support an email regarding an item I'd bought, as it was the wrong gauge to fit my device. They reached back within hours and offered a new battery adapter free of charge! Sometimes they put your purchase in a little red goodie bag, other times your treats are sealed in a zippered pouch with a child-proof lock.Security isn't too gruff, but they're quick to let you know if you've overstepped a boundary of some kind. I've struck up conversations with different folks on the staff and everyone's been super friendly, a few even offering recommendations on future purchases.Recently, the website Leafly was promoting a 4/20 sale which included bargains on gummies and locally produced 250mg pens (Illinois represent!) MedMen appears to be frequently out of flower, so if dry herb is what your heart desires, I'd recommend Earth Med in Addison -- they always have trees available by the gram or quarter ounce.* TL;DR *In the midst of a global crisis, it's comforting to know that dispensaries are considered critical businesses. Medical patients still need safe and effective pain relief, and recreational customers need something to pass the time. Honestly, the whole world could benefit from some stress alleviation.Because MedMen's stock is reliant on those pesky laws of supply & demand, I can't knock them too harshly when they run out of bud. The fees are high, as expected; sales tax on edibles hovers around 13%, while concentrates/cartridges/high THC products are taxed nearly 30%. Great customer service helps to smooth over any rough edges.Check these guys out whether you're a seasoned pro or just a curious newbie. And if you're celebrating Snoop Dogg's favorite holiday tonight, remember the rules of puff puff pass and to spray that damn Febreze!
I've been really impressed with how they've setup the interior to ensure there's social distancing. They recommend that you order ahead online, and are always really flexible if I've needed to adjust the time. I find that they typically have a wide selection of options, and are well priced! I'd really recommend MedMen!
staff absolutely not helpful, prices atrocious compared to any major market... avoid. i wasted a trip stopping here mid day. don't do that!
It's so weird to leave a review for customer service on a rec pot store but I think her name was Sandra (don't quote me on that) but she was very helpful on her recommendations. Was my sleep a little off, yes! My pickleball game has improved but my pain has too. No more! Thanks Sandra...
Always friendly and helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to help however they can
I stopped here randomly and I liked this place so much I made it my medical dispensary. The team there were super helpful, excellent customer service here! They even went out of their way to make sure that I got all the discounts I had coming.
Nice staff very helpful
TOTALLY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
This is my go to spot usually no lines in and out always friendly 👍🏽
